Descent place for delivery of «healthy» foods and smoothies. Usually get their metrx protein shakes with soy milk and a banana, pretty good. Their veggie burger wrap is also pretty good but not exactly sure how healthly it is. Split pea soup ais awful. Also their delivery times are very slow. Usually 1+ hours when my building is next door.

I like this kinds of thick 100%squuezed veggie juice. 0.25oz shot of wheat grass is $ 2.75 I had large beet, carrot and kale juice. It really filled my belly for the morning. It is very basic juice place but sometimes just simple basic goes longer way and better. Comoare to juice cube down the street, this is the healthy place you would choose.

Health King is appropriately named because it will have you paying a royal ransom for their smoothies and juices. I was drawn in by the 7 $ acai berry smoothie sign(the acai is organic, but unsure about the rest — probably not). When ordering, the manager(manning the register) asked«large or x-large?» so I said large, figuring that’s what it came with. Unfortunately, the«7 $ acai smoothie» wound up being a 11 $ acai smoothie without being told there was an upcharge or that this was not standard size. I felt cheated, and while the smoothie was good I wont be returning.

Basic juice bar, but with mostly fresh, non-processed & non-additive(sugar) & non-packaged products. The fresh vegetable & fruit juices are pretty good, but sometimes they seem a little limited on which fruits or vegetables they have at the time. They seem to carry a lot of the basics, like spinach, kale & cucumber, but tend to be out of other stuff — beets, carrots, red apple, etc. Overall, though, a good place with prices that are not too expensive. I prefer the Financial District location as opposed to the other two locations — Midtown East & West.

I have been going to this place three times each week for the past two months to buy smoothies and veggie burgers. The owner NEVER bother to tell me that they have a smoothie card to buy 10 get one off and so I saw the cards one day and asked him if he would give me at least three stamps and he said I had to bring the store receipts and that he could not just give me the three stamps… Really? You see me spending money at your store every week and you’re making me look for receipts? The place is VERYEXPENSIVE.

I usually come here when I don’t have time to get Jamba Juice or go to the awesome smoothie cart a few blocks away(corner of Madison or 5th maybe?). This place is fine for my veggie/fruit smoothies, but I’ve experienced the same thing as one of the other reviewers when no ice was blended into my smoothie. I’m not sure if the woman just forgets or does it intentionally, but it’s strange. They have a selection of health snacks and supplements, as well as a small salad/wrap station. In general I think this place is way overpriced.

Love their smoothies! Recently tried a chicken wrap at this location. It was good and healthy, but a little bland. Service was nice and the person preparing my wrap was very professional and took a lot of effort to make the wrap. They have a great amount of healthy options to choose from!

This spot has a great selection of smoothies, both with veggies and fruits as any«smoothie» joint has. Located in Midtown East, it is very quick and convenient to pop in and out if you are looking for a healthy kick at any point of the day. There is a nice assortment of protein powders and bars to also get you through the day as needed. A bit on the pricier side for what you get, but the quality of the ingredients seemed to be above average and the cleanliness of the place was good.

I asked for Myoplex chocolate protein shake with skim milk, bananas, peanut butter & strawberries. But guess what wasn’t in it? Ice. Yes. How do you make a protein shake(WITHMILK) and don’t put ice in it??? Oh it just made my $ 10 purchase taste awful. I make better shakes than this place.

Really pricey for the health items. I usually get the protein shakes. A lot if options in what kind of protein you can pick from. Would recommend the peanut butter protein shake. Probably will try the dark fresh leafy vegetables

It was a juice kind of day and found this on Foursquare/Yelp and decided to try it out(not too big on the Jamba Juice fad). It’s a mom and pop type of place and people are very nice and friendly. Its pricey($ 8 for a medium or large. I forget.), but look at what you’re supporting: local, small businesses, friendly people, nice service, fresh produce, and your health. I would definitely come back here because it’s a fantastic place.

The staff is very friendly and always a pleasure. I’ve noticed they also have beautiful, youthful skin — maybe it’s b/c they juice a lot?! Anyhow, I agree with others who have posted about the prices– they are too high. On the menu, it looks like all prices are marked through as if they were recently raised. I just started going here a couple of months ago, so I’m not sure what the old prices were like but they are certainly high now. I come in on weekdays in the morning or over lunch and the staff is always very quick and efficient– even if several people are waiting. The suggested combinations on the menu for veg or fruit juices are great but the staff will gladly let you make your own combos. I mostly order vegetable juices and often add a shot of something like bee pollen or spriulina(for only $ 1 extra– a common fee for juice places.) I would probably come here everyday and sometimes twice a day if they standard prices were lower. Instead, I split my juicing fixes between here and another nearby juice spot. They have a large selection of healthy snacks, supplements, and pre-made drinks(like coconut water). I haven’t tried the food but they do have a full service hot food counter that looks promising.

The Unilocal coupon is a pretty good deal. A friend and I split the smoothies and $ 4.60 for a jumbo smoothie is fine by me. I’d never ever pay the full price for it though. It wasn’t THAT spectacular. But, I wasn’t disappointed by my bluberry/peach w/nonfat frozen yogurt smoothie when I was paying a discounted price.

Yes, it’s pricey, but they have ALL the dark leafy greens I want(Kale, Spinach, etc) and a wide variety of veggies to make my all-greens juice. Since they do juicing and smoothie-making almost exclusively, all day long, they are real pros at whizzing it up in a hurry. There are other places in the area to get juice made, but the prices seem fairly similar. For the price though, it would be nice if they used organic produce. They do also have a variety of health food items and a great selection of energy bars(at a premium price). Pretty good if you need to grab a quick snack. Don’t expect the most friendly service here. The people behind the counter can be a bit matter of fact, and there is one hair-netted gal in particular who is a downright frowny face. I got her to smile the other day, though. ;-) You CAN get green juice at two other places around: Digg Inn on E 52nd street(formerly known as The Pump), and Earth Health Bar in the Citicorp Atrium across the street. However, it’s a little bit more of a hassle to get the green juice freshly made on the spot at Digg Inn, as they prefer to bottle it and sell it the same day(which isn’t as good — juice loses enzymes if you don’t drink it right after it’s made), and the staff over at Digg doesn’t seem as knowledgeable about operating the juicer because they aren’t doing it all day long like they do here. Earth Health Bar does more competent juicing, but when I tried it there last they said they didn’t have Kale, which to me, is a must. I will try them again for a more proper assesment, because they have horseradish, and do a bloody-mary-like combo with tomato in it(called the V-12), which I’d like to try to get them to add Kale and Spinach to. But for the time being, Health King is the spot.

In search of some froyo, I came here, but it was pretty icy. I noted the ton of variety of smoothies and juices, but it all seemed pretty pricey, slightly above Jamba Juice prices. Overall, the place seemed pretty dead and sad.

While a bit on the pricey side, it’s a great place. Good, fresh foods and a great selection of energy bars. Smoothies and fresh squeezed veggie juices are fantastic.

This is the real deal. And the owner(I think he’s Syrian?) from Brooklyn is a really great guy. He even let me use the bathroom when would stop here for my daily morning juices during nearly the entire 3rd trimester of my pregnancy in 2004. He employs some very nice Russian gals who make the smoothies and cut the wheatgrass. Plus they have healthy lunch choices, protein drinks, energy drinks and prepared food(limited.) The also sell healthy snacks like trail mix, nuts and bars. TONS of types of energy, low carb, diet, bars etc. I miss it here!
