Lived in the neighborhood for years and intentionally never went in here because of how it looked from the outside. However, feeling like I needed something different I decided to give it a shot. I will never come back. It took 15 min to make a fast food quesadilla and taco. The quesadilla was literally just cheese and grilled chicken(by «just» I mean raw ingredients, unseasoned, no flavor). Not only that, but the ingredients were definitely low quality. Chewy, dry chicken, stale tortilla, etc. The soft taco shell I got was disgustingly soggy. To make it worse– It was filled with Dinty Moore Chili. I’m 100% positive this is what they use because I go backpacking/mountain climbing a lot and usually bring a can or two because it’s filling and very high in calories. But definitely not something you would ever want from a Mexican place– even fast food. Finally, when I paid up– the cashier short changed me a dollar and I had to explain the math to her. $ 10 — $ 7.85 = $ 1.15? Are you kidding me? I expected it to be not so great, but yeesh.

JUST eaten a couple of glorious burritos from Jesus Taco! My oh my… Simple and delicious food! Delivery was extremely fast also with a friendly fella bringing the order to the door, the tortillas and dips were good too! Will be ordering from them again!

It’s a hole in the wall TexMex spot. Small place, can seat about 12 ppl max. Quick, Cheap and satisfied my hunger without the guilt of «cheap eating» I had a shrimp taco and a fish taco — both with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Tastes fine. Convenient location, I’ll def return. It’s there to do exactly what it does and I get it. No hoopla and nothing fancy; just the basics.

Really 2 ½ stars I guess. Had it delivered. Everything was found how it should’ve been and normal waiting time. Not great nor awful. Had the steak burrito, no guac. From other reviews it’s seems one should pass on the guac. Not bad. It’s a burrito, how bad can you get? Also tried the chorizo quesadilla. The chorizo was a very greasy link sliced up. Expected it to be more crumbled as I usually find chorizo to be. Next time just cheese. If there is a next time. Sometimes you get desperate for Mexican food and just wanted it delivered.

I’ve read a lot of these reviews and I have no idea how there are any good ones. 1) I got delivery, a burrito, chips, and salsa. The delivery was supposed to take 30 – 40 minutes, it took an hour. The guy didn’t even go to the right apartment building and had to call me to get the right address – which means he had a phone and could have called to say the delivery would be late. 2) When I opened the burrito(which was weirdly wrapped in fast food wrapper paper) it was not even wrapped, but folded in half like a giant soft taco. I was not pleased, but since I was in a hurry(since delivery took forever) I was in no position to call and complain. 3) the food wasn’t even good. The salsa ranchero was mediocre, the guacamole shouldn’t even be called guac, it was terrible, so glad I got it on the side. The steak in my burrito was good, too bad there wasn’t much of it. The majority of the burrito was cheap store bought tortilla, cheese, beans, and bland rice. The chips were store bought as well. I lived in the Southwest for years, I know TexMex – the good to the mediocre – and this was just plain bad. I wouldn’t even call it TexMex, just bad. I will never order from here again, and if someone asks me for a recommendation, I would wholeheartedly tell them not to patronize this place. I’m glad I had a discount coupon for seamless or I would have been really upset about this $ 15 meal…

I have ordered from them in the past. mainly tacos and nachos. But today, I was craving enchiladas. And wow did they disappoint. Their«enchiladas» are just poorly made soft tacos. They are not recognizable as enchiladas. They aren’t prepared the same or don’t use any of the same ingredients. So I was over-charged for two weird looking soft tacos. Don’t bother with them. They don’t make the food you want and won’t refund you when they fail. Bad all around.

Wow this pains me to write this, however fuck it I spent 25 bucks on 2 burritos and nachos. Sadly this is the first time I started eating a burrito and just threw it out. So let’s start off with the sloppy nachos that were caked with black beans, little sour cream and guacamole. Not to mention the none existent cheese. Then we go over to the steak burrito mess that was wrapped horribly and completely tasted bland. The steak was like rubber. It felt like crappy left over Hispanic food wrapped together. So don’t waste ur time

Great tasting and good portions for a nice value and a full belly. Such good Mexican food! I ordered the chicken hard shell taco, steak fajita, chorizo quesadilla and a side of guacamole. The steak was a great flavor, as was the chorizo and chicken. The guacamole was a little on the thin side, but it made it easy to put onto everything. Great experience. Definitely will order again.

A friendly staff makes their tasty tacos ever better. I mean JESUS, they had me at holy guacamole! If you’re in Harlem and happen to be into generous portions of Mexican food at affordable prices, this is THE spot.

Three times and we’re done. As we sit here now on attempt number three, half our order wasn’t in the bag. Forty minutes later, after three phone calls to the very rude guy at the store, we get«It’s coming!» as if WE are a hindrance to THEM! And the food was BLAND, BLAND, BLAND all three times. Especially anything with chicken. NOTASTE. I’d give them no stars but it won’t let me.

