Small boutique with unique heavily zippered bags with around 6 styles from smaller to tote size. New colors with each season. Very practical yet still stylish and affordable. Really great and nice service.

I was so happy to be visiting New York. I made a special trip to HighWay to buy a new bag. It was a difficult decision. I had at least three bags I fell in love with. The design of the bag is like none other, and I have purchased lots of handbags! I am able to keep cash in the large front zippered part, my go-​to credit card in the front credit card compartments and my car key in another front zippered compartment that is just the right size. My reading glasses go in the back compartment. Everything else fits beautifully inside. The perfect bag!

I love these bags. I buy a new one every time I am in New York and am always sorry to retire my last one.

I love these bags! Saw one in a shop and lived the color. However, I always carried a large shoulder bag. Asked the clerk if I could test it, which I did. Everything from the big bag fit perfectly in the small multi pocket. I now have 7 and they’re all I use. Well made, multi functional, and great colors.

I bought my first Highway bag for travel. I now use a Highway bag everyday. I love that everything is organized and easy to find. I own four bags and have bought the bags for gifts. Once you own a highway bag, you will be totally spoiled!

With the arrival of spring, it was time for me to change bags. I reached into my closet and pulled down my Highway collection. I own at least a dozen bags, each one as beautiful and useful as the next. I purchased my first Highway bag more than five years ago and it looks brand new. I love the line – it’s the perfect bag – stylish and functional!

I have 4 Highway bags, from the large multi-​pocket to the mini one that I use in the evening. They are well made with great contrasting zippers and cute leather pulls. I use my medium size every day in NY as it is lightweight and stylish. I’m already planning on getting another one in a spring color.

I would give my multi-​pocketed Highway bag 5 stars for design. Its pockets are all in the right places and it looks good! A handful of strangers on the street or train have asked me what kind of bag it is/​where I got it. The reason I’m giving it less stars is that 1.) it’s not waterproof – the items inside the purse get drenched in a downpour, and 2.) the zipper pulls have started falling off after less than a year. Those two things are disappointing considering the price tag.

I bought a bag for my mother from Highway since she loves functional bags with lots of zippers. It’s been over a year and she uses this bag religiously. So, for her recent birthday, I bought her another bag slightly bigger in size and a bit more formal. She loves that one as well. I also bought her the $ 20 parachute tote bags as an extra and she uses it daily along with her formal bag.
Now, it’s time to treat myself so I plan on finally getting a bag for myself here. Looking forward to going on Saturday! Yay!

Being from «flyover country», carrying a bag from Highway gets noticed a LOT in the Midwest. I LOVE their bags… I will not carry another again. They are utilitarian but stylish and can take a beating.
I made the mistake of putting a full can of soda in the pocket… the can was punctured by my keys and leaked ALL over the bag. This bag is WATERTIGHT. I didn’t notice it until I reached for my wallet and put my hand in a puddle of sugary sticky soda. Horrified, I rescued the contents of my bag and hung the bag up to drain and dry. Defeated, I carried all of my purse junk in a reusable shopping bag for two weeks before I attempted to clean the purse myself. I filled my kitchen sink basin with lukewarm water and a little dish soap. I soaked the bag for about 10 minutes and rinsed it out. After praying to the accessories gods, I hung it up to dry. Despite being a little wrinkled, the bag looks BRAND NEW. No sticky and no stains!
I only wish these bags were sold online… but maybe it’s good that they aren’t for my wallet’s sake!

Talk about self-​discipline!!!
So as I’ve noted in my very recent NY reviews, I was really trying to be good and not shop like I had a day to live on this past trip. This quest was certainly tested after entering this little shop on Sunday. Can we just talk about the amount of cute bags they have here! Good Christ! And for a girl with a major addiction to things with cute straps and odd shapes, this was the ultimate test of torture.
In this store I found a grey bag with patent leather burgundy (burgundy, my favorite color!!!) straps and quirky little pocket designs that was so lightweight and gorgeous and unique and different that I really had to be strong to avoid throwing down the plastic and making that $ 120 bitch mine. Yeah, that’s right, I called that bag my bitch!
Wait, what?
Anyhoo, please, fine readers of New York and beyond, go in this store and buy that bag for me and rock it with pride. It is your mission and you will be thanking me for it, because yes, it is THAT cute!

They specialize in lightweight nylon bags. The nylon has the strength, but is an extremely lightweight material. I bought a red tote bag that has more zippered compartments than I have ever seen on a bag, each pocket useful… now if I can only remember what the hell I put in each one?

I love the bags at this store. The designer has a really nice eye for shape and detail. I bought my computer bag there at 50% off retail.
Really worth a look if you want something that is individualistic, hip, yet not flashy.

This is just one of many little stores in the northern part of Little Italy, I will never call it NOLITA. The bags are simple and cool. The prices aren’t exactly cheap but the bags are far less expensive than in many of the other bag stores that are all over the city.
If you are looking for a new bag take a look at their site and there’s a chance your feet will take you out the door to buy one of theirs.
