Prices are not listed because they make it up when you walk in. All tools, bottles, and materials are pretty much filthy and obviously never sanitized. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they did a pretty decent job on my nails and toes. Very precise and diligent. Not worth it — walk a few blocks north on Lex and you’ll find a much cleaner joint. $ 30 mani/pedi, but beware because it may change.

I usually come here to get a manicure and pedicure and I absolutely love it. The staff always listens to what I want and most importantly I never feel rushed. The place is very clean and they offer a variety of services. Everyone is friendly and I already introduced a couple of my friends to this place and they liked it. The salon is definitely worth checking out!

From my appointment in May — Awful eyelash extensions. Awful service. I bought a groupon for eyelash extensions here, and upon arrival I was told I was early like it was a problem(I was 5 minutes early and happy to wait). Then, when I was about to be brought back for my appointment, a blow-out walk-in came in and asked if they had time to fit her in. The lady who seemed to run the shop said yes and then person who was then going to take me back, asked me to hold on just one moment, so I sat back down while she spent 20 – 30 minutes on a walk-in customer. Only reason I didn’t walk out was partly because I was in shock, and because they had me pay up front before my appointment(was just visiting so not sure of this is the norm here?) Once it was time for my(late) appt, it only took 30 minutes. I was in shock since it usually takes 2 hours. It was awful. Wish I had took a picture but right after I left I ended up pulling out All of my lashes(that’s right, the glue used was so bad that I was able to just pull them off!) The lady that did my lashes did feel really bad and tried to fix things and was nice but there was no possible fix other then re-doing them the correct way.

Had a lifebooker deal for highlights cut and blow out($ 79), I called to make the appointment and told her i had below shoulder length hair and asked is this deal vaild and will it take more than 2hrs, she told me it was fine and 2hrs would be enough. On arrival she charged me $ 10 tax and then once i sat in the chair that it would be a little more for my hair length… erm hadn’t i already asked this?! Charged me an additional $ 40 and then extra tax on that, Also didn’t have time for the cut and the blow out was shabbier than i can do in 5mins after a quick wash at the gym. Also not impressed with the highlights will probably re color tomorrow. DONOTRECOMMEND!

I have never written a bad review before ever but this was the worst manicure/pedicure experience I’ve ever had. This place is NOT clean or professional. I do not recommend anyone go here. I had a lifebooker coupon and they told me in order to get soap with my pedicure I had to get a «spa» pedicure. They did the bare minimum and when I asked to have the bottom of my feet buffed they told me it would be $ 5. I asked them to put soap in the water if I was going to pay $ 5. The women, looking upset, went into the bathroom, took the soft soap and started pumping it into the water. She was incredibly rude! Do not go here!

It’s unfortunate that I have to even leave a star. This is by far the world’s worst customer service. Both the manicurist and the receptionist were extremely unprofessional. they took over an hour for my pedicure. No massage no oils. This was a no-frills manicure pedicure. I asked for the advertised special, they refuse top honor upon checkout. I paid $ 60 for the $ 23 manicure pedicure. I tried to dispute it but the receptionist Refused. She claims the special is only valid Monday and Tuesday. this is not indicated anywhere on the advertisement. The quality of my manicure and pedicure is horrible. I am now having to go get one elsewhere.

Don’t go. Just don’t. They are very nice and friendly but they’re gonna charge you more than what they say and they’ll do a terrible job with your nails. My toes hurt when I walk because the lady who was doing my feet while on her personal cell phone was just randomly cutting my nails and she cut them too much so i have skin exposed. Also, the nail polish wasn’t dry enough when I left(their dryer is very very bad) and now it’s all wrinkly from the shoes i was wearing. Just don’t waste your money here. Go the the other nail salon right in front.

DONTEVERGOHERE. This is my first negative review on Unilocal, and I’m only doing it to save people from this place. I went in for a blowout because I had a $ 20 Unilocal coupon. They gave me a hard time, then tried to upsell me. After my blowout, the woman began CUTTINGMYHAIR, without asking me. I initially thought she was cleaning it up as part of the blowout. I went to pay, and they charged me $ 55 for the whole thing. I went home and my hair was BUTCHERED. I’m talking completely uneven. I had an engagement party that night, and looked AWFUL. They were completely unapologetic and rude.

