Yes a great and full selection but the service is just not there… I ve been here tens of times and my sale representative still doesn’t know me… I wear the biggest nose ring ever seen of an Hermes client paired with Hermes, you can t miss me. Anyway… Just go downtown, here are nicer and like their job a bit netter as it s less of a factory feeling.

I can only say wonderful things about Hermes on Madison. It doesn’t get any better than this store. Hermes carries products for all aspects of your life and it is very difficult to go in to this store without falling in love with something else. From the amazing silk scarves that each have their own story and come in many different colorways, to the leather goods that are of the highest quality, the fine jewelry that completes an outfit and the decorative goods to give some style to your home… There is always something to fall in love with at Hermes. It is a store of beautiful treasures. Once you buy Hermes, other brands begin to pale in comparison. Customer service is amazing. Of course it will be more crowded during busier times and you might have to wait. That is the case in every store. My sales associate is nothing short of amazing and the other sales associates I have met while in the store have been friendly and welcoming. I can always count on my SA to help me find the perfect items for my personal style and lifestyle. Management is fantastic as well. Everyone is professional and classy and it is a pleasure to shop in this boutique. I wish every high end boutique had as good service as Hermes at Madison.

I had purchased a Special Edition Hermes Apple Watch. My wife wore this watch twice and the band had darkened as if she had this watch for years. After taking it to the Madison store they sent it out to the Paris and Paris refused to give me a new Apple Hermes Watch band and instead wanted to charge my wife and I over $ 400 for a new band. Let’s not talk about how much the watched cost me in the first place. The store did take the time out to explain to me that this particular leather band does darken and is very sensitive to moisture and make up. I would like to send a special thank you to the representative name Jessica Camelo for taking the extra step and attempting to make my point to Paris, even though Paris had failed to step up and do the right thing. I would also like to thank Jessica Camelo for taking another extra step and bringing this to the attention to her Director whom I do not know by name. This is what customer service is about. It’s not just about about making a sale and forgetting all about your customer(s) by leaving them hanging out to dry with no other options to turn to when things go wrong with a product. GO Team Hermes of Paris in Madison NY! I was told that I my wife will be getting her new replacement Hermes Apple Watch Strap by Tuesday at no cost! USA all the way!!!

Customer Service is worse than K-Mart. I have bought expensive jewelry over the years at expensive places such as Tiffany’s and Cartier. I’m used to getting good customer service from high quality institutions. I bought a bracelet at Hermes for my wife, knowing that my wife would likely want to exchange it for something different. The sales person knew this and said my wife could always change it… sounds normal. But then when we returned, they black & white stand by a 30-day exchange only policy… how ridiculous! I was planning on purchasing something for my sister and my wife was thinking about buying some more expensive items… but the Hermes return policy is so ridiculous we refused to spend another $ 1 concerned about their policies. It’s 2016 and customer service matters. Grow up Hermes!

I am discussed with these high end store thinking that the SA have the right to treat Lux buying customer like dog’s as one puts it! Don’t they work on commission? I too had a bad experience my self in another store. so I just buy on line . Shame on you Hermes… Why doesn’t someone from Hermes head office read up on the poor reviews the SA’s are getting and change their policy and change their staff.

I mean… its an Hermes store in Manhattan. You sort of have to know what you are getting in to when you go there(particularly if you go during a busy time). The basic problem with Hermes stores is that there are so many people spending $ 20K in one fell swoop that if you go in to buy something for $ 500, its like you don’t exist. Not really blaming the sales people – this makes sense. But if $ 500 is a lot of money to you and this is a big purchase, this factor can really destroy the specialness of your experience.

Worst Hermes store ever! I have shopped at Hermes stores as far as St baths and this is the worst one. Being in NYC you would think it Would be the best. I was out of all my bathroom products and asked the girl some questions she acted like I was bothering her and she walked off another lady came in and checked for us if they had product available which the other girl did not. This employee was lazy and dismissive. I ended up taking a cab down to Financial district just to go to another Hermes store were i got all my products and spent a little more than I would have. Stay away from Madison store unless you want to be ignored and feel insignificant.

