If you want to see New York, the Statue of Liberty, the Hudson, Brooklyn. .. you get it. .. from the water, this is a great way to go. At the risk of oversimplifying, Sean is a very nice guy with a cool, 31′ cruising sailboat who takes you around the harbor under the graceful yet powerful force of the wind. He’s a great conversationalist in addition to being a Coast-​guard licensed commercial captain. From the time my wife and I boarded, it was like sailing with a good friend. It’s was the best non-​touristy touristic thing we did while in New York City — our best memory by far. Thank you, Captain Sean!
P. S. The boat has a commode, so no worries there, mate.

If you’re looking for a fun way to spend the day with friends, definitely check out Harbor Sail! We sailed with Capt. Sean on a Saturday afternoon and saw the best views of downtown Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. He even let me steer the boat at one point! It can get windy out there so make sure to bring a light jacket/​sweater.

This sailboat tour around New York Harbor was spectacular! It’s so amazing to see NYC from the water, on a peaceful sailboat ride. I would recommend Harbor Sail NYC in a heartbeat to anyone looking to for a fun summer activity… I think this is a great activity for families, couples or groups of friends regardless if you are tourists just visiting, or from the area. I will certainly be going on another sail with friends as soon as possible! Thank you to Captain Sean for the awesome sail.
