After a few years of staying away due to increasingly tasteless food, I returned yesterday to try again, with a simple Chinese lunch, hoping for good food! — Would love to come regularly since it is very convenien — just across the street from my apartment… But… Wonton soup — very slight flavor. Waiter never removed the emptied soup dish from the table. Chicken w. broccoli — slight flavor. Broccoli nice and hot(temperature). Sliced chicken only room temp. and had very odd texture. sort of slippery. Like no chicken I have ever eaten anywhere. I have the feeling that it might not have been chicken at all, but the white meat of another animal instead. The thought is very disturbing. Fried rice — okay Egg roll — okay Hot tea — good but teapot contained only enough tea for 3 small cups I tried repeatedly but unsuccessfully. to get waiter’s attention for refill and to have him remove the soup bowl from the table — but without success. Waiter seemed to be in a world of his own. Only 3 or 4 tables(out of about 16 tables) were occupied at the time, but waiter appeared to have no idea what to do other than to take the order, then deliver the food, then bring the check all of which he did well. I will try again in a few years. In the meantime, there are Chinese restaurants with tasty food and good service within a few blocks of this very convenient one that are much more satisfying.

I love this place! I have ordered from here a dozen times and they are always consistent. I have tried the Thai Chicken Basil(my fav!), Sesame chicken, Hot and sour chicken, and General tso’s chicken. All of the items have been wonderful! Large portions and the delivery is always super fast. I have picked up my order a few times and it is a little scary but has not stopped me from ordering. Highly recommend!

I’ve only ordered delivery from Hunan, but I’ve done it probably 20 – 30 times. They don’t always bring you silverware/chopsticks so be sure to include it in your note if you want it. They deliver super fast and usually include an extra thing(fruit or sometimes cold noodles) in your order. I almost always get the pork fried dumplings. I love the round dumplings(as opposed to the kind of crescent, half moon shaped ones) and these are my favorite ones in town. They give you six hot dumplings that are amazing and very filling. I don’t like the egg drop and the miso soup. I wouldn’t recommend the pad thai. The beef & broccoli is solid, as well as the diced chicken szechuan style, which is really spicy but delicious. Their ham fried rice is pretty middling, and their prices are very reasonable. My friends like the sushi, I think it’s okay. I think their best menu items are their more chinese dishes. Really solid eat, but I wouldn’t go to the actual location, which looks sketchy.

I don’t know why this place gets such mixed reviews here and on seamless. I live in the neighborhood and this has been my go-to Chinese place for years now. They seem to show up at my door about as soon as I hang up the phone. Their food is tasty, clean and never greasy. They often throw in a free soda or piece of fruit with my order. If they didn’t constantly forget to pack Chop-Sticks with my order(I always ask!), I might be giving them 5 stars now!

Mediocre describes it. Pad Thai was bland. I only ate a few bites. Oh well $ 10. I agree that this place looks dirty. The carpet looks like it’s been here since 1989. The lighting is awful. A really cool place for someone to take over. Much potential. A shame there isn’t someone doing a makeover on this place as it could be a lovely high end boutique Chinoiserie. I just made that up… This neighborhood needs it! I hope they fold and someone with heart and style and gourmet genius takes over. Let’s start praying now! Bleh.

I don’t know about anyone else, but my first experience deserves an A. I might add that I’m super picky about two things: Mexican food, and Chinese food. Coming from Cali, I have had only the best. Well, what a pleasant surprise! I decided to order this on a whim, while at work. I wanted Pad Thai, and looked up random places on seamless. Hunan Park came up, and as I scrolled through the menu, my baby blue eyes light up like stars! I ended up with wonton soup(2 bucks) and Pad Siew. Not only did it come within 20 mins of ordering(was expecting an hour), the delivery man gave me a heavy filled bag, and a free coke! The total for everything was 12 bucks. I noticed the soup was a little more yellow than what I was used to, told my coworker, she said it would be good. She wasn’t wrong. I wolfed down the soup like I have never had food in my life. It was so good that I burned my tongue, but it didn’t stop me. I’m just proud that I didn’t try to eat the plastic container that it came in. Next, I opened the Pad Siew, and because I was no longer starving, I had a few bites and it was fresh, tasty, it was everything that dreams are made of. I even text a picture to my old co-worker in California to say that we have competition. I woke up yesterday, and re-heated half of it, and it was like I had just ordered it. I still have a remaining half to consume. It’s pretty much been the best week ever. I can’t wait for Tuesday, because I’m ordering again.

