While Jazzercise is a good workout, it’s very basic compared to other offerings in NYC. Jazzercise is located in the Complete Body Gym, which is likely the grimmest gym I have ever seen. This somewhat disgusting location tainted my impressions of Jazzercise. Having to walk through the entire gym to the studio in the back was not a pleasant experience and I felt very out of place. Now onto the class itself. The instructor Emily was friendly and upbeat and this review is not a reflection of her teaching skills. Emily was encouraging and I liked her choreography for the class. The class keeps you moving the entire time and you will break a sweat. I did have issue with the grimy mats and sub-par dirty looking weights that Jazzercise provided. After leaving the studio I felt it was necessary to sanitize my entire body. So overall, the class wasn’t terrible, but the facility made me feel dirty and slightly uncomfortable. I did not enjoy hearing wannabe meatheads drop their weights as I was trying to concentrate in my class. There are far better facilities and classes in the NYC area and I suggest checking those places out instead.

Fantastic workout. The studio is located inside a gym but the space is great. One hour work out which combines Cardio plus toning! Emily is by far my favourite instructor. She’s super fun and so energetic! Highly recommend her classes ’

Jazzercise is a great workout option for people who love to dance to great(and a variety) of music! I have met awesome friends by coming to Jazzercise and it’s great to take an hour a day to dance and tone up during strength training. Once you try a class, you will be hooked!
