Utterly horrible. Our waitress was extremely welcoming(a star just for her!) but the food and drinks were just plain bad. The grilled cheese sandwich was a pile of crusty grease with unrecognizable Brie and underripe and extremely acidic raw mango, onion, and red pepper«chutney,» and the steak sandwich was about six inches of rock hard baguette filled with tough steak sliced with the grain and still-crunchy onions. The Manhattan was strong but lackluster — even the cherry was a mushy blob! — and the bohemian rhapsody was a weirdly bitter, acidic glass of sadness. Spend your money pretty much anywhere else!

Whatever you do please do not come to IVY for any reason whatsoever. Ivy had the nerve to ban me from being a customer because a friend of mine, who came here without me, didn’t want to pay their bill, which was completely overpriced and wrong. They claimed I vouched for this person who came her when I was not even there at the time. I’ve given this establishment 1000s of dollars since they opened, tipped very generously and was one of their most loyal customers since their inception. Their drinks are just so so, their food is very very average and their service really sucks. So much for loyalty in this world. I’m so disappointed in them.

I came here with a friend for some after work drinks and we went straight to the bar. I was happy to see that the staff all got along pretty well it felt like we were amongst friends and like we knew them from long ago. Great spot for professionals in their 30’s. Very cool vibe and atmosphere. Their cocktail menu is impressive compared to other places on 8th avenue. All of the bars and restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen are mostly on 9th and 10th avenues. We ordered a few appetizers from the menu and I am thinking they’re going to be small plates. We ordered the mac and cheese, sliders and wings. The mac and cheese was freaking delicious and the sliders were bomb! These three appetizers were enough to fee at least four people. The service was amazing and we even kicked back a few shots with our bartender after his shift was over. I will definitely come back soon.

My husband and i went for happy hour after work. We were greeted and shown to our seats. Now mind you that the waitstaff is aloof half the time, and really one waiter didnt know the drinks on the menu and what the difference of tastes of bitter to sweet, but he was kind. Half the time we had one of them down, i thinm we had 4 different wait staff lol. The food was amazing, although i didn’t care for the grilled pizza. The spicy sweet calamari was definitely tasty. The lobster tacos were interestingly good. Truffle fries were the best along with watermelon salad. The ivy martini was the perfect sweet drink. The pom white cosmo was also tasty but we preferred the ivy as we had 5 of them. All in all it was a good time, i give it a 4 star minus 1 star for aloof staff.

Great experience last Friday! Stopped in for dinner after an exhausting day in the city. Staff was quick and friendly, and the food was out of this world. Reasonable prices and the quality of food is where they shine. PROTIP You must try the Steakhouse Spring Rolls. They are MONEY. Had a burger for my entrée, was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Friends I was with all agreed their food was delish as well. Will gladly return in the future!

My co-workers and I come here for happy hour often and we are always happy with the service. I have not ordered meals from this restaurant just appetizers, glasses of wine or the occasional celebratory glass of prosecco. Pro– The service is speedy. Con — If you are not ordering food you are asked to sit at the bar — sometimes seats are not available at the bar — but that leads us to Plan B. Plan B, if seats are unavailable say yes to the table and then order some appetizers for your group. Their hummus is okay and their wings are okay too. This spot is my convenience location. There is nothing really that stands out as far as atmosphere/ambience. This is a reliable bar to grab a drink and be able to trust that it will be okay.

Really great place for casual food and drinks. Came after work with coworkers and enjoyed the happy hour specials which includes $ 5, $ 6 and $ 7 drinks until 7PM. We ordered the truffle fries which were delicious, wish they were a little bigger though. Our waitress Shelby was attentive and incredibly nice. Would definitely come back here! All the other food going past us smelt great too.

Great after work happy hour spot. Cheap drinks, good food, lots of space and up beat music. Amazing truffle fries! The wait staff is super friendly and kind.

I came here with a friend who lived a few blocks away in the Fall of 2014 and had a wonderful time but maybe it was due to HER company and the Happy Hour drinks. I went this past Friday around 3 oclock and it was pretty empty except for one couple at a table and a few folks around the bar talking to a bartender with dreads. My party of three nearly walked to the back of the place looking to be acknowledged before we were finally greeted(if you call it that) and we grabbed a table. Looking over the menu I was disappointed that my memory of the place didn’t hold up. For one, the appetizers seemed overpriced with everything being about $ 10+ except for the Hummus and Regular French Fries and none of them looked all that interesting so I went with the Vietnamese wings. My friends didn’t see anything that captured their interests so they didn’t order but I did look through the Drink menu after being told by the waitress the Happy Hour didn’t start until 4 and ordered a Rum Punch. The Waitress I think killed the whole thing along with the lack of ambiance to the place. While we were there they started playing some pop music that didn’t seem to fit in with the atmosphere and how dead everyone looked in there. My waitress seemed like she couldn’t be bothered with us and the sooner we left the better. NOPERSONALITY whatsoever and I’m a very easygoing and friendly customer. I ignored all of that along with my growling stomach until I tasted my Punch which came in a thin medium tall glass that I paid $ 12 or !3 bucks for… What a disappointment. Because it was my birthday earlier that week my friend grabbed the check and insisted on paying. I was going to give the waitress a fair tip anyway because I always do but my friend(who is a chef) said the waitress was awful so I dont know what she gave her and didnt look because my friend was not having it. I wont be going back. Happy Hour or otherwise.