I walked in for a wash & blow out. The guy did a great job, but when I went to pay the lady tells me $ 35. The sign outside says $ 25 she goes to me well he used a curling iron on your hair & that is extra. I was a little irritated since I was not told it would be more to use a curling iron. Unfortunately I will not be back.

Just had a great experience. Everyone was really nice. However I was unsure of the prices because it seemed to be one thing and then changed to something else. However, because the services were so fabulous I didn’t mind paying the price. Rosie is great!

Leaving a review as the previous Unilocal reviews had helped me make a decision about whether or not to make an appointment. This is my first Unilocal review and is driven by a desire to warn others who like me read reviews before trying a new place. I called before setting up the appointment once I saw the Groupon deal and wanted to make sure that they would accept the deal and had availability. I booked an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. While getting my nails done, I was repeatedly asked by the other women working in the salon if I wanted other services including a massage or wax. I said no, but after the third inquiry(I was the only customer in the space on a Saturday afternoon) about more services and specifically colour, I asked how much for the roots. I was told a certain price which I agreed to. While the manicure by Lucy was good, the extra charges tacked on for the colour were not. In addition, charging more for paying by credit card is something that shouldn’t be done, and if you’re going to do it anyways, you should at least post this. The other additional charge was for my hair to by blow dried but this was not discussed with me until the service had been rendered and it came time to pay. I assumed it was included in the colour charge since the stylist did not ask and just went straight to drying. It’s very common for a quick dry to be included(I’m not talking about a blowout) so that the stylist can check the colour. I was quite surprised when it came time to pay and I was told the charge for the hair was 163% more than what was discussed and agreed upon. An experience that could have stayed pleasant turned sour with these extra charges and had they honestly communicating this before rendering the services it could have been avoided and I would have recommended them.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. DONOTGOHEREIFYOUCANAVOIDIT. Unsanitary, terrible rude service and they will try to scam you. I stumbled upon this place and went in because there was a sign outside which said $ 23 dollar mani-pedi with backrub and foot massage. I went upstairs to where the salon was, and it was noticeably shabby. I ignored this because hey, $ 23 dollar mani-pedi, I wasn’t expecting anything much. I was greeted by a big, stern woman, who was very grumpy. She led me to the pedicure chair, which was placed on a platform. I took off my shoes and stepped on the platform. It was wet, slimy and gross. I sat down on the chair and put my feet in the water. It was COLD water. She immediately took one of my feet out of the water and placed it on a blue pad(those medical ones), not a towel. She dried my feet with it, but the material isnt made to be absorbant. She proceded to very painfully gouge at my toes and dig under my nails. She asked me if I wanted the dead skin removed, and it would be $ 5 dollars extra. I agreed, since it was a $ 23 mani-pedi. She took a shaver thing and scraped my feet a few times. The entire pedicure took 10 minutes total. Something came up and I had to leave, so I told the woman that I did not want the manicure. She consented but was very rude and reluctant. Because there was only one toe dryer in the whole place(say what?!?) I had to wait 15 more minutes before it became available for me to use. When I finally went to pay, she tried to charge me $ 37. I told her that it was a 23 dollar mani pedi, why the hell would I pay $ 37 for a 10 minute pedicure? She told me very angrily that the $ 23 dollars was only for a mani-pedi and I had to go get the manicure if I wanted to pay $ 23 dollars. BIGWTF. After much yelling back and forth, I paid her $ 23 dollars, but she claimed that because I was using a credit card, I had to pay some special«tax» and she charged $ 25 dollars on my card. This place is disgusting and despicable. ALSO: DEADFOOT-SKINSHAVINGSEVERYWHERE. INPILES. ONTHEFLOOR. ITSDISGUSTING. All the other girls who worked there seemed very pleasant, nice and hospitable, but that boss lady is atrocious.

Like the other poster said, Lucy always saves the day at this place. If I come for a manicure or Brazilian, I always ask for her(and if she isn’t available, I leave!). She is so sweet and does a great job! Very affordable for the neighborhood.