Let me just say I won’t be ordering from Jesus Taco anymore. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for three years now and, being from Los Angeles, I love love LOVE Mexican food. I was excited to have a place that delivered so close to me and I tried it out. To be clear, the food is just good. I’ve had several things on their menu and it wasn’t really anything to write home about. It was just good. My steak burrito usually had one or more large chunks of gristle and/or fat in it, but it was relatively tasty. My chicken quesadillas were good and the chili con carne with their chips is a win. But, «just good» food does not account for the TERRIBLE delivery experiences I’ve had. I’ve ordered several times via GrubHub and only once have they delivered within the delivery estimate window(which is an ample hour beyond the time they indicate they have received your order, not even when you actually place it). Late deliveries I was able to deal with… until my boyfriend and I decided we wanted burgers last Saturday. Colossal mistake. The order was very clear: One cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and fries One bacon cheeseburger with fries(and a stipulation to hold the mayo) Two Sprites Our delivery estimate was between 10:30 and 10:40 pm. We waited anxiously, and when 10:30 came and went, I decided to give them a break because 1) they still had ten minutes and 2) SURELY they wouldn’t be late AGAIN? When 10:40 came and went my boyfriend began to get upset. 10:45, 10:50, 10:55… It was almost 11 pm when our buzzer finally rang. I was just relieved to finally get the food(though, obviously, the tip was going to suffer). I tore into the bag to divvy the food and lo and behold, our order was wrong. Here’s what we got: Two bacon cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, and more mayonnaise than I ever wanted or needed to eat on a hamburger, liberally slathered on both buns(I mean, who DOES that?!) One order of fries Two Sprites At that point we were much too hungry and it was much too late to reorder and tell them that 1) I ordered a cheeseburger, not a bacon cheeseburger, 2) the bacon cheeseburgers we got literally had mayonnaise dripping from them, and 3) we were missing an order of fries. My boyfriend grabbed one of our own hamburger buns because his was so saturated with mayonnaise(he hates mayo) and vegetables he didn’t ask for. So to sum up: a 20 minutes late delivery with the wrong food/missing food in the bag. Needless to say, we will never order from Jesus Taco again. I would recommend that no one else does either. The food is just not good enough to justify the crappy service. I only wish La Cocinita Latina stayed open later; they never get the order wrong(and the food is so much better).

So many better options in the area! My most recent experience sealed the deal when I waited 3 hours for 3 tacos and was charged twice. Why not just cancel right? Well its impossible to contact them. They have 1 line, meaning if they are on the other line. or in the process of running a credit card, YOUWILLBESTUCKWITH A BUSYSIGNALFOR3 – 5MINUTES. You legit have to time your call. The tacos are completely average to below average(seriously, not even sure what the difference between a soft shell taco & the Fresh Flour Tortillas wraps are, but the wraps are cheaper and somehow taste better? so dont even bother with the soft shell tacos!!!) and not at all worth the hassle of ordering from them.

Jesus is just all right with me! This place is AMAZING, but I have to start off by giving two pieces of negative info: First of all, if you’re ordering delivery, don’t be an idiot and order nachos. Nachos cannot be delivered! It’s that simple! Order your nachos for pickup, but don’t expect them to bring you perfect, crispy, tidy nachos on a weekend night. Even the Lord and Savior of Tacos can’t perform that miracle. Secondly, this place is for serious addictive. Order enough food for a few nights because you’re going to want to eat it for every meal. And it’s cheap enough that you can! Okay, on to the good stuff. SHRIMPTACOS. Shrimp tacos so good it’s as though Jesus himself walked across the water, stretched out his palms, and hoardes of angelic shrimp leapt into his arms to be seasoned and laid out in these amazing tacos. Oh, and fresh chips. FRESHCHIPS. Praise him.

Don’t tell anyone but I think the real Jesus Christ is their chef because bro their food is HEAVENLY, and I don’t even BELIEVE in that shit. Guys, guys. Let me side with you. I love nachos. But when you put a gallon of salt, stringy-ass cheese, deliciously tepid salsa, and exceptionally firm sour cream that tastes exactly like Greek yogurt on said nachos, you MAKEMYNIGHT. Let’s take a break and talk about their sour cream. Why haven’t you ordered their sour cream yet? I do not know the answer to this question and hopefully by the end of this sentence your answer will be «I dunno Ben, I just picked up the phone and called them to rectify that!» Nothing ordered from here is bad, it is all good, THUS I am justified in saying THEWORLDIS A PERFECTPLACE

I keep forgetting to check here after I find what I want on Menupages. Basic Tex-Mex food. Definitely could use some seasoning. Spent about $ 22 for two people at lunch. Kind of expensive for the quality.

How this place got an «A» grade from the health department, I do not know. Let me start with the… CONS: ~ I was watching the guy(the chubby one that was in the back cooking before he decided to help the guy taking orders) getting my order ready, and HEHAS A THUMBFULLOFSOURCREAM, ANDJUSTLICKSITRIGHTOFFANDKEEPSMAKINGMYFOOD… but, yep, I was that hungry that I really didn’t care. ~They don’t wear gloves. Subway wears gloves, and washes their hands after every cash transaction. Not this place. Greasy, nasty hands made my food… ~Took 22 minutes to make one burrito and two Quesadillas to go. ~They finished the order that was put in after mine first because, I assume, he only ordered one item. PROS: ~Damn good food. Not as good as the taco trucks back in California, but nothing really is THAT good… So overall, Good food made with greasy, tongue washed hands. I had the chicken and steak burrito. The beef was the best part, but I was kinda bummed that there was no jalapenos. I also had the tex-mex chili quesadilla, which was good, but I’ve now had my weekly allotment of grease, it was good. My wife had the tex-mex guacamole quesadilla, no complaints. We will be back, but we will order delivery, so I don’t have to see some of the things that I saw. It takes some good food to have to overlook those things, but still… it’s gross…

Look, hear me out. Sometimes you want generic Tex-Mex and Taco Bell starts sounding like an actual food option. This is the time when you’re happy that Jesus Taco is down the street. The nachos are great and their steak burrito seriously hits the spot. AND I didn’t have to suffer the indignity of going to Taco Bell.
