Terrible customer service. Tried to find out more about the suitcase I wanted to buy but not even the manager could answer anything about it. He thought I was doing market research and asked me to leave the store.

Amazing selection of bags. Current, hip and stylish. Staff is wonderful. When we travel, this is the first shop I think about.

Small store but the guy was very helpful. My friends swear by this luggage so we shall see.

Not happy with their customer service and/​or policies. They were offering a 15% discount IF you have a current airline ticket to fly anywhere in the next month. I get the gimmick and all, but I just laid out $ 200 and it would have been nice if they could have extended the discount despite the fact I won’t be traveling for the next 30 days. I tried to use my friend’s ticket and got the «no bueno». Really?
I’m mostly annoyed at myself for not stopping my purchase altogether. Thought of it afterwards and then learned they don’t take returns (found the same stuff online). Double ouch! Won’t be foolish again by stepping inside again. Lesson learned.

quirky little spot I first discovered in San Fran while strolling through the union square area. finally had a need for one of their tech savvy travel accessories as my current passport case was wearing out and the Rfid trend seems to be ubquitous these days. got a Royce leather Rfid passport case and price was very reasonable even when I compared prices on Amazon.

I visited this store today and the woman working there was very pleasant. I liked a few of the small leather carry-​ons and I loved the bright colors of many items, but the overall selection was very limited. Of course, it’s a very small store — but I didn’t see too many things that I’d find real useful.

I’m so happy they have a store front because I was about to order some items off the website but it’s always nice to look at stuff in person too. They also had some items on sale that weren’t on the website.
I put together a Honeymoon travel kit for my best friend and her new husband as their wedding present. I got some bigger items like inflatable pillows, adapter and luggage tags, and was able to fill it out with some more fun, small travel necessities.
I wish they did carry a few more luggage tag and passport cover options that are a little more professional looking. They have ones that are basically plastic and look very cheap, and I don’t want one that says WTF or OMG on it. It makes me feel like someone would target me to steal my luggage for being douchey — plus it doesn’t really look good if you’re traveling on business. I’d prefer leather ones instead but without spending $ 50 a piece on it.
They have a lot of bags which is nice but also be sure to price check against Target, Bed, Bath and Beyond and other stores that carry some of travel items. The nice thing here is that they carry some things that are harder to find like the multi-​adapter in one.

A store that makes you look forward to that _​hour plane ride? This store is shaped like the inside of a plane. The way you can tell you are not entering a commercial airliner: it is a candy-​colored suitcase & travel supply wonderland where the employees are super friendly and it doesn’t smell. I was taking a trip to Savannah and decided to trade in my cheapo don’t steal me suitcases in for some luggage that expressed my personality and style. I found some really beautiful pieces (one on sale) and was even given a free fancy luggage tag! I love the retro feel of the luggage but done in more bright & modern colors. This is useful during baggage claim when you want to easily spot your bag. Mine practically glows in the dark! I found a purse in here for less than $ 100 that I am obsessed with, bought a fabric carry-​on roller bag and a very pretty backpack here. I also bought some travel supplies: an emergency blanket which came in a small pouch that was super cute and light, a Tumi memory foam neck pillow, and two cute luggage tags. This place is not super cheap, the stuff here is made to last so it is worth the investment. They have higher priced brand luggage in the back I am not sure on the pricing of all of that. I will come back in the future when I need more luggage & for sales.

This is a very neat store, and has all the products from their website neatly merchandised to look sort of like the inside of an airplane. Being a flight attendant, I loved it and wanted one of everything, but what impressed me most of all was their customer service. I am not from New York and had a bit of trouble finding this place and after google maps failed me, I called the store to ask for help… twice, because I was very lost. The girl was so kind and patient and told me how to get there, and I arrived several minutes later. The store attendants were welcoming and nice, and attentive to my needs as a customer but did not hover over me as I shopped, allowing me to take my time and pick out what I wanted to purchase, which is so nice. I would recommend this store. Yes it’s expensive, but their products are quality.

