I rarely write reviews, but Jeffrey deserves a good one! They have a great selection, even for men, despite what other reviews wrote. Some of my all-​time favorite pieces are from this store, and in many cases the sales associates initially brought them to my attention. I’ve always had good experiences with the staff. I’ve NEVER felt unwelcome. They’re also very knowledgeable, which I think elevates the shopping experience. And in my opinion it’s just more civilized and pleasant than the other, larger department stores. Having said that, I do wish they carried more men’s bags.

Nice selection of higher end designers with the women’s selection being better than the men’s.
My wife was able to find a Balenciaga belt which was reasonably priced and our friends also grabbed a few items.
I did not find anything in the men’s department and felt the show selection could have been better.
Service was fine despite the reviews.

A great place to find luxury items that are simply displayed like scoop n Barents but more on trend ! Great sale people !

I was a customer but U would NEVER shop in JeffREY’s again. I bought a pair of NON sale expensive (over $ 1.000 shoes & went out of town & on my return to NY, (finding shoes were very uncomfortable when I tried them on again) I went to return them 1 day after the expiration of their return policy — the sales person, including the manager not only refused to take them back & return my money but absolutely refused to take them back & issue store credit. Their policy & attitude is disgraceful & they have permanently lose my business
It is my opinion that all their merchandise is available by other more credible vendors whose policy’s are much more client friendly ‚
JEFFREY THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE

Didn’t even realize this place existed until I stumbled in.
Sort of like a Barney’s, but smaller and with only a tiny guy’s section.
Wifey sorta liked it but not worth it for a guy. So I’ll split the difference, 3-​stars.

I once saw a skit on TV mocking this store and it turns out that the skit actually reminds you of the staff a lot.
The staff is very rude and make you feel like you’re bothering them. The items in the location are slightly higher in cost than if you were to go elsewhere.
I recommend only coming here if you’re desperate to buy an entire outfit in one quick trip without having to go through several departments or floors at other retailers.

I want to personally thank Ivan who helped me pick out a great Rick Owens jacket today. He was very helpful and did not pressure me into buying anything when I was on the fence about the jacket. He did his job by helping me pick a size and only offered his help for another size or to see if I preferred anything else. Very professional which is rare in high end stores with snotty workers who think they run the world yet they work in a store… I would definitely come back and shop here when I return to nyc. Ivan, If you are reading this, thank you and good luck with your fashion line. I will be looking out for it on the website.

Best specialty store in New York. Their buyers have such a discerning eye and do an amazing job of curating the absolute best on the market. Always come here when I am in New York to see what they have bought. Strong point of view which is so rare these days!

Selection is slim. But I did find a shoe here I was dying to buy. If only the sales guy would return my calls and my text. Oh well.

Great place, great selection, well-​edited and unique choices! They had jewelry designers and shoe styles that I hadn’t seen anywhere else (Chicago, Barneys NY, or Bergdorf’s). The lovely Keisha, Kendra and Michael (my Midwest friend!) were super-​helpful and patient while I spent at least 45 minutes in each area, looking & trying; looking & trying!
I settled on (3) amazing pieces, and because I live out of state, they happily shipped my stuff with a smile (saving me the NY state sales tax)
Bravo, guys — you have a HUGE fan in Chicago~

Ugh. I want to love this store, as it’s super convenient for me and I’m a huge fan of Barneys. But alas, their shoe selection is just a tease for me since my feet are apparently too big for them to bother carrying my size in anything. Helloooooo, tall girls like to shop too! I’ve been in a few times over the last couple of months hoping they will have something that fits, but they don’t, and the sales staff couldn’t care less.

One of my favorite shops downtown. It’s the type of place you want to go when you’re in the mood to shop for high-​end designer wear and too lazy to go uptown to visit Barney’s. Jeffrey’s offers a great limited selection of designer clothing, handbags, and accessories. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem I have with Jeffrey’s is that I’m never able to find my size in anything I want. I guess the smalls run out fast!