I’ve shopped at Hermes Madison Avenue on a number of occasions. I’ve bought 2 blankets, a watch, a bracelet, men’s cufflinks and numerous other items. I went in this morning to purchase a Pagode leather bracelet for my wife. I was dressed in denim jeans and jacket and I had to assume that was the reason I was ignored for 10 minutes. Although the woman(Linda) who was on first name basis with saleswoman was dressed in bad workout clothes and received queenly treatment. Other sales persons came and went from the counter, making sure to greet Linda, while not even asking if I needed assistance. I never even received a «good morning, someone will be right with you.» Customer Linda then mentioned to saleswoman that I should get used to how these stores operate. What a complete joke for customer service. After 10 minutes another clerk arrived to tell me that the item I needed was not available in that store. I said to Her, «so I’ve just waited here for 10 minutes with not even a hello from anyone for you to tell me that.» Left store and don’t know if I will ever go back. Sales staff really needs an education in politeness. Especially the woman working the leather bracelet counter at noon on Monday 12⁄14. Wound up buying item on line because its what my wife wants. Hermes in store sales process is not friendly and rude at best.

this place is horrible. i have called them twice to inquire about whether or not they had a particular scarf in stock. the first time the lady put me on a phone that rang and rang. finally, i was so desperate that i called again and this time some clerk picked up and when i gave him the product number and color the phone went busy. these people are rude and stupid. the website is not navigable by ordinary humans.

I was treated horribly here, while there were at least 4 employees doing nothing in the store, they rudely told me to «wait» in the center like a dog, until someone was free to help me. Apparently, the employees who were just standing around staring at me but ignoring me were not able to help customers. I call that BS as I saw one of these employees help a man right in front of me. Disgusting. I waited until I couldn’t anymore(I didn’t have much time to waste) and demanded service. Finally to be appointed one someone who made me feel like she was going out of her way to show me a bracelet. I mean, isn’t that your job as a sales person? Due to the fact I needed this gift that evening, I did not have time to go to another location or buy online or frankly to go anywhere else and I had no choice but to purchase a bracelet here. From the condescending service, you would never realize you were in a luxury store. Shame on you Hermes.

I have bought scarves from this location. Prepared to be ignored when you walk in unless you have a Birkin. I came dressed in my scarf to prevent this from happening, but that didn’t seem to work. I was still ignored. The first time I bought my scarf here I was ignored and the salesperson could not wait to stop helping me and jumping over to another woman who walked in with a Birkin. So I found Linda to help me, who patiently showed me scarves and didn’t blink when she found out it was my first. The second time around I was ignored again and had to wait a long time for assistance. Looks like this store prides itself on ignoring customers. Is this what Hermes does to make itself feel better than it’s customers? I was wearing an Hermes scarf but nobody cared. So I walked over to the security guy with a question, he had no idea and seemed like he didn’t want to be there. I ask another guy at the counter, it was a very simple question that required a Yes or No answer. He responded«you need to wait I am in the middle of something». No politeness nothing. So I walked over to another counter and asked a lady who helped me last time, since I was taking no chances with a new salesperson who would lose patience if I took my time in choosing a scarf. I went back to Linda and bought another scarf. Linda is good as a saleslady, but somehow she doesn’t show all the scarves in the season, possibly thinking I won’t like them? She patiently showed me all the colors and styles. I walked in for my third scarf and was standing around when a saleslady actually offered help! I asked where is Linda? Linda was out. So I went back and decided to return only when Linda is around. I am just not sure if all SA would have the patience to show me as many scarves and colors. And I don’t want to risk it given how their attitude is in this store. You always have to wait for a very long time to get assistance. The counter is always packed. And the SA will always run to assist another customer who will either buy sooner or has a Birkin. Hermes tries to make itself exclusive and has gone through such pains to do so, their customer service should reflect the«elitism». Instead of looking down on customers they should make them feel welcome. Luxury brands in the past used to make customers feel welcome. As brands have gone mainstream and prices increased, luxury brand customer service has gone in the opposite direction. What a shame. No wonder it is so easy for newer brands to take over.

Despite all the awful reviews we had a reasonably good experience when we came in to make a quick purchase. Despite the store being mobbed we had an associate help is quickly in picking out a Clic Clac. She pulled several from the case, allowed them to be tried on to make a comparison and then quickly rang up our purchase. We were in and out in less the 10 minutes and did not have any issues.

2 fabulous bracelets and excellent service, I am a happy girl! I was mortified and ready to go after I read all the dreadful reviews but everyone there was friendly and helpful and we truly spend 30 minutes picking colors for a bracelet that a very small purchase for them. I felt comfortable, welcomed and appreciated for my purchase. Definitely will go back.

Horrible service! I’ve always been a fan of Hermes and purchase items for others and for myself through their website. I came to this location to purchase a couple of gifts for my wife and was ignored the whole time. When I finally walked up to the enamel bracelets, a staff member ran up to me and handled the bracelet as if she thought I was going to steal it. When I spoke to her about gift ideas, she basically brushed me off and told me she couldn’t help me unless I knew what I was looking for so I just left.

If you need to purchase anything on the first floor of Hermes make sure you ask for Andreea. This petite charming gal is a powerhouse and approachable. If I were buying corporate gifts this season I would call her ASAP. Too bad Hermes can’t duplicate her grace and service in all of their Madison Avenue employees.
