Been here a few times, the haircuts here are crazy overpriced, and don’t even come out well. Your better off going to local barbershops and pay under 20 dollars for better haircuts. John Allan’s is lacking customer service, they can’t maintain there appointments and this place is a joke in tribeca

Been a member here for a few months and so far so great. Lawrence is a master barber who can make even the likes of me look good, Ana is a super cool «handshake maintenance» expert, Stephanie rubs your head with love and Blake is a great cat. Comfortable place, very unique experience. Where else can you get all of this and a beer to boot?

Came back, without a Gilt City (this is when businesses that do deals on those deal sites do it right — repeat customers) because I thoroughly enjoyed it so much.
Shampoo, head massage, hot towel, haircut, manicure… all while getting drinks and a relaxing environment. The stylists here are also really really honestly nice. Will be back.

I’ve been a member since 2008, first in the Saks location, then Tribeca. The staff is fantastic at Tribeca. Liz gives phenomenal haircuts — I can’t remember a single time in the last few years when I was dissatisfied with the cut she gave me. Emily gives a fantastic shampoo/​hot towel — very relaxing. And they both are just generally great people, very fun to be around.

Became a member roughly 9 months ago. It’s my go-​to place for a quick trim, shoeshine, hot towel. Great service. Liz is a fantastic stylist so ask for her. Make an appointment ahead of time, but they’re usually very accommodating. Pool table, classic rock music, and sportscenter on the tube are a great touch.

It’s a boys club, but we were there for a wonderful charity event. The set up is clean and masculine. I can imagine how great a guy would feel having their hair cut here.

I got the full treatment today. Great Shampoo, manicure, and shoe shine Great value for the price. Nice people, nice space and well organized. But not the greatest haircut I’ve ever had. A bit uneven.

I used to get my cuts at John Allen’s midtown («Mint» was stylist) but moved to tribeca and have been very pleased with branch. It is smaller than midtown and vastly more personable and relaxed. I never feel rushed. My new stylist is Percilla and she is wonderful. The scalp shampoo is great and Vestry Wines (nextdoor) often has free tastings.

After allowing my head to be carved-​up all across Manhattan for over two years, I conceded to pay the $ 60 price for haircut only (incl $ 10 tip) — nearly unfathomable for someone who had never paid over $ 20 in the past — I was clearly desperate.
The approach is effective: haircut while you sip a complimentary brew and watch SportsCenter.
The haircuts are a lot better than the headaches offered elsewhere, so I’ve become a regular, though not a member (membership is ~$ 900/​year, not incl tip, for unlimited «full service»).
