I go here fairly often. Always fresh, but sometimes inconsistent. Sometimes the side salads have little bits of olives and oregano. Other times, it’s all leafy greens. Prices went up a touch, which seemed to help with the lines. Food has gotten a lot better though they couldn’t honor my request for well-done fries. Bummer but understandable. I will stick to the slaw instead and get my crispy fry fix elsewhere. Orzo was surprisingly good but I prefer the platters. Feel bad for whoever has to call out numbers that day — the acoustics in there are still pretty bad so he has to scream over a lot of reverberating conversations.

I’ve been here twice and this place has really great food. The reason I give it only 3 is because of the service. It’s not a sit down and someone serves you, but I do expect to have people with a nice demeanor. The first time I went was on New Years Eve. Again, food was great. I ordered the chicken yeero on a pita and the Greek frozen yogurt with sour cherries. Amazing. What left a bad taste in my mouth was when I was standing off to the side waiting for my food and the woman calling out orders gave a really nasty attitude and tone of voice. I didn’t hear her the first time because it was a little busy. The second time, my job ordered in and they delivered. Again food was amazing. They miscounted and gave one utensil short which isn’t a big deal, but then they also forgot a Greek frozen yogurt order. So someone called to have it delivered since we did pay for it and was also given a nasty attitude over the phone. Not to mention that the order never came. Overall food is great, but I’ve had a bad experience with the service at this location.

GRK is one of the better lunch options near grand central. It’s really quick and the food is pretty good. Normally I tend to order a plate with chicken, grk sauce, and the seasoned fries(which are amazing). I also happen to LOVE the Greek salad. The salad just has large pieces of cucumber, tomato, feta and olives. I tend to visit GRK at least once every other week and it’s a great place to go for lunch if you work in the area! In response to Marino: Yes! I did find out about you guys on Unilocal.I actually just started working in the area a few months back and searched for some lunch spots on Unilocal. Thanks! Alexa

This place is really good I’m only giving it a 4 because I wish they would serve more steam brown rice with the meal. Still good enough, it’s quick fresh and healthy and good prices for what you get. Definitely recommend people try the beef and lamb yeero.

I’ve only tried the greek salad with chicken(without feta cheese or onions). Big portion to me, tasty chicken, and it comes with a side of pita which is perfect for the sauce at the bottom. It’s around $ 14. The wait: the line to order is not too long. I think sometimes they are too fast to take orders. There isn’t enough waiting space. The wait for food takes a while. I’ve never timed it but I think it’s between 5 – 10 minutes. They have a guy yelling numbers — feel bad for him and wonder if any saliva gets on the food that’s not wrapped in a bag!

I have absolutely no idea why this place has such high reviews? Ordered the chicken plate and the beef/lamb pita and nothing at all had flavor. The fries were even bland, seriously no taste? I have had Greek food before and love my place in Cali and the GRK is no comparison. The sauce had no flavor, I’m rather upset I wasted $ 35 on this place. The only good was the ginger soda. Avoid this place if u want a good lunch.

Decent no frills Greek food close to my NYC office. I got the plate with chicken, brown rice, and the spicy yogurt for $ 10(includes pita and small salad) and loved the herbs and scallions in the brown rice and the chicken was tasty with the spicy sauce. No line after lunch rush although they appear very efficient at moving orders through the queue.

Hungry? Tired of the same old buffet places on every corner of Lex and 3rd Avenues? Try GRK. The menu is simple and the food is good and relatively inexpensive. $ 12 gets you chicken, Aegean slaw(their version of cole slaw = less mayo), tzatziki sauce and a couple of slices of pita. Everything tastes good and is very filling, though I’m not sure how healthy the actual chicken is, seems like it’s a bit on the oily side. The line can be a bit long but it goes by quick and if you have 5 minutes to wait, you’ll be able to snag a seat. Overall good lunch in Midtown East.

Grk is definitely one of those lunch spots you visit when you want something healthy yet filling. It is not the place you go to if you’re in a rush to get back to the office and/or looking to spend under $ 10 on lunch. People are not lying when they say the lunch line is LONG. Nearly out the door. The line does move quick but people congregate by the counter in hopes they hear their order number called out. It’s loud up front therefore you really need to pay attention so you don’t miss your food. For $ 12 I received a chicken platter with brown rice, a side salad, spicy tzaziki, and warm pita. The chicken was very good and flavorful, the tzaziki was some of the best I have ever had, the pita was warm which is always appreciated, and the salad was just okay. The brown rice was also just okay but it’s a better option than fries, IMO. Overall, Grk is a solid lunch spot for those looking to eat on the healthy side, however, don’t expect to be in and out.