Abysmal. The service isn’t what it used to be… Didn’t get a menu until I asked for it, yet everyone else at the bar was given one by the bartender without asking. Then my drink took 15 minutes to get after I had to inquire about where it was & that I had been waiting. This is on a Sunday. SUNDAY. Are you ******* kidding me? ITWASN’T EVENBUSY!!! Drink was amazing though, as I remembered. Too bad. Was going to get food, more drinks, & have my friend join me. We decided to reroute elsewhere where our time was much more valued. Used to be a regular. Won’t be returning & won’t be referring people to this place anymore either. I don’t even care if it was an off day in regards to the service. Completely unacceptable.

Great place for happy hour, drinks are wonderful. It’s a bit loud and usually crowded but the staff is very very accommodating. I came here with my friends for a light dinner and drinks, but that day it was already full. So as I said, the staff quickly made room for us. The restaurant has an open atmosphere die to its large windows and wide space. The food was also very tasty. Overall a nice place in midtown to enjoy some light food and good drinks

This will unfortunately be a short review. I was having a tough day at work and thought, ‘it’d be great to step out and have a drink.’ and so I did. I went to Ivy hoping to have a good Old Fashioned. Fortunately, they had a signature one on the menu. It read well; they use orange bitters instead of the usual stuff and club soda instead of regular water. Unfortunately, it was not very good. Issue one is that there was about 3 ounces of drink total, it was pretty sad. For $ 14, I’d like a drink that i can nurse for more than 2 minutes. Issue two was that it had an insane amount of ice. After the initial ice and some mixing, came more ice. Third issue was that he didn’t use orange bitters, it was just regular bitters. Fourth issue is just that it plain lacked balance. If I go back to Ivy, I’ll try a burger and def stick to beer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place! Upon walking in, you’re greeted with great customer service. The waiters and staff are very friendly and you know they want you to have a great experience. I went with some friends on a Friday night and we sat at one of the high tables. We ordered some drinks and some food for a late night dinner. Let me tell you, the kale and artichoke dip is to die for! They’re served with oregano, warm pita-like bread chips and there’s enough dip for 3 people! Not a drop was left haha After, we ordered the shrimp sliders, classic sliders, a pineapple coconut mojito and a Corona and we were good to go! Devoured all of that haha I would definitely come here again when I’m in the area!

The only thing I can say about Ivy: YAAASSS!!! This place is great. The service is always done with a smile and the people working there are always so nice. My girlfriend and I are in love with the chicken cutlet sandwich that they have and often pop over here for that. Ok, let me describe it to you and you’ll see why we love this so much. It’s a crispy chicken cutlet sandwich, served with chipotle mayo, cilantro, watercress, pickled red onions, sautéed jalapeños and avocado. It comes with a side of amazingly crisped and hand-cut fries that you dip in flavorful aioli. Mmmm. my mouth is watering from just thinking about it. Unfortunately we rarely are around Midtown otherwise I’d frequent this more often — especially as they have some good Happy Hour deals from 4 – 6 pm.

Just meh. Host and servers were not very helpful or accommodating. All tables were reserved for holiday gatherings, and they were of no help in securing a smaller table for us to sit and order food after a few hours went by. We asked several times, found a table on our own and ordered a few apps. The food was okay but I probably won’t be back.

Oh, I just love this place. I love it so much. The bartender was so cute and friendly! My friend and I went here 3 nights in a row… that’s how much we loved it! The drinks were potent and amazing! I didn’t eat here, so I can’t say anything about that. We did have a wonderful time, though. The music was excellent and there was just a very good vibe there. The location was excellent and the bar was very hip and inviting. I have nothing bad to say about the spot. The crowd was also very diverse and exciting. I can’t wait to go back to New York to visit this spot again.

Ivy is a very chic place to hangout after dinner with your buddies and enjoy a drink or two. It’s very hip and the staff here are very nice. They do have some really good late night bites. One I highly recommend, their«Mac N Cheese!» It was really good. They also have some great Long Island Ice Tea(my drink) as well as a their house special Martinis. The ladies I was here with really enjoyed them. They shared it had a secret recipe that made them giggle bit. Not sure what that’s about, but hey they had a great time! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

Average/Good food, ehh, on the atmosphere. The service is slow because its packed most of the time. So have some patience, because you’ll have to flag down the servers a lot! Also, expect to get hit on, a lot. Now here’s the lowdown on the food. Get: kale and artichoke dip, shrimp and beef sliders, walnut salad. And my fave the chicken bahn mi sandwich. Skip: calamari, crab cake slider, cheese board. Not a bad review, just an average place.

Amazing place for happy hour. Their $ 7 Cosmo was absolutely delicious. Also, the staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back for happy hour again and will be telling all my friends about this place.

Cute bar, great happy hour! I came here before an event at the Hudson Hotel and probably had 5 glasses of $ 5 prosecco. I got out of work early that day and arrived around 4pm, to a mostly empty bar. This must be a hot after work spot because it quickly filled up right at 5pm. Lots of good specials. Bartenders were friendly. I’ll be back next time I find myself near Columbus Circle.
