Honeymoon in Vegas

We loved this show. It was well played by all cast. We laughed so hard it hurt.
Would definitely recommend.

The show was okay, but do not buy anything from their bar.
I asked for a couple of white wines and they poured 3 ounces of cheap Chardonnay into a 16 ounce souvenir cup and served it to me with a straw. I was okay with it being overpriced at $ 11, but 3 ounces is ridiculous.

I had zero interest in this until I saw a rave in the Times and that half price tickets were easy to get.
I was stunned by how clever the show and music were. Great light theater.

Very Funny. Frankly if you take the music, lyrics, staging, performances, separately it would just be a silly show. When you put it all together as they have, it is surprisingly special at every turn. Rob McClure is another Martin Short as Jack. He takes lines and lyrics and creates memorable comic moments from the opening number to its conclusion. This could be a sleeper hit if the word gets out.

show had a great story and a passionate performance. So many clever staging and set changes to depict a shoe factory
The omly challenge is the size of the seats and leg room especially if you have to have a heavy winter coat in your lap.

Was a last minute date night. Great seats. Show was fun, funny in spots, and very light hearted. But overall I would just say it was ok. Was. Ice to see Tony Danza do so well.

Best Musical Comedy I have ever seen in recent times.

Overall the show was pretty good. There were a a few hilarious points (mainly with the mother of the main character). Definitely not a life changing show or anything. I can’t complain though because I got 32 $ rush tickets and sat in the orchestra.

Of course the one night we get tickets to see Honeymoon in Vegas the lead is not there. The understudy was very good but we missed Rob McClure. We were looking forward to seeing a fellow Northern New Jerseyan! Tony Danza played his role very well. The flying Elvises were the show stopper! Too bad it was near the end of the show. The character of the mother was a riot. Fun show! It’s good to see a new musical on Broadway!

Such a fun funny enjoyable show. It wasn’t our first pick but I’m very glad it’s what we ended up seeing.

Rob McClure is just great. His facial expressions are perfect for the role. Tony Danza is beyond cool. The busty harp player is worth the price of admission. Her costume is so inventive. The show is funny and enjoyable. Everyone in the audience seemed to love it. Go and support Broadway. Rob McClure deserves a Tony award.

Typically, I would not have picked this one but friends were in town and took me to this one as they wanted to see something funny, light & entertaining. Which is exactly what this show is.

Tony Danza was good and the rest of the case played their roles well too.

Bravo… Outstanding… A must see… The play is based on a couple who the BF has a phobia of getting married due to a supposedly last request from his Mother on her death bed (its actually funnier than it sounds)
The different scenes and dancing along with the arrangements were absolutely entertaining. The main actor Jack who is the BF has this Ben Stiller thing about him. He’s destined for bigger things.
Tony Danza makes an appearance and I must say he is slim fit and dressed sharp like a razor knife. Not to mention his singing was very good… who would have known. He does a tap dance solo at one point that had the crowd going… Again who would have know. He sort of plays a Robert Redford character from the movie Indecent Proposal.
The scenes with the Flying Elvises was one of my favorites. Yes «Flying Elvises» …Nicholas Cage comes to mind. Either way this place is up and shooting for the stars… get your tickets before its to late…

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! Not a huge fan of musicals etc and if I’m being honest I get bored during them, this was sooooo much fun. Would go see it again today given the opportunity.

What a delightful show!
I’d read some mixed reviews from people who had seen it in previews, so I had low expectations. Maybe that’s why I was so enchanted by this fluffy, funny Broadway trifle.
Nobody could confuse this with SERIOUS THEATER but if you want to spend two and a half hours laughing and enjoying yourself, don’t dismiss this show.
The cast was really great. Obviously, Tony Danza gets top billing and he’s very suave and charming as the sleazy casino owner. His singing is not bad. He’s not a belter but he delivers with nuance. And his tap dancing solo, while probably not the most challenging dance you’ve ever seen, is full of charm.
The leads are very nice, if someone vanilla. The supporting cast was amazing! The flight attendants have a great number, and Matthew Saldivar as «Johnny Sandwich» was perfect. «Mom» is wonderful. The highlight for me, however, was David Josefsberg as «Buddy Rocky». He is the ultimate Vegas lounge lizard.
The story is goofy but it moves along quickly and even at two and a half hours, this felt like one of the quickest shows I’ve ever seen.
The songs probably won’t win any awards but they are darn clever and a lot of fun. I liked «Out of the Sun», «Do Something» and «Airport Song» the best.
Here’s the thing, I got discounted tickets and it was definitely worth it. I’m not sure how I’d feel if I paid $ 180 for a ticket though. It’s a fun show with a lot of spunk and charm, but it’s kind of like eating cotton candy. I wouldn’t want to pay for a porterhouse when I’m getting a cheeseburger, you know what I mean?

Saw the show last night after reading the positive review on the new york times based on its off-​broadway performance last year. I was not disappointed. The show ended to a standing ovation. Everyone in theater stood up including me; I usually dont stand.
The things that stood out: its super funny — 2 hours flew by pretty quickly (I’ve never seen the movie but I plan to — just to compare). The set is amazingly diverse and clever! One of the earlier scenes takes place at Tiffany’s where Jack (who has marriage phobia as he is cursed by his mother, who 10years prior in her dying wish asks him to never marry) is about to buy his gf a wedding ring… the set turns into a flashback scene where his mother rises up from one of the display counters on her bed to relive a scene 10yrs ago. The stage completely changes for every scene — streets of nyc — vegas show room — hawaii, inside an airplane and even to a «forest of disappointed mothers» haha…
Tony Danza was great. I really didnt know what to expect as all I remember of him was from his role as a male housekeeper in the sitcom «whos the boss» like 20yrs ago. His acting I expected to be good but he also had a great singing voice. And there’s a suprise tap dance scene where the whole crowd went nuts.
Rob Mclure as Jack… superb! my gf loved his performance from start to finish. For me, he went from a cold feeted, wussy bf (mothers curse? man up and marry her! what kinda sorry excuse…) to peter parker from spider man, risking it all for his one and only mary jane.
Im suprised this show hasnt gotten more attention. Definitely read the reviews online and check it out.

Yes this is the show to see. The show is very clever, songs are fun, although not award winning. Tony danza is great but even in his absence this show will be amazing. Story (based on movie) is good. It’s funny, energetic and, the show you to go to if youre looking for a great and light hearted show and you’ve already seen a Gentleman’s Guide and can’t afford Book of Mormon.

My husband and I absolutely loved this show. The cast was excellent. Tony Danza was brilliant. We have enjoyed the movie so much and we were apprehensive that the musical would not do the story justice. Wrong… we laughed, enjoyed the music, the cast was wonderful and of course who could forget those flying Elvis’s. Very entertaining and for those guys who have their mother’s curse hanging over your heads be sure to see this musical. It will show you how to get rid of it.
Way to go Honeymoon in Vegas. I only wish I could give you more stars.
