Jam Paper and Envelope

No matter how desperate you might be for something this company might sell, take my advice and resist making a purchase. Purchased one small package of gold labels. Cost $ 15.00. Not bad! Until I chose ground shipping and was charged $ 13.00. It has been three days and they haven’t even shipped yet. When I called to inquire, customer service was unprofessional and patronizing and proudly assured me they wouldn’t arrive for at least ten more days!

Terrible on so many levels.
We needed special blue invitation envelopes and their website said they were in stock. Even though they were WAY more expensive than
, we couldn’t wait, so we paid the ridiculous price.
When they arrived, half of them were orange and yellow, not blue. We called the company to complain and were told that it wasn’t their fault.
The owner repeatedly addressed female employees of our company with demeaning terms like ‘little lady’ and refused to give a refund.
SUMMARY: claimed to have products in stock but did not; sent wrong product and refuses to admit fault; refused to give refund; demeaned our employees.

I’ve shopped here for years for many school functions and spent a small fortune for the overpriced convenience And trying to keep places like this in my neighborhood. Today will be the last day. I parked out front and the meter wouldn’t take my credit card. I ran in and asked for change and was told ‘I don’t have quarters’. I explained the problem and said I was parking out front expressly for the purpose of shopping at their store. Surely they could make an exception and gives 4 quarters so I could give them my business. Sadly, I had to rely on the kindness of a stranger to actually get my quarters. You’ve lost a customer today. Hope holding on to those 4 quarters was worth it.

I really wish I could give 0 stars. First they messed up my order and poorly shipped it so my items were damaged. The first customer service rep, Ann Marie Voza, blamed UPS. I showed her pictures and explained that it didn’t look like it was UPS, but it was just poorly packed. She continued to blame UPS and talked about how they do things to cover up their mistakes. I asked to talk to someone else since that was her only concern (that they continue to use a company that she can do nothing but bash). This new message got a reply from Mike, who just questioned how I could possibly question why they use a billion dollar company for their shipping! And then he apologized for not having access to the Pony Express. So, yet again, no one took responsibility for their wrong doing. And they happen to be very quick to basically say, «Shove it. We’re never in the wrong at JAM, even if I’m saying the opposite of what the last person you talked to said.» I just need more reviews of this place to be left all over the internet so no one is confused on the quality of their business.

What a joke of a business. Mike Jacobs, some guy who works for jam, uses the letter «u» for «you» in his emails, and I find it unprofessional, has this guy been to college or graduate HS? Pretty pathetic person in my opinion. I received the wrong order, and I emailed him about it, and he offered 0% assistance. Keep my $ 22 As a donation, I will find another website.

Horrible experience with this company. I shopped online and tried to order envelopes. I needed them to arrive asap. No ability to alter the shipping. So then I emailed the company – they wrote back and said «choose two day shipping.» I emailed again, and said that was not coming up as an option. I then called and had one of the worst phone experiences ever. The guy basically refused to believe me that their site was not working. He insulted me numerous times and eventually hung up on me. I then wrote again to the «customer service» department to complain. No response. Obviously, I ended up going with another company.

Customer service is bad. Overpriced items, unreasonable shipping costs and return policies.

This review is based on going there to buy paper. The prices are high, the selection on anything that isn’t letter size paper is nearly non existent or extremely over priced. It’s more like Jam Envelopes and binders with some paper on the side. Legitimately I can only recommend going here if you want some close out /​clearance paper, otherwise go somewhere else.

Shopped online and found everything I needed through their inventory (calligraphy pens, envelopes, paper). My order arrived when expected.

7 day return policy? Are you kidding me. I’m standing here looking at the item I want to return sitting on your shelf. This was my last visit to Jam.

The most horrible customer service you will find anywhere in the world. Talk about rude, crude and highly unreasonable attitudes. Way over priced so not sure why anyone would tolerate both hi prices and horrible employees. would not recommend coming here… ever!

The paper selection is good.
The service staff are so weak. Hire competent staff.

BUYER BEWARE! 7 day «return» policy with no cash refund. Store associates have obviously been trained to find all manner of defects with an item returned in perfect condition.

I ordered envelopes from JAM Paper. They nevered arrived and the customer service staff was horrid on the phone. First, they never called me back and then they were exceedingly rude and hung up on me. I would strongly discourage anyone from ordering any item with them.

