Ok~ I bought this deal on GroupOn; 5 classes for $ 32~ I wanted to learn hip hop dance and I did a lot of research, looked up their youtube and everything.
In the end result, I attended the 7−8pm class (today) for hip hop basics and the class was great! Kristian taught the class, he’s a nice young fellow and all smiles. I was definitely comfortable with the pace of the choreography, I was a bit shy and intimidated, but everyone was friendly and definitely open minded.
Yes, I had such a good time, that I wanted to post when I got home!
Definitely will be back here again! [^^]

I spent an hour and a half observing street jazz dance instruction at House of Movement last week. I was expecting the class to be intimidating and the instructor to be, well, like a drill sergeant. To my surprise, Josh, the advanced hip-​hop and street jazz instructor was very kind and made sure that everyone in the class felt comfortable. He started with a warm-​up routine which is a plus and then proceeded to break down each routine move in succession. He made sure that your movements are right and then put some groove into the dance. Observing from the sideline, I found myself mentally dancing along with him and the class. Lol. If it can be this much fun watching, can you imagine what it would be like in class?
The atmosphere and the entire staff are wonderful. There is a great range of dance classes offered as well as different levels — including beginners. Yay! The studio is clean and conveniently located. The instructors are patient and open to answer any dance questions. House of Movement is highly recommended in my book.
