Finally! A good wine store in the neighbourhood! If you’re into natural wine, unpretentious staff, you enjoy substance over style, frequent Ten Bells, Pearl & Ash, Estela, or the Tangled Vine, and(until now) used to shlep the Chambers St Wines or West Side Wine becaus you couldn’t find the wines you loved nearby, *and* you live on upper part of the Upper West Side, then this is your wine store. It’s that simple. Come here. Buy wine. Drink wine. Repeat.

One of my favorite wine stores in NYC. Staff is really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Nice wine tastings. Not a huge space, so the sheer number of bottles is not as vast as in some stores. But a great place to shop.

Ask for Marco ‘Pips’ Piparelli! He really knows his wines.

This indeed is good as it gets! The store is wonderful — the staff is full of knowledge and I always leave with the finest wine for a well suited occasion based solely on recommendation. I enjoy the iPads, the vinyl player and they’ve created a great ambiance to get delicious wine! They also have a wonderful blog with funny and thoughtful articles. Visit for all your wine needs!

Love this place. From the moment I walked in, I knew I’d entered a shop where they not only knew the wines, but they cared about the wines. Had a great conversation about different Pinot noir from California and Oregon. One of the best shops in the city!

They are knowledgeable and friendly. They can help you find a good $ 15 bottle or a $ 75.

The only place in the city I actually buy wine anymore. Good, knowledgeable staff, great wines, wine tasting on weekends, and great service. I love a place where they not only know me but also know what I like to drink and I’ve never been disappointed with any recommendation. Or with any wine I’ve purchased for that matter. Highly recommend. Oh, and did I mention your dog is welcome?

So nice! Good service and very knowledgeable! If you go to their wine tastings, you’ll know a lot about wine. Price range excellent, customer service personal, kind, and attentive. They recognize their customers, know their preferences and make good recommendations based on past likes and dislikes.

This is a very well curated, sleek but cozy wine shop with great finds from small interesting vineyards! This is my go to NYC wine shop. The staff at Grape Collective are extremely approachable and will help you to find the perfect wine to match any mood or meal. They really get to know winemakers and post videos about them. The Friday and Saturday evening free wine tastings are fun, too. And I’ve also gotten some fab deals with free delivery in the neighborhood.

Thrilled to have such a fabulous wine store in the hood– Grape Collective is now our go-to for wine, as well as wine recommendations– the best selection north of 96th street.

Thank you! Your staff turned me on to my new favorite white wine. I went out of my tried and true comfort zone, whites from Tuscany or New Zealand and bought a wonderful wine from the Piedmont area of Italy. It was just what I was looking for!

This is my go to wine place. It has a great selection and friendly, knowledgable staff. There are definitely some people there who are less chatty than others, but they all seem to know their stuff. The prices are very reasonable too.

Was pleasantly surprised when I first stopped into Grape Collective about a month ago, at the large selection of good wine and straightforward layout and organization of the store. So that’s why I returned the next time I was in the neighborhood with my friend who is from the area. The first time I’d come to the store, the service was just fine. Sadly, this time around my experience was not as nice. The employee who was working the store did not greet us when we came in, but did greet the woman who came in after us. The difference between us and her? She was white and middle aged, and we are brown and in our twenties. This gentleman also did not offer the wines available for their Friday evening wine tasting to us, while he handed her a glass upon her entry to the store. I still bought the wine I was intending to, but I won’t be back.

Glad to have Grape Collective in the neighborhood. A well-curated stock of wines and spirits with knowledgeable staff who are genuinely interested in helping you find something just right(and not just promoting the highest priced options). With Xi’an Famous Foods and Sal & Carmine Pizza on the same block, and Jerusalem Restaurant a couple blocks north, the West 103 Street #1 Station could become a destination stop. I can only think negative reviews are because of growing pains. My experiences have only been good, and they are always interested in ways to improve.

This store is a real neighborhood gem. It has a fantastic selection of wines, including hard-to-find wines and wines from smaller producers. The store’s employees have introduced me to a lot of interesting wines that I would not have otherwise tried, and I love they they are always happy to share recommendations for wines in every price range. The store offers a fun, interactive element to shopping for wine(the weekly tastings are awesome!). What a great addition to the neighborhood.

I’ve been here several times and the people are usually knowledgeable and helpful, but last time I went in I was in a rush and just wanted a quick recommendation so I could jump in a cab and head to dinner at a friend’s apartment in the East 50s. The only employee working there said she didn’t know anything about wine and her co-worker who did know all about wine went out to pick up dinner. HUH??? Why in the world would the guy who knows about wine leave the store when the only other employee knows nothing about wine? Seriously frustrating. Ended up buying wine at First Avenue Vintner when I got to my friend’s neighborhood.