I’m a fan mostly because travel shops are great for me – I like seeing what they offer for when I travel in terms of bags, cool things like paper soap, and so on.
That said, this is not a very practical store in terms of their offerings. I’ve been all over the world, staying for weeks to months at a time. I am always in the market for better, cooler travel goods.
This store doesn’t have anything I’m looking for.
Sure, their stuff is packaged nicely, the brands are so cute, the colours draw you in and everything looks hip… but based on my experience, they’re missing a lot of practical items like an immersion heater (traveling water heater for making coffee or tea), and a whole bunch of other things I see in other travel shops.
They also carry this super colourful, cute brand for bags and other travel gear, but as ugly in comparison as it is, Eagle Creek is really a traveler’s dream for how practical their items are. I didn’t see a single Eagle Creek item.
I think they should forget about stocking luggage, and just stock bags, and lots of DIFFERENT, practical, traveling goods for real travelers?
How about having the whole GoToob selection, for starters? (I do find it more expensive there by about $ 2, however, so be forewarned)
It’s mostly colourful fluff for people who don’t really travel. That’s still appealing to me, but ultimately, I left without buying a single item.

Moderately pricey… fun…and extremely useful.
I am one with my suitcase, and consequently, I am one with things that go in, on, and near my suitcase. My Flight 001 purchases have effectively transformed the efficiency and style in which I pack, travel, and unpack. Plastic baggies are a thing of the past.
Can I help that purchasing items from Flight 001 has helped me develop a certain…“anti-blandness” to my travel regimen? Of course not. Is my luggage tag in a different language? How could it NOT be? Do I have separate bags for shoes, my bathing suit, and laundry? Doesn’t everyone?
Trust me — have some suntan lotion or shaving cream explode all over your neatly packed bag and you’ll never trust a Ziploc bag (for travel) again.
Favorites (and must haves):
— Any F1 Retro Tag — makes your bag easily identifiable in a sea of sameness.
— All (or some) F1 Go Clean Pack Bags — I have laundry, shoes, and wet suit. Laundry keeps the smelly stuff at bay, wet suit keeps even the soggiest bathing suit in its own little world, and shoes keeps those dirty gym sneakers (or otherwise used) away from your nicely pressed suit.
— Any F1 Retro Dopp Bag — keeps my electric toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, clippers, cologne, deodorant…(all that stuff) nicely zipped up in a very bright, very un-​leavable (in a hotel room) bag that is covered in a whole lotta not English.
— Essentials Bag — carry on approved and much easier to deal with than a Ziploc, can be filled with an assortment of 3oz (or less) of your favorite liquid (s).
You can definitely order this stuff online, but if you find yourself in the area, take a trip to the store itself. It is a very bright, very «operating-​room» white store with very cool music, cool shelving, and very cool people.

Interesting shop. It has not only suitcases, but also nice wallets, computer cases and helpful original stuff to travel. Good place to buy a present.

This place is good for:
Buying little things to take on your trip to make it oh-​so-​much-​more bearable if it involves something like, say, a 12 hour flight. Luggage tags, sleep masks, face wipes, toiletry bags, etc.
This place is not good for:
Buying luggage! Small selection and very pricey! Buy it online straight from the company and you’ll do much better.
Still a fun place to browse, and great for gifts if someone you love is a frequent flyer!

Looking for a hip, high-​end travel shop? Flight 001 is perfect. It has several different items, many of which are practical, others which are not so much.
My friend Evan and I stopped in so he could buy some travel items before his trip to Spain. He purchased a shoe bag, a converter, and a luggage tag for a little under $ 100.
I happened upon a few really cute and seemingly durable laptop and iPad cases that were more affordable than those sold by Apple.
They also sell lots of cute sealed bags of helpful airport items like sleep masks, dental kits, and sewing kits.
Definitely worth a gander.

