Nice spot in the meat packing district. There were four of us on a Friday and we were able to snag a spot on this beautiful rooftop. Pretty good drinks and nice atmosphere.

Upsides — the view and the strong drinks Downsides — the waitstaff and the prices. We were lucky enough to get a table and enjoy the view. 2 or 3 drinks are more than enough, but if buying a round you’re almost out 100 bucks. Since we were enjoying ourselves we decided to sit down and eat. What for? We had to ask 4 different people if they would wait on us. Finally, the last girl I asked rolled her eyes and walked over to take out order but nothing worked in the kitchen. Shocker. It was before 10! After a while they took the dj away and the view got tired so we left. Nice place to start the evening but not stay all night.

We ate hotdogs, sweet potato fries and the Fat Cat burger. Quality of the food is really good. Price and size not. I know it is the meat packing district, but the burgers are really small in comparison to the burgers I’ve seen in NYC.

$ 375+tax and tip to sit at a tiny table drinking your red bull and vodka with sides. When I was there the song changed every 45 seconds with no tempo adjustment or freshman attempt at a musical liaison. These are not the most beautiful people in the Meat Packing district for damn sure, but I was definitely dragging down the average. For what it is, it’s not so bad, but what it is is awful.

I made a large reservation for the rooftop for my clients over a week before the event. I confirmed the week of and the day before. They called me 2.5 hours before my reservation(so 2pm, it was at 430pm) informing me that my reservation has been canceled since their was a buy out. WHAT? 2.5 hours before my client event? That is unacceptable! I had chosen the Gansevoort MP Rooftop because I heard it was fabulous and my clients wanted to experience a MP rooftop. Calling me 2.5 hours before my 15 person reservation is absolutely ridiculous, and their solution, was to move my party to their Oyster Bar(Toy Bar), I’m sorry but the purpose of making a large reservation at a rooftop bar is to experience the ROOFTOP! It’s an absolute shame since I plan many large client events and will never look into this place again.

Friend was a guest here for business for the entire weekend and the door guy acted like you needed your passport/social security/and first born child just to get into the elevator!!! I understand they want to be secure but. When your paying the amount you pay per night you should at least not have a problem using the elevator and be able to hang at rooftop before the general public Bad DJ on the rooftop

One of my friends booked a room here over Memorial Day wknd and invited a few of us to come and join her at the rooftop pool. The pool was a lot smaller than I envisioned but then again, as a NY resident, I don’t normally frequent hotel pools for comparison. There was a lot of people hanging around the pool to the point where people were seated on the floor to be in the sun. Towel service took longer than necessary to arrive — I had to personally call down asking for towels as housekeeping was ignoring the pool attendant. Outside of the pool, it was an interesting experience living like a visitor and not like a resident. But it’s definitely reaffirmed my preference for non-hip hotels when traveling on vacation. I’d rather spend a comparable amount of money at other luxury hotels(boutique or well established) that promote their amenities and their service vs. how cool they are. I can put a value on cool, but not on a flawless vacation.

I recently went to Gansevoort 69 cause their is a buzz in the industry that this place has lots to offer and it does! The food is fantastic and the music is AWESOME! There are some interesting pictures hanging up on the walls that reminds me of the old meat packing district that makes the place feel comfortable and inviting. The Late night menu is great cause i usually party in the neighborhood and seems like their open late night on the weekends so it works! Very happy that the OLDFLORENTISOUT and GANSEVOORT69ISIN!!!

I visited Gansevoort yesterday for a friends early birthday party and had a great time here. There was a DJ playing an array of music all of which was great, and pretty unexpected for a Sunday afternoon. The crowd was cool looking and not so stuffy as you’d expect and the drinks were nice and strong which is always a plus in my book. My bartender overcharged me on my first order of drinks but a few minutes later I brought it to her attention and once realizing that she was wrong, she apologized and offered to give me back my money. I opted for another drink instead. Another plus to this place was the food. It wasn’t very expensive and tasted great. I ordered a turkey club sandwich and a side of the«Sexy Fries» which were made with truffle oil, and had cheese sprinkled on them… one word YUM!!! At one point in the afternoon the music was so good a group of us couldn’t help but get up and dance. This apparently prompted some girls to hop on the counter and to dance as well… All I can say is Gansevoort made for a fun-filled Sunday afternoon with friends and a great birthday party. After-wards we walked down the block and too a stroll on the High Line as the sun set. Great time and would definitely go back.

I had one of the worst restaurant experiences here today for brunch and I’ve had some bad experiences in the past. The service could not even be considered«service», they ran out of several menu items and after 50 minutes I still had not received my meal, so I left. It’s unfortunate since it’s a block from my apartment, but I will never go there again. Steer clear!

