Being faced with the task of having a friends apartment cleaned while she was in the hospital was not an easy project. I was turned down by four cleaning companies due to the condition of the residence. The moment I spoke with Doug I knew I found the right service to assist me. Doug was caring and compassionate from the onset. He understood my situation and my requirements for a speedy cleanup. Within three days he arrived with a team that, to say did a fantastic job, would be an understatement! It is always difficult to go through someone’s home and clean it up, but Island Trauma was so considerate with the process that before long I felt as if I had asked my friends to come over and help with light cleaning. Nothing was discarded without it first being brought to my attention for approval. Even when miscellaneous credit cards and jewelry were found throughout the residence, it was brought to my attention immediately. When the residence was complete it looked like a model apartment about to be showed! I cannot praise the service that I received enough from Doug and his team. Thank you!

Island Trauma Services provided excellent, extremely professional, caring and compassionate service for my sister and I during a very difficult time. Our mother passed away in her home several weeks ago, and my sister and I were faced with cleaning things up as quickly as possible. We interviewed three different companies and decided on Island Trauma very quickly. We were so appreciative of how professional and informative Doug and Nils were when they came to look at the house, and give us an estimate. They showed up early the day of our appointment. They answered all of our questions, and provided us with information we didn’t even think of or know to ask for. We have never gone through anything like this before, and Island Trauma made it a very easy decision for us to choose them to help us. They were able to complete the remediation and cleanup in one day, where other companies told us it would take 3 – 4 days. The day of the cleanup, their crew showed up early, and got to work right away. They were all kind, compassionate and hard working. They made what was an extremely stressful situation a lot easier for us to deal with. The cleanup was completed at the exact time they promised, and everything went as we had hoped. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful job they did. I would not hesitate to use them again and I give them the highest recommendation.

The work Doug & ITS did in my Dad’s apartment helped me feel more at ease and has made my transition in this time of grief and loss very manageable. Without that remediation, I would have the burden of replaying my father’s last moments over and over visually. I am grateful for the team’s attention to detail and for their overall compassion.
