Great cookies but disappointed the delivery guy didn’t have change — basic delivery protocol!

I ordered from Insomnia cookies after one of my friends mentioned that someone from his office ordered some a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a variety of everything except for the oatmeal raisin. Not my favorite type of cookie. They arrived when promised and they were good. However, the only snickerdoodle cookie was squashed and oddly shaped. I’m not anal but they should’ve been more careful when they packed them. I had the peanut butter cookie and it was delicious. I shared them with some co-​workers and they really enjoyed them also.

Moral of the story: Do not count on them to deliver specialized orders for any special event.
Oh let me count the ways which I dislike the:
1) Never delivered — I called 30 minutes before our order which we placed 24+ hours in advance to ensure all was set for the delivery. They said it would be delivered 2.5 hours after the set delivery time. Seeing as the cookies cakes for for a staff appreciation lunch that was not an option.
2) I called a week before to check on your hours of operation and when it could be delivered by and they said all would be fine. I also called the day before to make sure the order was received and timing would work.
3) Your google, Unilocal,and other pages state you open between 9 – 10:30am yet on the day of the cancelled order you said you do not open before 11:30am.
4) We called for a refund and you said all was ok and put through. Turns out it was not. I just got off the phone to call and ask for the refund to be made seeing as it was cancelled day of.
5) The stress you created by cancelling 30 min before the lunch and us having to find an alternate place to find a dessert for 30 people that seemed well thought out.
You have lost multiple customers over this. Super disappointed in our entire experience with you.
I checked when the order was placed, the day before, and day of everyone said everything was fine and day of you can not deliver… I would recommend you highly look at this as a training opportunity and a chance to improve your company’s communication skills.

There is no chance I will ever order from Insomnia again. I ordered a birthday cookie cake to be delivered to my friend for her birthday at her office. Her office is Unilocal,you would think they would take extra care of a delivery to Unilocal.Clearly this was a gift, as this was a special happy birthday cake and there was a birthday message. The delivery man called me four times telling me there was a delivery downstairs and hung up. It took two times to get him to answer me when I said this was for a delivery at someone there and to ask reception. This process has now been over an hour and reception finally just called me and took down phone number the the girl who it is being delivered to. This literally took out an hour and a half from my workday when this should have taken 3 seconds to order and be done.

I ordered a cookie cake for a coworkers birthday and the one delivered had the wrong message on it and was squished. I emailed a picture to the customer service email and got a prompt reply giving me half of my money back, a coupon for free cookies, and a replacement cake delivered within the next two hours. Wonderful customer service experience, and the cookies taste great!

Horrible Service! I placed an order for a dozen cookies. The order came 2 cookies short. I contacted customer service who responded by sending me a code for 4 free cookies next time I order something. Really, your idea of fixing the problem is to offer me something if I pay for something else? Umm no, I responded that I wanted them to either deliver the cookies they shorted me, or refund me the cost for the 2 cookies. They said they would refund me, but a month later and still no refund on my credit card. Oh, and the offer code they sent me doesn’t work!!!
This was my first time ordering from them and I will not order again. The cookies were good, but nothing special.

Wow — I’m impressed! I was pretty disappointed when the delivery man greeted me with «I’m sorry I forgot your milk, I’ll have to go back.» To my surprise, he did… with not one bottle of milk but four! Definitely made up for the original mishap!

Solid choice for late night cookies. I’ve been a long time fan of Insomnia, and they came to the rescue when we were craving cookies at 1 AM. Their delivery boy is really friendly, even though we didn’t order for delivery. We met him outside the shop, and he brightly greeted us «Hello! How are you?!» When we entered the shop to order, the cashier said, «he always does that».

Great tasting cookies, horrible service. I only live 10 blocks away, but it often takes 2 hours to deliver the cookies. In addition, they send the delivery boys out with no change, so they end up asking me if they can take my 20 bill and «get change». That’s insane. Great cookies, horrible service.

Good warm cookies. I liked these in the following order:
1– sugar cookie
2– snickerdoodle
3– m&m’s cookie
4– chocolate chip

Deeelicious ! Love these cookies. I got the deluxe chocolate chip chunk and deluxe peanut butter cup cookies. The cookies are so soft and moist. I ate mine warmed up, and it made me melt. One of the most amazing cookies I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back and try more !

I came here for dessert cookies with two friends. Small location. I had a warm double chocolate peanut butter cookie. The first two bites were good and then I realized it was way way too sweet. The peanut butter pieces were just too much sweetness and not enough peanut butter flavor.

