Though a bit tricky to find, it’s always good exploring a new location and let’s face it-​scary when going to a new salon. However, I’m so beyond thrilled to have had this hair experience and I got so many compliments. I was at ease almost immediately. Two people actually said to me, if I were to drop you magically into a hi-​school right now, the way you look-​you would fit in immediately and no one would be the wiser. C’mon, who doesn’t want to look younger? Alexandria, or «Älex» cut and styled my hair. It’s perfect. It looks healthy. She was very honest about how much she thought should be cut and I agreed with her. Iit was a fun experience. I definately am going back. I trust them. The place is small, and immaculately clean. I can’t imagine Henry would have it any other way.
Be sure you know exactly where you’re going prior to travelling. It’s not a ground floor level salon, but the super was super helpful and I’m so glad I went.

So i bought a Groupon for a haircut, partial highlights, gloss, and blow out. I honestly don’t know what I was expecting when I got there, but whatever it was, was overly exceeded by the fabulous duo that is Alex and Henry. They are awesome, extremely knowledgeable about hair care, and gave me tips on how to get my hair back to it’s happy and hydrated state after a bunch of mistreatment. They did a fantastic job with my hair and I definitely plan on going back. thank you guys! Everyone loves what you have done to my hair.

I first started seeing Henry my fresh early days in New York City. And it was love at first cut.
Six years of being in New York and several more of living in Rome, Barcelona, and Toronto, and I’ve always come back to Jara New York for my cut, color, and highlights.
Henry has an epic talent for making clients look and feel amazing and he always finds the perfect balance between fashion and individual style. I never leave his studio without feeling a million times more glamorous than when I walk in. I get asked all the time about the man behind my stylish locks.
I can’t think of New York without a little tender loving care from my Henry!

Wow, Henry is a true gem! He is amazing with color, cuts and styling and really listens and cares about what you want. His studio is simple, comfortable and extremely service oriented. It consists of him and his assistant who is also great.
I get highlights regularly and they are absolutely perfect, natural and yet still have that je né sais quoi that gets me daily compliments!
His approach is all about enhancing natural beauty and personal style, need I say more? Visit him and you will know what I am talking about!
I live in DC now and have tried quite a few hair stylists here, but after meh service and a trip back I am happy to travel for him.
