Évaluation du lieu : 4 Upper East Side, Manhattan, NY
i have a dream that one morning i will sprint past this cart, hand off my 35 cents, and be handed a perfect banana(like a bona fide relay race). until then, i’ll continue to stop, pick out a banana, hand the man my 35 cents, say thank you, and continue my journey to the 6 train. this stand is always open – i’ve seen the guy sleeping in his van(adjacent to the stand) at 3a. the fruits/vegetables are good quality, more often than not better than gristedes(i really hate gristedes…) if you happen to be walking by, stop and check it out.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 New York, NY
Here’s to you, fruit and veggie guy, for supplying fresh produce to the Upper East Side around the clock. I don’t think you sleep, because I come home wasted at 4am and you’re still out there, pawning off white cherries and mangoes, mushrooms and baby spinach. Yet still, come 8:45am, you are setting up your awesome display of fresh green goodness. I could come home at 8am and wave to you as I pass, collapse for a half hour in my bed, and pass you again at 8:45 and you will inevitably be taking produce off your truck and setting up shop. How do you do that? You are the Groundhogs Day of New York City. You are inevitable. You are amazing. You only charge one quarter for my morning banana. I love you.
