Been a patient of Dr. Halper’s for over a decade. Smart, funny, irreverent and totally gets the job done. He has seen me in more than one emergency situation without any appointment. Can’t say enough good things about him. Highly recommended.

I was a charter patient of Dr. Halper’s first practice and stayed with him many years until he showed his true colors. I became ill and he told me to take a medication for 2 weeks and he said the illness I had would go away. Well, the illness didn’t go away after 2 weeks when I did what he said. Then he didn’t return calls when I was rightfully concerned about still being sick. So I showed up at his office upset and he chose to ridicule me in front of his staff and other patients and said «why are you so upset, you don’t have Lupus, it’s not that serious». When he first treated me for this illness, he never said to me «take this medication and probably you will be fine but if it is a resistant strain of this illness, you may need to try other medications.» He was wrong and made no apologies. He’s a horrible doctor who compensates for his poor judgment with even worse jokes. I wouldn’t trust him to walk my dog.

First time patient and am now a HUGE fan! Dr. Halper has a great bedside manner and is very thorough– he made me feel at ease and truly cares about his patients. After living in NyC for 10+ years I finally found a doctor that cares!!!
