Arrives cold. Not a degree of warmth inside the box. Toppings not even what I ordered. For an «italian» family restaurant, Id expect better.

Based on my first and only visit so far, I had a couple problems, though the wait staff was nice. The breaded meat served with pasta was super extremely dry. I don’t expect juicy when it’s breaded, but this was far too dry. Darn. The cola they served me from the fountain tasted exactly like Coke Zero. Clearly not regular Cola. Ended up with ginger ale. Hopefully there will be a better result next time.

First time in Italian restaurant in the big apple(even thought I have been here hundreds of times) but Harry’s happened to be right at the Conrad hotel where I’m staying so it was convenient to try them, let me start with the marinara sauce which tastes like the one my mom use to make me, fresh ingredients and freshness. The grilled chicken was tasty but the roasted vegetables tasted amazing with this Limey taste to them, I could had stopped eating after my house salad that was big, feeling and refreshing.

Not sure how this place get’s 3 ½ average stars. It’s like a bad Italian place from Little Italy but with worse service. The Good — There wasn’t really any The Not so Good — Seafood Pasta: Ordered it with just a little spicy. It came and was so spicy that it was hard to eat. And they use Tabasco sauce for the heat. What kind of Italian restaurant uses Tabasco for the primary seasoning. We asked to have it redone. It took so long for them to redo it we told them to skip it. They insisted not. The second time the pasta was all over cooked and no heat at all. No one — waiter or manager — came over to ask how it was. And it wasn’t because the manager was busy. He stood near us most of the night staring at his phone. — Veal dish: also spice from Tabasco which didn’t make sense. When we left the restaurant, walked past the manager who never looked up from his phone. Will never be back here.

Came with the boyfriend because we didn’t want to deal with the line at Shake Shack. Will probably just contend with the long line instead next time. We got the fried calamari appetizer, fettuccine prosciutto, and veal marsala. I felt like their menu options were very generic and simple. I get that sometimes you just want a simple, classic Italian dish, but not sure if this is the place to go for that, in terms of price and quality. The fried calamari was OK. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out as particularly tasty. The cocktail sauce it came with, however, was bad. Way too watery, and aside from being salty, did not really taste like anything. The fettuccine prosciutto, I got with white sauce. The other option was red sauce. I thought this was the best out of the three things ordered. The pasta was al dente, yum yum. The sauce was tasty, but somewhat grainy, like they didn’t mix in the flour very well. The prosciutto was OK, nothing special. I should’ve looked it up, because I was expecting the thin slices of prosciutto. My own fault. It was kind of tough to chew, not sure if that’s what thicker pieces of prosciutto is just supposed to be like. The veal marsala was OK to me, but my boyfriend liked this one most. I thought the veal was not tender at all, probably overcooked. Flavor wise, it was OK. I’m not a fan of tomato based sauces usually(hence choosing the white sauce for my pasta), so maybe that’s why I feel so meh about this dish. Not sure if you’ve noticed by now, but my experience here was very mediocre. I don’t know how else to describe it. Definitely too expensive for an OK meal. Subtotal came out to about $ 53. Not the most expensive meal ever, but I’ve had better Italian food for less. Wanted to end on a good note: the servings are big here. Would’ve been enough if we didn’t order the calamari. Ended up taking leftovers home.

Good thin, crispy pizza. You can make your own pizza. A small pizza will be around $ 20 with two toppings. A square pizza will run even more, so it can get pricey if you want more. Also nice quiet spot to grab drinks. It’s not that crowded late at night, so you can have a conversation.

Harry’s is a really great option for large parties if you’re confined within the Financial area. We had a party 18 and had superb service throughout the night. Rarely did we have to try and flag down a waiter for soda refills, but most importantly, they kept the food a’coming. I highly recommend doing one of their party packages. You get LOTS of food. For 18 people, we were served 3 large plates of arugula salad to begin, then we each served a bowl(not a tiny portion; it was actually comparable to a normal portion size), and SIX large pies(you’re able to choose a topping for the pies, which is nice). At first I thought we only had 3 pies as they took away the pizza stands after each pie was finished, but they told us we had 3 more. We were all shocked because we were pretty much stuffed at that point and ended up taking a pie and a half home. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed the arugula salad. The dressing was fruity and tangy — which was uncommon to me. Combatted the bitterness of the arugula. For a non salad eater, I had two portions. For those gluten free eaters, fear not as they do have gluten free options.