Here’s my experience with JAM paper and envelope. I realize it’s a novel, but this is what appears to be their typical MO. Plus it’s pretty incredible that it turns out in the end the obnoxious employee isn’t some rogue, disgruntled kid, but rather the owner. That’s right, the owner of the company. Here it goes.
I ordered 25 recycled portfolios on a Thursday morning. I placed the order online and provided my FedEx account number and selected 2-​day shipping. I needed the portfolios for a huge PR event on Thursday morning, so I needed them Wednesday at the latest. Just to be on the safe side, I opted for the expedited shipping. Once I placed the order, I called JAM paper and spoke to a CSR. I asked if the order would ship that day since the website indicated the were in stock. I was reassured by the CSR that they would ship Thursday and arrive Monday. I received no email confirmation of the order, but referenced my order number from the website as I called immediately after placing the order. On Monday evening once our last FedEx delivery failed to deliver my order, I called the 1 – 800 number. The following is what took place:
Me «hi, I wanted to check on the status of my order. It was scheduled to arrived today and didn’t.»
JAM Paper «What is the order number?»
Me: I didn’t receive a confirmation of the order, it’s under «Blank Advertising.»
JAM Paper «Oh, that’s shipping today, I know because I just followed up with them in California.»
Me: I contacted you guys after placing the order and was reassured it would arrived today.“
JAM: «nobody would have told you that!»
Me: Why do they have to ship out of California?
JAM: «BECAUSE THEY HAD TO BE MADE. DON’T COP AN ATTITUDE WITH ME. «
Me: I’m not copping an attitude, first of all you just told me I flat our lied. Listen, I need you to ship overnight to me and I should not have to pay for that up charge.
JAM: Well you’re not going to get them unless you pay for overnight shipping. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY SHIPMENTS GO OUT OF HERE A DAY?!?
Me: No clue, but I do know that this isn’t usually how people treat their customers. Why wouldn’t you have notified me that the item wasn’t in stock instead of assuming it was ok to ship a later date? I’m looking at the website now and it says that it is in stock. Can I get your name?
JAM: It’s Michael Jacobs, Can I get yours?
Me: It’s on the order.
Michael: Do you want me to tell them to ship overnight?
Me: Unless you’re covering the difference in shipping, I’d rather cancel the order.
Michael: YOU WANT ME TO CANCEL THE ORDER?!?
Me: Yes.
Michael: (hangs up phone)
(one minute later, my phone rings)
Michael: Do you want me to ship these overnight?
Me: Yes.
I did receive the shipment the next day and called to attempt to dispute the shipping charges. The employee was TERRIFIED. She lowered her voice and said she would ask him. When I got my answer it was in a whisper «it’s what you thought, he’s not budging.»

I hyperventilate every time I walk into this place. What is it about multi-​colored, multi-​textured envelopes that gets me every time? Little boxes, big boxes, ribbons, note cards, folders.

On second thought, don’t be still, heart! There aren’t many simple pleasures like this left !

They have a colorful assortment of papers, and a variety of gifting goods like wrapping paper, boxes, confetti, etc. It’s great for last minute jobs, but everything here is so pricey. I recommend going else where if you’re not pinched for time. It’s not worth paying these prices for standard quality papers.

I was really excited about ordering from JAM paper. I spent $ 200 as a new customer and paid $ 67 for 3 day shipping. I never received a shipping notification with tracking info, so I called to make sure I’d have my package in time, for Saturday. The Jam Paper told me I’d have it on Monday. I explained how I paid extra to have it by Saturday, etc and if I would have known it was Monday, I would have saved $ 40.
I was transferred to Ann Marie, the office manger. Ann Marie must have been having a bad day, because I barely said two words to her. She told me the facts 1) I placed my order past the cut off, 2) they normally don’t ship to individuals or do 3-​Day shipping and 3) They can’t control UPS. I asked her why I didn’t receive a shipping notification and she was extremely rude and hysterical. Ann Marie said I was trying to blame her for my mistakes and then proceeded to repeat the facts in an very aggressive tone. I was just confused about the shipping policy and why I didn’t receive any communications from Jam Paper.
I would just hope that next time, the company could treat new, and existing, customers respectfully. And say «Yes, I realize you’re disappointed about the shipping, we are really sorry. Thank you so much for being our customer.» Or something like that! It’s not hard! We are all people. She didn’t give me a chance to speak and didn’t listen to anything I said. I asked to be transferred to Ann Marie’s boss and Ann Marie refused. It is a very unfortunate situation for Ann Marie and Jam Paper.

Maybe they have a good selection. And I don’t know too much about paper, but everything except for the blowout sales were unreasonably priced.
All I wanted was to get some colorful envelopes and paper to send to my friends back home and I wanted to use my student discount. Maybe it’s a stupid reason to be unhappy with this place, but they wouldn’t let me use my student discount after I already paid literally 3 seconds prior.
«You didn’t show me the card before you bought it. It’s too late now,» the cashier says to me. «On your next purchase, remember to show the card to me first.»
Yeah, I don’t think I’m ever going back to that place. $ 12 for a pack of paper and envelopes?
Nah. Not worth it, even if it is a small business.

Ich liebe Papierläden. Na gut, es gibt Papyrus, die Edelmarke, auch sehr schön, für Karten alle Art sehr zu empfehlen. Auch hier stöbere und kaufe ich gern.
Aber dieser in der Nähe unseres Hotels, per Zufall auf der Suche nach einer guten Frühstückslocation gefunden, hats mir dann doch angetan. Hier gibt es wirklich alles, was das Herz begehrt. Papier in allen Größen, Sorten und Farben. Papiertaschen auch für alle Gelegenheiten, ausgefallene Verpackungen, etc.
Am besten gefallen haben mir die Verpackungen zum Versenden von CD‘s (hier Bubble genannt). In allen Größen bis Din A 4 und Farben. Vor allem in Metallic sehen sie chic aus. Kann man auch gleich zum Versenden verwenden, da der entprechende Aufkleber innen liegt.
In diesem Laden hätte ich Stunden verbringen können. Natürlich musste der Koffer auch so einiges mitnehmen.