There are very few times that I’ll go crazy for sweetness. I consider myself a savory girl. However, anytime I’m in the city I have to run into an Insomnia before I begin my journey back to LI. Yea I’m being dramatic but these cookies though (insert heart eye emoji) yummmmm.
I believe there’s at least 10 Insomnia Cookies scattered around Manhattan. Who can come between a person and their warm cookies and milk???
The concept of late night cookies with delivery options are dope. I think they deliver to you up to about 3am. I never came and was disappointed. Yummy chocolately ooey gooey goodness that just melts in your mouth.
Don’t go too crazy though – diabetic shock might ensue. But I do like to spoil myself then drink about a half gallon of water after to make me feel better about all the calories and sugar I just consumed.
Hey, live a little. Get a couple of warm cookies at 2am if you get that craving. That white chocolate macadamia is everythingggg

I like the concept — late night cookies delivered with milk right to your doorstep.
The cookies are actually pretty good here — I love their snickerdoodle and white chocolate chip macadamia cookies. They’re served warm, gooey and soft here.

My favorite cookie will always be the Double Chocolate Mint cookie.
Having the worst day ever i thought it was a good idea to get me and my mom some cookies. Even thought it was a really hot day and she just came out the hospital, a cookie always seems to put a smile on our faces cause we are major fat asses. We love the fact that Insomnia keeps their cookies nice and warm, and it basically melts in your mouth. I haven’t tried their ice cream cookie sandwich but if they have mint ice cream i’m all for it.

Hot cookies and friendly service-​not much more you can ask for! Though I think $ 1.60 is a bit much for a small cookie, the fact that they serve it hot makes it worth it

I love that the cookies are served warm! That made my day, as a love a soft gewy cookie! I chose the chocolate peanut butter cookie. I would have liked more chocolate, there was just one piece and then the rest was peanut butter, I’d have liked a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ ratio! I will definitely go back again to try other flavours though!

Now, I will be the first one to admit: I do not have a sophisticated palate. I probably burned off my my taste buds with all my hot sauce consumption. Anyway, my friend took me to Insomnia Cookies for the first time. We did the 12 cookies for… a certain monetary amount. I completely forgot it.
My friend got 3 Chocolate Chunk and 3 Candied M&Ms cookies. I got 3 Chocolate Chunk and 3 Peanut Butter cookies. My cookies were FREAKING FANTASTIC! Wow. Those cookies were delicious. They were so warm, gooey, and delicious!
Oh my gosh! I am in love. I swear, those cookies have spoiled me. I am not sure if I can go back to store bought cookies again. Chips Ahoy, how about Chips A-​No!

Dropped by on an impromptu late-​night food run with a friend and at first we spent like 10 minutes looking for the place while staring hopelessly at Google maps. Turns out we walked right past it — it’s a hole-​in-​the-​wall right by McDonald’s on 3^rd Ave.
The smell of freshly baked diabetes wafts into your nostrils the second you open the door. The choice is death by sugar or grease, but your demise will be by both. I got a Chocolate Chunk, Deluxe S’mores and a brownie — at only $ 1.50 for a large cookie, it was hard to resist. The Deluxe (XL) cookies are $ 3 each and so are the brownies. They placed my goods in a cute little cardboard box that I would’ve recycled if not for the grease that pooled on the bottom.
Friend wasn’t very impressed when she had her cookie right after purchase, but I took mine home and microwaved them the next day and they were sooo indulgently sweet, especially the S’mores. It’s like heaven melting on your tongue that precedes an imitation of a heart attack gathering in your chest. Take one bite and you’ll probably fill the sugar quota for the month.

«This place smells SOOO good.» Said every single patron that has ever had the privilege of walking into an insomnia store. I mean if you don’t like the smell of freshly baked cookies. I don’t even know what to say to you.
The store itself is tiny but who cares, they sell freshly baked ooey gooey cookies! There are three types of cookies for purchase, the normal flavors that include the classics (chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, sugar, snickerdoodle, etc), the jumbo deluxe if you want to get fancy (chocolate peanut buttercup, smores and triple chocolate) and lastly the granddaddy of all cookies — the cookie cakes, 9 inches of deliciousness served in a pie tin that are available in the classic flavors.
Some things to note about the cookie cake, if the cookie itself doesnt satisfy you you can add toppings! (At a price of course but you knew that.) Also, these aren’t readily available so you need to preorder and it takes about an hour for them to prepare. If cookies aren’t your thing (not sure why you are at a cookie place but whatever) they also sell brownies. They got milk too — 2%, whole and chocolate. Some locations (not this one) also serve ice cream so you can get plain ice cream or create your own custom ice cream sandwiches.
I ordered the chocolate chunk cookie cake (try saying that 5 times real fast) to celebrate a birthday at the office. I figured 10 people a big ‘ol cookie we would be fine. WRONG. After a bite I was sitting there wishing I got an entire cookie cake to myself… Even after the trek in the cold back to the office, the cookie cake was still warm to the touch when we cut into it. It was slightly soft and had huge chunky chocolate bits melting away with each bite.
Some things to note: while they open at 11 am delivery does not start until 4pm but they do deliver until 3 am. If you’re looking for delivery they have a special offer right now, each order comes with THREE free chocolate chunk cookies until January 26^th. Also they take credit cards but with a $ 3 minimum.