Waited over 30 minutes to get my food which is awful when you have to get back to work! A bunch of tickets were messed up due to a system issue… if I hadn’t gone up to check on my order I’m not sure I would have received my food. Putting the chaos aside, the food was decent. I got the portobello plate with fries. The fries were delicious and crispy. I thought the portobello pieces were cut way too big, smaller pieces would have made filling the pita easier. The GRK sauce was refreshing, just wish there was more of it.

Grrrr, Grk is so good, I actually can’t wait for it to be a weekday so I can go get it again… Many Midtown restaurants are opting for a protein + veggie + side + carb platter(think roti, Chipotle, etc.) so that their patrons can get a taste of a lot of things for a decent price. For about $ 10, you can get fresh food and feel good about eating healthy. You can have your food in a pita or in a platter. I always opt for the platter, as I’m a fan of just eating pita plain. If platter, pick your choice of meat and side and sauce. Pork is usually the best for me — it’s a good combo of fat and meat shaved right off the rotisserie. It is soft and thin and has such a good taste. As for side, brown rice is for me, although I’ve heard their French fries are great! Choice of sauce, gotta go grk(super refreshing). There’s a side of salad(aka lettuce and tomato) and pita bread included. They also have homemade greek yogurt, which I have yet to try, but it looks delicious. This place gets crazy busy right during lunch, although I’ve yet to see the line go out the door. It does also move fairly quickly, but to be honest, gets confusing as there’s just a mob of people in the front. This is because everyone here is waiting for their number to be called out. Unfortunately, this is the down side to grk — there are so many people there, making it extremely difficult to heary our number. Plus, I’ve heard them call out anywhere from 6729 to 7013 the next minute. How?! As for seating arrangements, they’ve actually done quite a clever job by arranging a bar-style table parallel to the line along with many other tables, making it not too difficult(or at least a long wait) for a table to sit down and enjoy your food.

Ordered the Chicken Gyro Plate. Came with a sliced Fries, Pita Bread, Kaftero Dip Sauce and a small salad. Fries were seasoned and tasted GREAT! The Dip had a little kick and a fresh taste. Pita Bread was soft on the inside and not dry like some places. Restaurant is clean, modern and welcoming.

I’ve already concocted the perfect Greek yogurt: 0%, black cherries, mango, and lots o’ honey. I would eat this every day if it weren’t for the $ 5 price-tag and the fact that I could buy 5 Chobani’s whenever Fairway does a special. The madhouse lunch lines always scare me into picking the easiest thing off the menu(the idea of hemming and hawing at chicken versus lamb while someone clacks away on their Blackberry behind me is the stuff of nightmares) — the Greek salad. $ 10 and ridiculously overpriced but I like the idea of eating tomatoes and cucumbers as I slowly ruin my hips by sitting for 10+ hours of the day. One day I’ll actually work my way to the platter side of the menu. Pita slices are hit or miss but I usually end up eating them anyway.

I popped in here many times since it opened, for my usual– 2% greek yogurt with rose preserves and fresh figs. Its to die for– almost good as a Moustache Yogurt(please look that up and try it if you’re a yogurt fanatic) First time eating an actual lunch item here. I opted for the chicken pita/yeero… And its wonderful. Marinated very well, juicy… I love how you can choose between 3 diff Tzatziki sauces! The menu is simple, easy to order. Just a warning– if you go during high peak lunch hrs, you have to wait in a very long line(but you can get in and out in 10 – 15 mins). Another plus– you can connect to free Wifi(thanks to Club Quarters next door)

Really efficient at the midtown east lunch rush, have always wanted to try but never wanted to splurge so to speak(usually keep my lunches to a dull, healthy, cost effective salad). They got my order and got me through the line with my Food in under ten min(dont let the vision of this line out the door fool you). Their green tzatiki is a stand out(get it with ur meal, i had to add on later on for a $ 1 because i tasted my friends and needed it). Chicken plate with brown rice, sauce, salad, and pjta is divine. Thought i would try and save some for dinner but no chance in hell given how good it is. Walked out at $ 11 and well worth it on a summer friday. I dont think i will need much dinner. Yum!