Mediocre food, at best. The best thing about it is the convenience. Delivery is quick but items are almost always missing. When they promise to come back with the missing items, they simple don’t.

Fellow Upper West Siders. Beware This place is a disgrace. Double the estimated delivery time, rude order takers who are sarcastic and bark at you when you call to ask where you order is(half hour later than estimated at 8pm at night, not dinner rush hour), cold food upon delivery and a $ 2.50 salad that had 4 pieces of brown wilted lettuce. Only. Ten Ingredient Lo Mein was one piece of shrimp, two undercooked strips of roast pork and a flat piece of chicken that looked like it was picked up from the trash. We threw the order out. When we called to ask for a real salad(before we realized the food was so old and bad), they udely cut us off and said that is «their salad.» So many great Chinese fast take out places with great staff and delivery on UWS like New Asia and New Kam Lai that go out of their way to get you authentic, hot, great food, really fast. Don’t risk it. And please don’t give these rude arrogant owners and staff your business.

So mad I decided to have this for dinner. 32 dollars of soggy tso chicken. We intentionally ordered pickup to try and avoid the sogginess but it didn’t help. The guy in the front has an attitude problem. Asking for utensils was like a problem. He still didn’t give us napkins. Never again!

I have been coming here for at least 15 years and it was sad when the service and quality went downhill. I am glad to report that the rude waitress that would argue with customers and the not so good sushi chef are gone. The quality and service were both good my last two visits. I had the All You Can Eat(AYCE) sushi and my daughters had miso soup and a california roll. Everything was prepared well.

Went here last month and got the all you can eat sushi buffet. You can choose any rolls you’d like and they are all made right in front of you for $ 25. They also had an all you can eat/drink option which I believe was just sake and was 30 $ or 35 $. You get 90 minutes to eat all the sushi you can. I wasn’t certain how many rolls you could order at a time, but we only ordered 2 at max at a time. If you don’t finish a roll you are required to pay menu price for it.

Your run-of the mill, go-to, safe Chinese restaurant. They’ll give you the classics, how you would expect. Look at the front of their menu for their freebie deals: the more you spend, you earn a free soda, orange, or cold noodles.

This used to be one of my neighborhood favorites but yesterday my order of shrimp fried rice contained only 2 shrimps. I personally went in to tell them and they were unapologetic which means I will no longer patronize this restaurant. In this competitive world, there is never an excuse for indifference. Avoid! There are better places in the neighborhood.

I’m surprised by all the low ratings here — the food is affordable and fine, the staff was friendly, my waitress was very attentive. The restroom was in rough shape, but other than that, fine for what it is. If you’re looking for UWS upscale, this isn’t your place. But for a quick lunch, just fine.

Many bad experiences at a neighborhood Chinese place. They are sort of friendly except when there is a problem. Then they are defensive and obstructionist, and they don’t want to let the customer be satisfied. They also have a nasty approach to chicken. They cook old stiff chicken combined with fresh chicken and present it as fresh. It isn’t. I was insulted last time I was there and now I boycott and order from Ollie’s.

Picked up a lunch special today — 2nd time in a couple of weeks. The food is ok enough, but I wish they weren’t so rude both in person and on the phone from what I overheard while I was waiting on both visits.

Awful, awful, awful. Used to order from here for lunch as take-out and went in once to do a sit-down. Food was okay, depending on what you get, but not anymore. This time, their food was old and overcooked and service is god-awful. They forgot to bring miso soup(even though its a Chinese restaurant but they serve sushi too). They kept asking me more than twice if I wanted white or brown rice and I said white. But they still brought me brown rice. Décor is dirty and crappy and no wonder people don’t sit down here to eat. Where’s the health inspector when you need them? DON’T GOTHERE!

I know, I know. I gave this place a try despite pretty feeble reviews from Unilocal. But I had no choice as I was stuck in the housing waiting for furniture delivery and had to order from a quick/no frills kind of joint. Surprisingly their food was okay. It’s not mind-blowing stuff, but actually the food wasn’t terrible. The beef lo mein actually tasted okay, and the hot and sour soup and egg rolls were just fine. It actually tasted better than many other take out joints I’ve ordered from. Now that’s not saying much, but I do want to point out that the food wasn’t god awful. Honestly, if you want the truth, check out Satya Eastern Kitchen’s reviews. I live there and can honestly say the food here is better than what they serve at Satya.
