Stellar customer service! I stopped in Goorin’s last Sunday. I knew that I wanted to buy a hat and that’s about it. I had no idea what style I was looking for or anything about hat sizes. I was greeted by the friendly staff and a gentleman asked if I needed any assistance. Of course I did! I didn’t catch his name but he was so helpful. and patient.and just genuinely kind. He led me to the perfect hat and from now on I don’t think my hat shopping experience will ever be the same. (Very dramatic but that’s what stellar customer service and a great product will do to you)

Very cute hat shop! I’m not really a hat person, but my best friend is. We always have to stop and take a look at any hat shop we pass. So for this one, we did. It’s a nice store with quite a collection. The people were very helpful and told us that the «spring collection» wasn’t here yet, but could make recommendations on the hats that lean toward spring. It was kind of cute.
In any case, my friend found a hat he really loved. I’ve only recently discovered that hand-​made hats are REALLY expensive. This one is a little cheaper than a few others we’ve looked at, and the quality looked quite good.
I ended up getting a regular baseball style cap with a neat modern design. It was $ 19.99, which is pretty awesome. The brim was in a nice tan leather.

Good selection of nice hats however they need to work on the staff. I went in and looked around for a few minutes while two employees chatted about nonsense and ignored me. I went back in a little bit later with my girlfriend because I was really interested in getting a hat and got a young lady to help me. She didn’t bother trying to size me correctly or figure out exactly which hat would look best. Not the type of experience I would expect from a place selling expensive hats.

Great customer service and adorable hats! My husband has a relatively small head and is bald. Finding a hat to fit him is a challenge — even in Manhattan.
This shop had tons of great options. The service is super helpful and very friendly. The prices are reasonable. We would definitely come back.

I love a place of business that recognizes the importance of customers and servicing those customers. This Goorin Bros. location goes above and beyond the norm. The cats and kittens that work there remember customers by name and also the tastes and past purchases. Add to that, the selection of hats keeps me loyal. I do not put any hat on my head that is not a Goorin! I cannot say enough about this place.

Every single person working here was extraordinarily helpful and kind. The guys at Goorin are exactly what every single high end retailer hopes for: personalized, individualized, attentive service. I was shopping for a hat for my mom for her birthday and found the right one. Turned out she wants to wait on it and come back in to try it on. Shout out to Alex and his awesome crew!

I cannot bring my paycheck in here. I will buy everything. Your stop in NYC is not complete unless you venture here. We love this place. The hats are quality, but wont break the bank. No tax either! I am waiting for one to open in PGH!

We’ve been to a few Goorin Bros. across the country, but of course, the one in West Village takes the cake! Everyone is exceptionally helpful and knowledgable, as with most Goorin shops. But I was so pleasantly surprised by the time they took at their most high volume location to get to know me and make me happy!
I called a week beforehand to secure the particular hat I wanted — I paid over the phone and they paired it with a feather and packed it perfectly in a hat box to hold until the following week. When I arrived it was ready for pick up, but not before we took it out, had a fantastic time going over its details, talked some hat history, and even went over terms for defining the many different styles of typical crowns and brims! A great company that clearly knows how to stay true to the millinery experience, which most definitely recalls all the fun people *should* have in a trip to a fine hat shop! I had the best experience ever, the last time I was in the West Village NYC store. All of the staff was great but GARRETT was exceptional!!! He went out of his way to find me a hat I seen online but sold out in all of the east coast stores and online. He kept calling around until he found it! That was some of the best customer service I’ve ever had. If want you to have a great experience too?! Go and see Garrett.

Staff extremely helpful with swagg for days. Blake hand-​stitched the custom feathers I added to make my wide brimmed selection unique. The hats are reasonably priced and you feel right at home in this debonair establishment. If you’re about that hat life, this is definitely the place to patronize.

Wow… Simply amazing quality hats and staff. I stopped by because I’ve heard stories of their selection and courtesy. They were all true. They went through about 4 options before they found me MY hat. I’m super satisfied! They also found me an amazing feather to add some flair!

I had the BEST experience here! My Mom and I were walking past and thought we’d stop in for fun because they’re were a lot of people in there, and we were curious. We had no intention of buying hats, because they never fit me properly. The staff was AMAZING! Blake started helping my Mom pick a hat that would work for her. Then he started helping me too. Garrett also started helping me and I started to want a lot of different hats. They were customizing then with foam on the inside to make them fit properly. And playing around with feathers as well. It was one of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had. And that’s all because of Blake and Garrett!!! I will definitely be back (we bought 4 hats from them) and I actually plan on going over there today to buy someone else a gift. Thank you Blake and Garrett!

The best hatter around. Quality of hats is superb. Durable and easy to care for. Reasonably priced. The staff is knowledgeable and always very helpful. There are MANY choices for hats especially here in the village, I only buy here.

This is an incredible shop that offers great service from knowledgeable, enthusiastic employees. Blake was incredibly patient in educating me about hats and helping me choose styles that matched well with my face (this was my first time shopping for a hat). I ended up buying one Good Boy and one Mr. Louisiana, both fedoras. This was absolutely a great experience and I’ll be back for a Gatsby flat hat.

For those wanting to step up their fashion game, headwear is a good way to top off your outfit. I’ve always been more of a fitted caps kind of guy, but have recently been experimenting with beanies, which are especially helpful this time of year in NYC. I don’t really care for the thick, knitted cap types that make you look like you are about to knock down your local Wells Fargo, so I’ve been on the hunt for thinner, slouchy styles that are warm enough to brave the winters in NYC and also not too restrictive for the more temperate climate back in CA.
Goorin Bros. certainly doesn’t disappoint! They have a wide range of stylish beanies (
) of varying thickness, some seemingly fit for an Alaskan expedition. I ended up getting this design (
) made of fine merino wool. I am still not bold enough to venture into the macintosh and derby section, but when I finally decide to level up my fits to an even greater level, I know where to turn.
The staff at this location is also very polite and helpful. One of the guys is even originally from Sacramento, so we got to talking about back home in NorCal. The funny thing is that I had no idea about Goorin Bros. being an SF-​based brand. Of all the years I’ve been living in the Bay, I had never even noticed any of their shops.
Lastly, the packaging is absolutely amazing here! With a purchase of a beanie, you get a cool cloth bag, but if you buy full-​sized hats, you get an amazing round box that can be used for a myriad of storage options in your home.

Le chapeau est l’élément de la garde robe qui définit tout un être. On né plaisante pas avec la qualité ici. Sur les conseils d’une amie américaine je me suis rendu chez Goorin Bros à la recherché d’un chapeau pour sortir en soirée mais aussi à porter avec un costume.
Les vendeurs sont très sympas et vous aideront à définir votre style. Possibilité d’agrandir un peu les chapeaux avec des sortes de «chausse chapeaux».
J’ai payé 130 $ pour mon chapeau et je né le regrette pas un seul instant.

Beards, bourbon, leather, canvas, lace, netting, metal. This old school hat shop is the real deal. The people who work here are the real deal. I ended up wandering in here on Halloween, half out of curiosity and half out of wanting to find a netted black hat for my witch costume.
The quality of the hats is very high, the material is rich and sturdy and beautifully crafted. Every hat I tried on, I wanted to buy!
Sort of on accident, I ended up finding the perfect netted headband and it was exactly what I wanted to spend!
They also do bourbon tastings every Thursday! I will definitely go back for that.