Meeting a colleague in the Financial District I came across Harry’s — a traditional high end pizza joint and a beacon on red sauce favorites. I sat at the bar and ordered a wine while I waited for my lunch mate. The bartender was uberly friendly and kept me company while I waited. My colleague arrived and we decided to stay at the bar for lunch. I got the eggplant parmigiana sandwich; the entrée version was only avail at dinner. It was served on a crispy ciabatta bread the size of my forearm. The eggplant was paper thin and fried crispy not greasy. The odd thing was there was no sauce just mozzarella and peppers. I enjoyed ½ the sandwich and took the rest home. My colleague seemed to enjoy his spaghetti and meatballs. Based on our conversation with the bartender. The pizzas are their most popular lunch item. They only serve Sicilian(square) pies during lunch. Although I’ve known my colleague since Freshman year of college he’s not into sharing food of any kind. I usually stay in that area of town so when I go back I’d give the pizza a try.

Caesar salad is good but huge. The sausage orecchiette had a ton of rabe on top. The sausage was pretty tasty but the pasta was bland and flavorless. The dish was served in a bowl and there were several cups of the liquid, whereas it would have tasted better in a heavier sauce versus watery. Service at the bar for dinner was mediocre.

Visited on a Sunday night. Was seated immediately(there’s indoor and outdoor seating). The menu offers a good range of common Italian dishes. I narrowed my choice down to the manicotti, penne vodka, and spaghetti and meatballs(though the seafood linguini looked amazing, and the party beside us ordered a pizza that also looked great). I went with the spaghetti after hearing our waiter’s suggestions. The serving sizes were pretty big. My friend and I probably could have split one plate. Neither of us were able to finish our meal, but then again, we did stuff ourselves beforehand with the focaccia and olive oil. I personally would have liked a little more sauce on my pasta, but it was still good. When heating up my leftovers the next day, I mixed in a teaspoon or so of olive oil and it tasted like new.

It’s in a great location, next to Regal cinemas and Bloomfield mall. You might jump on the wrong line, since Shake Shack is next door, but look for the lounge-like dimly lit restaurant to your left. I think Harry’s is probably good for lunch, but for dinner, it’s just okay. This is the place you go to when everywhere else good is completely full and you’re starving and your girlfriend is hangry. The food is something you can expect from your local diner, though the portions are huge. With the good options you have at the Bloomfield mall food court, why settle for just okay? Plus, I was pretty grossed out by the filthy bathrooms. Let’s just all move on…

Our party of about a dozen made a reservation a week in advance — this place isn’t exactly Per Se, so one expects that bookings will be honoured, and settings will be fairly prompt. Unfortunately, we were left waiting for an interminable amount of time while they scrambled to put something together. Food was mediocre and somewhat overpriced. Pastas were simple and slightly overcooked, while appetizers were fairly greasy. Service was spotty, though blessedly not overbearing.

A pretty longstanding fixture among the bars/restaurants on Vesey St/North End Ave. This was one of the few lunch options before the arrival of Hudson Eats, where you could avoid the exorbitant prices of Wei West and the never-ending lines at Shake Shack. My co-workers and I typically come here for after-work drinks, and while they don’t have any real happy hour specials, they do have a decent beer selection and free cheese pizza at the bar which ain’t half bad. Just make sure to hover around the bar, so that you can catch the half-hour intervals when they bring out that free pizza to the bar.(Note that it’s only available at the bar, and not at the tables in the bar area.) The bartenders also do pour pretty strong well drinks, so you’ll never be lacking in the drink department. The crowd is mostly finance bros and the occasional yuppie Battery Park family. You can usually snag one of the tables by the bar if you get there right at 5pm and put your belongings on top to secure your placement. As for the food, it’s actually pretty decent and filling. The pizza is good, but they don’t sell by the slice, so you have to find someone willing to split with you which usually isn’t a problem. I have tried the lasagna here, and it’s pretty smashing. The service can be spotty at times when it’s busy, but overall, it’s hard to pay attention when you’re enjoying a drink. Overall, a decent place for drinks if you work in the area, and a serviceable option for a casual, quick, sit-down meal. It’s pricier than most bars in Tribeca(which is saying something), but less expensive than El Vez, and more convenient than the pubs near Church Street/West Broadway.