I’ve been to this place twice now and it’s probably one of the better spots to go around midtown. Disclaimer: the line gets very long during lunch time but you gotta wait it out if you have the time. As I always say, if you’re Unilocaling and you give a poor review or are upset cause of a long line/wait, there is nothing wrong with the restaurant. you’re just impatient. The restaurant itself is very nice. Mostly wooden and eyeballing a seating of around 50 people? I ordered the plate both times I went — never got the pita, although the plate comes with ¾ pita slices. You choose your protein aka a yeero, your side sauce aka tzatziki and side. a side is a side. I’ve gotten the lamb/beef with brown rice, and the chicken with the brown rice. I’ve gotten the kaftero(«spicy») sauce both times. It comes with a side salad. The food is just delicious. It doesn’t look like a lot at first but mid-way through your meal you wonder if you’re gonna finish it. First the meat. the most important. The lamb/beef were just great. It was a little dry? But seasoned and marinated very well. The chicken. oh the chicken. It was not dry, and had a good amount of oil and had some chicken skin. I definitely enjoyed the chicken more. It had so much flavor and tasted like it was marinated for days. The brown rice is pretty on point. I’m Asian so I love rice and have a high palette for the texture, taste, consistency, sweetness, moisture, etc. of rice. The rice here? It’s good. Hahaha just kidding — but no it’s good. It’s a bit«al dente» aka hard but just tastes very hearty and is cooked perfectly every time. The pita is good — although one time my friend said his was really burnt? It happens I guess. The salad hads a freshness to the wheat-y carbs from the rice and pita. Overall, this place is a 5. Just a really good spot — tastes good, is reasonably priced($ 10 and change for the plate), and isn’t really that oily or seems like it has many preservatives. They’re very consistent with their food as well which is obviously important. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area and if you work around the area and have a bit of time, wait in line and grab this for lunch.

After hearing my non-Yelper co-workers and colleagues raving about Grk, I must check this place out to see what it was all about. I don’t believe anything unless I taste it. Located on the center of busy streets of corporate offices on Lexington Avenue, it is no shocker that the line is nearly out the door during lunch hours. Grk serves up what I’ll call a ‘healthier’ fast food Americanized Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. Many people compare them to Chipotle which I can see why(even though I hate Chipotle with a passion). Very simple décor meant to say, eat and go. Behind the cashiers, you can see the kitchen staff working hard back there and fresh meat being cooked. Also, an oven where a staff member is grilling the pita. Smells so good in there! I ordered the platter which comes with a side Greek salad, pita, and your choice of tzatziki sauce; I went with Kaftero, the spicy option. I must say I did enjoy my platter very much, particularly the pita bread and the Kaftero sauce. Fresh pita bread dipped in the spicy sauce with hints of habanero peppers, herbs, and spices. Get the pita and sauce! The Greek salad is a fresh salad, it’s expected to be tasty and nothing too extraordinarily different. Chicken meat was more on the dry side but my personal preference, I like smokey and super charred meat so it was alright for me. Although, nothing wow’ed me too much but it is consider above standard as a lunch option. Overall, a very decent lunch spot for the busy area but not something I would travel crosstown for. Due to its proximity to my office, there will be repeated visits for sure. I can definitely say I like this place.

First time here, suggested by Unilocal as a New Business Opening. Very blocks from my building but so worth it. A lot of people were eating — in but most ordered out like me. I ordered a plate with Lamb & Beef Yeero, Grk Tzatziki, and Brown Rice. I didn’t have to wait long to get my food and the service is pretty quick. The ingredients tastes so much and fulfilling in my tummy! Its a bit pricey but you are definitely getting a good amount of food during your lunch hour!

Okay folks, GRK hit it out of the park today yet again with its 2nd location in NYC, 3rd location in the good ‘olé US and the 4th location worldwide. Dubai being the other. GRK or Greek Rotisserie Kitchen is both good and fast but should in no way be misconstrued as a fast food joint. I decided to have the rotisserie chicken on a pita and my bud had the chicken on the Greek salad. My munchkin had the avgolemono soup(chicken rice with egg and lemon sauce). She said it was yummy. The word scrumptious came to my mind. We were lucky enough to have the foresight to swing by before the 12PM rush and boy were we glad we did. Besides some of the authentic Greek sodas they also serve authentic Greek yogurt with – as you may well have guessed by now – authentic Greek toppings. Perfect dessert accompaniment to the perfect lunch. I didn’t spot any first day kinks, and I thought I saw one of the principals swing by to keep a watchful eye over the operation. Overall a great lunch experience!
