Came here on a work lunch and it was the best 2 hours away from work! Such a cute spot that is quite busy but still has the cozy feel. The waitstaff was attentive and on point with our every need. The octopus was fantastic along with the penne with eggplant. Everyone at the table seemed to be enjoying their food and there were no complaints. Also got the taste that all of the ingredients were fresh, which is a do or die for Italian spots Definitely would return, it was deelish!!!

This review has nothing at al to do with the food, we have been coming to this space for over a decade, and in all that time the food has been nothing but exceptional. This review is entirely based in service, and lack there of. Lets get a few items out of the way… The hostess, nothing but kind and accommodating; checkin, coat check, waiting at the bar, handled with nothing but aplomb. The manager, checked with us at the bar several times, to make sure we were satisfied, while we waited for an additional guest, truly an unflappable professional. Bartenders the best and most knowledgeable with respect to their offerings. The issues began upon being seated, our waiter was completely disinterested in our table, our order or our satisfaction with being at Giorgone. Joao took our orders with what could only be described as contempt, and when given, he was off to tend to other tables. Eye rolls, and general dismissive attitudes did not go unnoticed by any of the guests I had in from Los Angeles that evening, up to a point, where it became the sole topic of discussion for the table during the later part of the meal. the food was classic Giorgone, Pork cooked to perfection, pastas, equally smooth and al dente, generally a great meal, made unfortunate by our waiter. What results is a restaurant that is a fantastic experience spoiled by bad service. my recommendation… Save the trouble, place a take out order and eat it out front.

Once over the summer Great atmosphere, very good wine, delicious food. However, waitstaff pays absolutely no attention to table, no checking if client would like another glass of wine while waiting for main course, no checking. Outrageously loud tables disturbing other guests, never asked to tone things down a bit. Yelling, swearing, etc. Second try is on me, the same thing happened. Too bad, done for us. Delicious food just isn’t worth all the drama

Came here for lunch– the place was decent and the atmosphere/service is nice. Ordered the duck parpadelle which was very good. Skip the burrata and tomato.

Had dinner here with the family. Excellent little place. Great bar too if you need to wait for your companions or just want a drink. We had a variety of seafood including a dozen plump oysters from the raw bar which they do really really well and a pizza and a poached pear for dessert. The ambience is great, the staff and I believe the proprietor really superior in every way, helpful, friendly, attentive but not obtrusive, and the prices very reasonable for both food and beverage. Highly recommend.

I’ve had it with this place. I’ve ordered from here at least 20 times, and it’s consistently late and the quality is inconsistent. I placed an order tonight and my card was charged(via Apple Pay), and two employees called me back to insist that it was not charged(even though it was) and asked me to call Seamless to deal with it directly because they are closed. WTF — no concept of customer service! Never ordering from here again.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few years ago. I went back last night and was quite disappointed with everything but my fish. They sat us in the back when the place was empty. I ordered the avocado appetizer which was fairly pathetic. They cut open an avocado and poured balsamic and salt on it — and not peeled! My fish was good. Service was ok. Wine was good but overpriced. Ravioli was ok. They need to step up their game.

Italienisch Essen in New York?

I’ve been going to Giorgione’s a lot for a long time. It used to be Great. Now it’s Good. I fear it’s heading towards Meh, I’ve experienced better. The problem is two-fold: the staff have developed attitude and dishes which can be great one night and poor the next – such as the Carciofi alla Giudia and any of the pizzas. I don’t know if the cooks rotate or if it’s part of the general problem that the restaurant doesn’t care as much as it once did. The restaurant is really big as it’s an L shape and the vib is normally nice although at times it can be a bit corporate. Everything here should work… good location, good menu, nice facility… if only they can get their mojo back.

The perfect place to meet your friends. Amazing wine, oysters, lobster. Nice and fresh, wonderful atmosphere. I actually went here twice during my stay. Also open for lunch. Lunch and dinner were both perfect!

This place is a work horse! Oysters are always on point. Pizza is always on point. Drinks are always on point. Service is usually quite good, thought a few times it’s been shaky, but more often than not, it’s top notch. Never have I met a dish I haven’t liked. I’m here all the time as a result! A great spot.

I’ve been to Giorgione more than ten times. It used to be a true favorite but we had not been back for two years when we went today. The burrata was a decent start and the pasta vongele was great. Lasagna was nothing to write home about, no texture and nothing really going on but the tomato sauce but good choice for kids. At desert it really went south. We ordered caramel and vanilla but got chocolate. The vanilla tasted way off, we could not eat it,(and I eat pretty much anything sweet to be honest.) The porter who brought it out said he could change the chocolate to caramel but assured us there was nothing wrong with the vanilla — he knew because almost everyone complains about it! Caramel came out, tasted just as off as the vanilla. It was floury and crunchy, like old. We left the ice cream untouched and asked to pay. I mentioned to the waiter as well that the ice cream was not good, it sat there uneaten. He shrugged his shoulders and left it on the bill. Wow. I will not be coming back.

Stopped here for a work-related dinner the other night with three colleagues. The food was quite good and the ambience even better. Stylish, comfortable, and low-key – that’s hard to find in New York, and for that I’m very grateful for Giorgione. We shared a couple of starters, and each ordered our own main dish. I can’t say I was enamored to any great extent by the food: it was good, but not really spectacular. That said, the waitstaff was absolutely charming, and that almost entirely made up for everything else. If you’re in the area and looking for Italian food, Giorgione is one of many other good options, and one worth at least checking out.

My ex boyfriend brought me here in october 2013 and i loved it. I went back again this past week and it was still amazing. the feeling of warmth and family. You must get the risotto, the tuna tartare, and the fried artichokes. the owner came over and said hello. we got the wrong salad(we got arugula) but we ordered the artichoke salad. still good though! The fish special(halibut) was out of this world. We could have ordered three of those halibut plates. But we got one and split it. YUM i can’t wait to go back

Had dinner with a few friends that I haven’t seen in a while and we had a great time. We were actually here some time ago for lunch and decided to try it for dinner. Right off the west side highway and tucked away from the beaten path. Funny story is the way we remembered this place was it was the place with the waiter/bus boy/barter tender(we could not figure out what he did) that was really buff. I mean this guy was so jacked it was like he was going to pop any second. Now depending on what team you play for it might be all well and good but for me it was just hilarious. Like I said the company was great the hostess was very friendly the food and drinks were great. My waiter recommend a lemonyish martini(the actual name escapes me because I did have not 1 but 3 too many). I had the lamb for dinner and the pennacotta for dessert. Both were very good The one thing I do have to say was the waiter while efficient was not attentive. He’s wasn’t friendly just very all business Not to the point were it made the experience bad but enough to were it was noticed by everyone at the table.

I’m not a fan on the owners roaming around the restaurant overseeing everything unless they are going to engage with the customers on some way. The food I descent I had the pear cake, I believe And the rest was unmemorable.

Modern, trendy décor. Okay service, great food. 1) Little necks and oysters(fisher island and wellfleet)– good 2) Cavatelli with smoked bacon and arugula– good 3) Roasted chicken with potatoes and glazed baby carrots– delicious 4) Honey pear cake– good but a bit dry