Awesome informal Italian spot close to World Trade Center — trendy chic outside seating and Cozier trendy inside seating. Been here a few times and service has been attentive/great. Food has been great and served relatively quickly. We had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Marsala and my fave this time — bow tie pasta with shrimp and asparagus. Wonderful and third time was a charm. Great for business, friends or solo dining at lunch or mid day.

Stopped in here for dinner with the Princess before seeing Inside Out at the Regal. We elected to sit inside as I am not a fan of outside dining, always feel the passersby are staring at me eat. The décor is pretty sleek, Ive been to the one on Gold st many times and thats more rustic where this one is more Battery Park chic with all the black and candles. The service was not good, they were friendly but not on point. First off the bread came out well after our app came and since that app was Baked Clams we were left there looking at the delicious cooking liquid and nothing to sop it up with, after it had all congealed the waiter was like«did I give you bread?» I was too nice to say do you see a damn bread basket? Ok so now on to the food. For an app we had the aforementioned Baked Cams and they were quite good toasty, little bivalves. For mains I had the chicken francese which was good if a bit too buttery and eggy and couldve used a bit more lemon to cut the richness. The chicken breasts were pounded thin and were nicely tender. The Princess had the shrimp oreganatta and she was in love. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, not mushy or mealy, the topping was garlicky and delicious. It came with a nice salad, potatoes, some fried onion strings and potatoes. I think next time I may have to go with this dish as well.

Don’t be scared off by the trendy vibe and location on Goldman Sachs Row. I’ve passed by here multiple times thinking the prices were too exuberant for what it was. Trick is to come with a group and share a few pies and salads. Their crust is chewy and perfectly salted. The best toppings are prosciutto and mushroom. Square pies only! The staff is friendly but service can be slow during peak lunch hour. Comes out to about $ 15 – 20 per person for a group of 5.

Waitress here was so attentive. Prices can be a little pricy. 6 of us shared a pitcher of Sam Adams for $ 21, it provided a glass each. If you want a good deal for your money, order the large square pizza, it’s what they’re known for and it’s very filling. My friend and I shared a pie of pepperoni with 10 slices, tasty and filling. My friends’ dishes looked just as great. So everyone was satisfied. P. S. We were also surprised to have a celebrity siting at the restaurant. It was nice to know, no one bothered the celebrity while he was with family.

Came here for Sunday Brunch. I had the broccoli rabe and pepper frittata(excellent) and my husband had the Eggs in a Saddle(excellent). The Unlimited mimosas were a great addition. The servers were more than happy to refill. The pizza looks authentic Italian! We didn’t have any but we watched it being served. Crust looks super thin and all are square pies! I would have given it 5 but it is located in a high traffic area. It’s right next to shake shack. But overall, we would 100% come back.

Good Food, Great Beer selection, Fun location, Amazing service. Count me in! My friends threw a birthday party for their 2-year old over the weekend. The staff and management at Harry’s let us block off most of their outdoor seating area for the event. Let me start by saying the entire staff could not have been more friendly, helpful, and attentive. They didn’t seem to mind a bunch of rambunctious toddlers running around… complete with the mess that can entail. The food was great. The fried calamari was crispy on the outside and the squid was tender. The Caprese salad was fresh and tasty. The pizzas were fantastic. The peperoni was crispy and not the least bit oily. I would definitely recommend Harry’s for a quick, casual bite to eat or a night to watch the game at a nice bar.
