This place loves to switch out their bagels for cheap bagels every other day, and charges the same price. Their checkout system is also a mess.

The coffee is good and the bagels average. service is also average. They are very overpriced here for all items.

Once in a while, I come here for some kind of home made food. Usually, I order salmon + 2 sides. The best is teriyaki salmon… I do NOT recommend salmon burger and have to say that rice with spinach is always delicious. Price for lunch(entre+2 sides) $ 10.83 taxes includes.

This is my go-to lunch place during the week, and most mornings I’ll pick up breakfast here as well. Large selection of gourmet coffee, and the sandwiches are great(I always get the eggplant panini). Sometimes it can get a bit unorganized when the breakfast and lunch crowds hit — there could be a more efficient way of ordering & checking out. Other than that, Guy & Gallard is a great all-in-one place to eat.

Whatever you do, don’t get the chicken caeser wrap. I’m not even sure what was in mine but it definitely wasn’t fresh chicken or romaine lettuce. The wrap had clearly been sitting around for hours because the abundance of croutons were soggy/mushy. I could barely eat half, it was not fresh at all. Complete waste of ~$ 8, won’t be going back.

I have a love-hate relationship with this location. The food is fine, but the service and prices leave something to be desired. I am only in the city one or twice a week now(if even) for work-related things, but when I do I will occasionally stop here because it is close by to where I need to be. I used to frequent another G & G when I worked elsewhere in the city. The prices, of course, are high but this is 7th avenue in the city, so I guess that comes with the territory. The main issue is the service. Only one guy who works in the morning is polite– the rest clearly do not value regular business. The people at the register are always rushing you to clear the line, always throw change at you and don’t wait for you to put it away. And like someone else on here said, I don’t understand why they never keep the coffee lids anywhere near the actual coffee station! Someone is going to get burned one day, running around this place with hot coffee and no lid.

Had an iced hazelnut coffee which was very good. They make custom salad blends with a large selection of ingredients to choose from. Nice quiet space compared to many similar places in the area. Good for conversation or lunch alone away from the city noise. Enjoy!

This place is the worst! I just found a dead bug in my salad(that BTW I was overcharged for). I hope the health department pays them a visit before someone gets food poisoning. I was already annoyed about being overcharged, then I went to take a bite of my salad and found a dead bug(fly) on the cucumber. GROSS. I called the(rude and not very bright) salad guy out on the overcharge and he started arguing with me so I just said whatever. It was only .50 cents over but its the PRINCIPLE!!! Rude employees and bugs in the food. I do NOT recommend! Disgusting!!!

Eh, could never get behind this style of establishment, but a solid selection all things considered. Skipped their aLocal and Groupon deals for all locations.

Came in for coffee and a croissant before a meeting. I asked for a croissant with cheese but they gave me one with ham and cheese(yikes!). The manager was really great in replacing it with no questions so I really appreciate it! The lemonade is also very good.

There was a three week stretch where I ordered Seamless from Guy and Gallard for lunch 5 times a week. The delivery was always fast, the food was consistent and the pricing is fair. I would say their best sandwich is the Turkey club and their best deal is the lunch special that comes with a soup(I like the chicken dumping a lot), sandwich and a bag of chips for like 10 bucks and change. Guy and Gallard gets the job done for lunch.

This place is fantastic! The staff is all friendly. I went here 3 days in a row for breakfast last time I was in town. There berry muffins are flavor packed. And ask for it toasted :)

Update: I nosily asked my coworker where she got her lunch, since it looked delish. She told me Guy & Gallard so I decided to give it another try. I’ve been back a few times for their entrees(Chicken Breast, salmon, roasted veggies, roasted beets). The portion is generous, food yummy, and price reasonable($ 10ish). I will definitely be back, but will not be ordering on Seamless.

Decided to get a Groupon deal that was $ 25 for $ 50 gift card thinking it would help save some $$$ for the new year. Thats really about all it did for me. Went in on Monday to claim my card and order a simple lunch… I opted to order a «fresh» made sandwich instead of one of their already prepared ones. I went with a chicken salad sandwich on 7 grain bread with lettuce and tomato. What I received was chicken salad with barely any mayo, so little in fact that I got a side of mayo. The 7 grain bread tasted so old, stale and dried out that the sandwich literally fell apart in my hand with each bite. Needless to say it wasnt a good experience. Here is to hoping it was a one time thing and that remaining balance of my $ 50 card will be better utilized if I am to return after it runs out.

I would give this place one star, but I feel that’s not far as I do eat here probably twice a week. Its literally downstairs from my office, and I NEVER have cash for the deli’s. I will give credit where credit is due. Their food is not bad. I do enjoy the salads and the sandwiches. Slightly pricey, but hey… its 7th ave. Where they lack… or should I say… don’t have ANY of… is customer service. THEYARETHERUDESTSTORE(except my main man in the morning who does the bagels… terrible at his job, but hes always smilin!) The set up is just terrible, people running around with their open coffees because they keep the lids five feet away. The people at the register rushing you and not letting you close your wallet before you are shushed away. The salad makers literally snack on the toppings while they make your salad. Its literally credulous. However, i will prob get a salad from there today and put up with it.

During the past 4 years, the Chelsea Guy & Gallard location has been a regular spot for me throughout the work week. There was a time when I would regularly stop by for a self-pour hot coffee(their Pumpkin Spice coffee is great, when they have it) and an egg and cheese burrito in the morning. Unfortunately, I have become more and more frustrated with the customer service from the cashier staff over the past several months. During the mornings, they rush you out the door by sometimes ringing up a standard order inconsistently as an «open charge.» Then, in the afternoons, the sense of urgency that is very obvious before 1:00PM has been lifted to showcase a much slower mindset. Lately, there has been some confusion when working the register. Today, a young lady was trying to pay by credit in front of me. After several attempts at swiping a handful of cards, the cashier finally decided that the machine isn’t accepting credit cards. She kept looking around, I assume to catch the eye of a manager so she can ask for help, but she didn’t say anything. Clearly, the dilemma wasn’t important enough to make her leave her post or ask a colleague to find a manger, so I left my coffee on the counter and walked out the door. From now on, I will walk the extra block to Starbucks to get a coffee that is probably double the cost in order to receive better customer service.

Salads are just ok, same as other places nearby but the lines are shorter for lunch. I liked Fresh & Co or Sweetgreen better.

I came here with my friend for dinner after a kickboxing class nearby. They have table service. They have fresh squeeze orange juice and I got a glass of wine for $ 4! I ordered the grilled salmon with veggies and my friend got the fettuccine with chicken. Salad came with her dish. I was quite impressed and happy with our food and service. And our meal was reasonably priced. I will come back here for sure.

I’m really bummed to give G&G a 2 star review. I moved to my new office in Chelsea and this is a 2 min walk for me to grab lunch or get a quick delivery from. I usually order the Cajun Salmon from here with the Orzo and Green Bean sides without too much complaint. Sometimes the Salmon is slightly oily but for the most part its good. For a lunch under $ 10 can’t complain too much. Today I thought I would venture out and order something different. I ordered the Meat Lasagna for pick up. As you can see from the photos attached it was far from the pleasant unwrapping I experience when ordering the Salmon. There was literally a pool of grease on the top of the lasagna. When I was opening the lid to the container grease was being splattered on the table… It was disgusting. I took one bite and into the trash it went. Had I had more time, I would have walked right back to the Café and gotten a different order or my money back. Unfortunately I was on lunch and didn’t have time… Its going to take me a while to order from here again. My stomach is incredibly upset from the bite I had and today’s lunch has turned me off…