Yes, I’m a fan! Who wouldn’t be?! A store full of goodies, and surprisingly they do have sales, and bought a jacket 50% off. Let’s be honest, it’s still pricey but if I can get an «investment» piece for a good deal, I’m all for it. although I later found out that I could have bought that exact same item/​size on park & bond for $ 100 less. whomp whomp :(
and it’s final sale so can’t return. Well, you win some you lose some. However, the fact that I got 50% off is stil a darn good deal!
Staff is great here. I dont’ come here that often, but I’ve always noticed that staff is super friendly and not pushy, I think Clay was the name of the guy who helped me yesterday, he was great!
More sales please!!! only way I can justify buying something that costs as much as round trip ticket to San Juan. :P

Gorggg! If Jeffrey could do for Nordstrom what he has done for Jeffrey on 14^th, I would be so happy. The store is chock full of beautiful, well picked merch, in fact, I’ve never seen such a small space with so much.
For sure visit this store when you’re down in the meatpacking district.

I just looked at the men’s shoe selection, which is easily as good as Bergdorf and Saks for men’s casual shoes. Those stores have more, but not better inventory. Jeffrey is better than Saks. For dress shoes, Saks and Bergdorf are better. Barneys is still better than all three for everything, but Jeffrey has the best selection below 49^th St. It rules downtown NYC.
Lanvin, YSL, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana.

To begin with, the doorman can either be nice or aloof. Just depends who got the job for the moment.
Second, the music is too loud.
Third, the men’s clothes are extremely edited. Usually, it’s a miss, but the last time I saw a polo and had it mailed to me days later. That was a process but everyone was nice about it, especially SA Armand.

The men’s shoes are pricey. Nice selection. Fun reasonable leather Jack Purcells and funky Topsiders were to be had. And SA Marcel was excellent.
And the men’s room was clean.
P. S. Parking can be difficult/​tricky.

Does anyone else remember this skit on SNL where Jimmy Fallon and Sean Hayes spoof the store Jeffrey? Well unfortunately it’s not that far off. I used to come into Jeffrey and be greeted immediately. I’d browse around for a while scoping out some killer men’s shoes and accessories. Be wowed at the vast selection of clothes that although from different designers looked seamless. I would even take a stroll through the women’s dept. just to see what was going on!
I’ve been in numerous times recently and it’s not like that anymore. The merchandising leaves much to be desired in both men’s and women’s. This includes the poor layout that allows the customer to miss items. The energy level was equivalent to a cat sleeping… snooze.
The selection has become very bland and repetitive. Even the shoes and accessories are lackluster. No exciting prints, the denim is blah, and there are far too many basics.
As for the customer service… the sales staff walks around like they have personal velvet ropes around them. If I am not on the list I will not be getting service, not even a hello or glance. I came in dressed head to toe in designer duds (not like I just got out of the gym or from lounging on the high-line…Which in my honest opinion shouldn’t matter.) I was never greeted once and most of the time the staff was huddled in little groups or calling across the floor to each other.
The women’s selection was underwhelming and lacked excitement. This is especially strange when you have some key players in the designer world in the area.
Overall the luxury feeling of this store has diminished and it’s a shame.

Way better than Barneys.
ok. Bergdorf and Barneys do have great selections and a ton of it. Compared to them Jeffrey might look a bit underwhelming. The space IS small and the selections are limited.
BUT WOW it is very well edited. The message is clear throughout the store and pieces are easy to find. Best part is, they successfully edited out the black junk that Barneys usually throws in to simply fill in the spots.
Customer service is superb. The best part is, they do the general greet and smile thing but leave you alone for majority of the time to explore. They don’t ignore you like at Barneys, they don’t smother you like at Bergdorf.

Such terrible customer service, I think they may be on par with Macy’s. I came here needing a black leather wallet for my Grandpa. Black. Leather. Simple. 80-​year-​old man. I used to work in boutiques (specifically handbags & accessories) and that is just an EASY, EASY sale.
So, after being handed over through 2 different sales representatives who kept randomly leaving me at the glass counter (yes, seriously, you’d think they had gotten some sort of training) and trying to upsell me on this most ghastly looking Givenchy metallic-​y wallet, I decided to take my business to Saks instead. Never will they see me again!

No. Just, no.
Jeffrey is everything wrong with what’s happened to the Meat Packing district; but the problem isn’t its location. From the cheap, Chinese made clothing laid out in an effort to look chic, to the pretentious feel, the pretentious staff, most of whom likely can’t afford to shop in this area of town themselves, save your money and your time. This place is American Apparel without the targeted hipster demographic. Yuck.