Quite honestly I’m more of a Unilocal lurker and haven’t done my duty and reviewed the many, many restaurants I’ve had the pleasure/displeasure of experiencing in this great town. Thanks to Gansevoort 69 it all changes now. I wish I could give a ZERO star rating as I’m not a fan. We were seated rather promptly and forewarned by the rather clueless hostess that«the kitchen is slow today». Despite the fact it was nearly empty inside with a full patio mind you, on a gorgeous Sunday. You’re a restaurant in Meat Packing that is steps from the Highline. How can you be unprepared? Admittedly should have walked out. Our bad. Our rather slow-witted waiter then came by about 8 mins later to inform us «we have a great brunch menu with Chicken and Waffles». Dude. Its been 10 mins. I can recite the menu back to you at this point. Of course he reiterated the«kitchen is slow today». Again. Should have left. We were prepped for a wait and thought let’s see what the«Shake of the Day» is as that shouldn’t take long to make. Having called over Mumbles the Waiter to inquire, he told us that he didn’t know and he thought the shake machine was broken. I cannot share the state of said blender however as he never returned to inform us. All told we waited 45 mins. I’m not exaggerating. 45 mins with one refill on my rather watery coffee before Brainiac popped by to ask«You ordered the 69 Scramble right?». Remember this is at the 45 minute mark. I confirmed his suspicions about my order at which point he mentioned that they had run out of the smoked salmon which kinda was the point of the 69 Scramble lovingly described as «3 eggs scrambled with cream cheese & red onion, served on homemade lox, toasted bagel, tomatoes & pickled cucumber». Despite the 45 min wait our food was obviously not done at which point I explained to Einstein that«we were done» and stood up and walked out. DONOTGOHERE. There are far too many options in this town to deal with idiot waiters who plead«busy» and blame their mental affectations on the kitchen. This was fun! I guess I can thank Gansevoort 69 for inspiring me to rip on them. Just don’t eat there.

Nice intimate restaurant/bar in the meatpacking area. Good date spot, DJ plays house music on Friday and Saturday nights. Great staff.

Pretty decent DJ spinning on a Friday night. It was nice to ind a restaurant in the meatpacking that could quickly(if at all) seat a group of 13 with no reservation. Score 1. The food was pretty decent too. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty but was surpassed in quality by the sweet potato fry accompaniment. Score 2. Speaking of fries, I wasn’t too keen on the«sexy fries». The fries themselves were good but I felt they could’ve used a little more«sexy» on em. And the waitstaff was attentive. Ask and they deliver. Plus the owner/manager was hilarious.

I love Gansevoort 69! The food is amazing — I highly recommend the Tomato Bisque and Grilled Cheese, the tater tot’s with dipping sauces(Pesto, Ketcup and Chipotle) delish! And their Sexy fries — OMG! So damned sexy! My friends and I dine there so often that we have been given our own table by the staff! :) The staff is great! friendly and helpful — not usually what you find in The Meatpacking District! Toni — you guys rock! Oh — although I don’t eat meat — their Cobb Salad made me wish I did!!! and the Grilled Vegetable Panini… ok — i’m making myself hungry. just go see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

One of my favorite places to eat in the Meatpacking. Basically, comfort food meets classiness. I love a place that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day! These dishes are a bit on the pricey side, but you ARE in the meatpacking. The 69 burger(insert joke here) is very good! Gorgonzola, mushrooms, and meat on brioche; what’s not to love. Couple that with a side of they’re delicious fries and you will love me for recommending. The chicken and apple-waffles breakfast dish is alright, although you’re better suited going to Harlem for better Southern-slash-ghetto-style awesomeness! Open very late! So I actually, finally ate here and it wasn’t that horrible! Note*: –Fries pretty darn good –the little tater tots(i could be midwest bias) that are served before your meal with the little sauces are pretty good too! –my mac and cheese was ehhh not enough yellow cheeses HOWEVER my partners burger was goooood Overall the décor is much better than Florent… and I am sort of happy I came to experience«69»…my nose was sort of stuck up but it satisfied me. It’s def more tribeca-ish 4 stars for a good place to come, as always, after binge drinking 3 stars bc most food is A-ok some is yums

on my way to another venue, i literally stumbled in at midnite and sat at the bar to get some food. menu was relatively simple, basic… comfort food ! ! ! i ordered the burger, fries, and was given a container of tater tots. all good. what will get me coming back was the food being good, but i really liked the vibe and the staff was very friendly. I went back a week later at 2am. The mac & cheese w/bacon & ham was amazing. The staff AND the patrons were more than friendly and entertaining. Who knew sharing a bite of the mac & cheese would lead to a full-on back/shoulder rub. This place just doesn’t stop w/the surprises.

I think we were there on the cusp of them actually being open and ready to roll — nevertheless the food and drinks were quite good from what I tasted. Their take on the chicken and waffles has to be my favorite so far, the apple in the waffles worked very well with the salty crunchy chicken(which had a perfect crust). Points off for the high cost of beverages, I can swallow, so to speak, $ 14 fruity cocktails, but the 5 dollar glass of diet soda just feels insulting.