Since I base my reviews on reality, 2 it is.
The store itself is small (but that’s Manhattan for u). The cashier was completely aloof. No greeting, no nod in my direction, didn’t even ask if I needed help or had questions. As a matter of fact he pretty much ignored me until I put an item on the counter to pay for it. Voila! He looked up and spoke and became insta-​friendly!
The product offering in the store as opposed to their website leaves a lot to be desired. No matter, most of the stuff is either useless or overpriced, with many things falling into both categories. This is not really a place for the frequent traveler to shop seeing as how you can get pretty much everything here thats useful somewhere else for cheaper.
It is fun to look at the unique (but useless) items. I mean I travel a LOT but I’ve yet to have a need for paper soap (or paper laundry soap, shaving cream, or shampoo for that matter). Maybe those items are more for the camping enthusiasts cause I can tell you firsthand that hotels will provide you with the above items in liquid form at no charge. And if you’re the type who gets skeeved about using hotel shampoo are u really gonna use paper shampoo instead? Umm no.
I thought I’d find more stuff worthy of my wallet but at the end of my Flight001 all I ended up with was a cutely packaged «flight kit» as a gift for a friend.
BTW they get bonus points for giving a 15% discount to flight crew w/​airline id!

I love to come in here and browse all the travel stuff. I’ve never really bought anything from them, but I have received a passport holder and luggage tag as a gift. So when I saw this place, I had to peek in and see what they had.
Lots of fun items, but for a hefty price. That didn’t stop me from getting two items: a travel document holder (in the same design as my passport holder and luggage tag) and a bottle of Evian face moisturizer (yeah, that was a splurge). The bf offered to pay so how could I not resist?

Flight 001, not to be confused with the bar Flight 151. Although everything in this store will get you prepped for your jet-​setting ways and get you on your way to the sky lounge in style!
It’s nice to have all these conveniences all in one place, but boy do you pay an unnecessary premium to have this convenience.
Seriously do the extra walking out this store and pop into all the other various stores that carry a few of the items here and move on to the next. I don’t care how long it takes you or how much MTA fare it costs you (even with the price hike on the MTA), it’ll still be worth it based on the amount you will save.
Yeah it’s a pretty cool environment and all, but clearly I’m not cool enough because there’s no way I’d spend the kind of money they’re asking for.
How this place has multiple locations is beyond me, I guess there’s just the reality that there are a ton of people out there that are far wealthier than me. Care to save a few bucks and take me along on your next trip with that saved cash instead?

I like this store a lot. I bought a laptop sleeve for my macbook pro here… some italian designer. They’re pretty hot, but I have to say the stuff in the store is a bit overpriced. If you’re traveling somewhere special, and wanna make it more special, go here and splurge a bit on yourself. It’s a great browsing place, and good for gifts too, but again the stuff seems a little pricey for what it is.

Flight 001 is like that girl with a beautiful face, boring personality, and unfortunate taste for diamonds. I really wanted to like this store, and it is *really* cute inside. But their selection is not so good, and as others have pointed out, prices are astronomically high ($ 65 for a plastic shirt bag?).
Instead, head to the Container Store, she is a little chunkier and not quite as much fun, but you’ll be happy you did. Their travel section is about 5X the size of Flight 001, with prices 50−80% lower and longer hours to boot.

This is a great little store if you need last minute travel accessories and don’t want to be running around town. The have funky designed travel pillows, an array of luggage tags, cute carry on accessories, items you can use the freshen up after a long flight such as lemon face wipes, soap, ling remover, foot wipes, sanitizer, etc.
Buyer beware, this store is expensive, but hey, where else can you get travel books, accessories, luggage and aerotherapy in the same spot. Probably anywhere, but are they in neat patterns and colors?

If you like to splurge, travel a lot and/​or like to have the coolest travel gear, this is definitely the place to go. I don’t have money to throw like this, but somehow I find myself in ther entranced and buying items.

I’m a big fan of the SF location so had to check out the NYC, and was not disappointed. The store concept is all about the glory days of travel, sort of that time when stewardesses made you swoon, and men wore suits on planes. Well, it’s not that drastic, but there is this sense of a return to making travel fun.
There’s always a great selection of hard-​to-​find luggage and bag brands, and I’ve bought my share of man purses here. Cool watches and travel accessories, even some watches. Also a good selection of travel guides to dream about seeing the world.
