The food here is great, and if you work retail in the neighborhood you get a 50% discount which is incredible. Only downfall is how rude some of the workers are. Also call ahead of time since they seem to be pretty slow with orders made on the spot(around 20 minutes)

I’m giving a 5 star rating based on one review. I know, I haven’t scratched the surface of the menu. I was there for lunch… Lovely, cozy and casual on a cold, windy day. Other Unilocalers correctly pointed out that the spring rolls are delicious! It’s a serving best shared by at least 2 people — — it’s 4 delicious rolls. And I had the Bangkok(green) Curry. Yummy! I was warned that it’s spicy… Not as spicy as some restaurants. Totally delicious. Can’t wait to enjoy more tasty dishes.

I had the salmon and it was delicious. Pan fried to the perfect texture and then placed in a rich sauce made if chili and tomatoes. My server was easy going, very knowledgable about the food and had a genuine smile. Loved it. My husband ordered the pad Thai and wasn’t blown away. I tried it too, and was also unimpressed… You win some and you loose some. FYI: food took a while to come out so order a quick app.

Seriously awesome pan Asian restaurant! Food is really good and the décor is warm and welcoming. I’ve had lunch there a number of times and was never disappointed. Worth a visit!

Best Asian Fusion in SOHO. Others can make their claim, but they will come and go. Kelly & Ping is here to stay.

A staple for my best friend and I. Warm and inviting atmosphere and delicious food. Spring rolls and pad thai are the best of anywhere. We go at least twice a month, I hope this place can outlast the dying breed of original places that has become ny.

I was shopping in SOHO for a quick weekend visit to NYC and came across this place. My friend and I ordered the Yasai bento and pad thai to share. The veg dumpling and tofu in the bento were lite and tasty. The pad thai was okay but not as much veg as I would have liked. It was a cool restaurant with wooden floors and ancient Asian pieces decorating the walls and windows; the service was standard. Overall score 3.25

I stopped for lunch the other day after the 30% off sale at Patagonia which has recently located to Greene Street. It is a large space and you order from the counter-there is a large variety of Thai, Vietnamese food-soups, stir fry-wok dishes, bento boxes etc. They only do cash for lunch and the place only had a few clients at the time. By the time I left the place had started to fill up. They also have vietnamese coffee/tea and bubble teas. It is reasonable prices and as you enter, they also have a grocery where non perishable items can be purchased. I would recommend and return. One does not leave hungry.

Bad — ordered from seamless took over an hour and a half to deliver 5 blocks away. What arrived was wet sloppy and disgusting. If you want to eat there, go to the restaurant. don’t order take out — they don’t know how to do it.

2012 Review — Just found this in my drafts :/ Amazing! Went to lunch here the other day. The line was super long but moved pretty quickly. The lady taking orders was very nice(probably the owner). The food is great, I had the Japanese style curry. It tasted like Coco’s Curry in Japan! The whole place is authentically Asian. Small space, free water cooler, cafeteria style seating(a lot of tables/some benches). Only thing is they don’t take debit or credit cards but there’s an ATM with a $ 1.75 fee… Not so bad. Come with cash if you don’t want to pay the fee!!!

I’m giving this place 2 stars simply because we finished our food(well, we were starving). The sticky rice was stale and old. The papaya salad was pretty tasteless. The service wasn’t very good at all. There was no sign saying cash only, but the lady took our credit card so that was nice. The water also had floating particles in it. And this place is way over priced. Not impressed.

OMFG! I had to review this place just to laugh about how ignorant and pretentious Manhattanittes can be in regards to food. I had the 14 $ malaysian curry noodle soup here, which is clearly made with dry wavy instant ramen noodles out of bag. Thats right, it’s made with the same instant noodles out of a 40 cent plastic package like you used to eat when you were in college, with chicken and a decent coconut, lime curry sauce. While skimming reviews, I read some dude who described these same noodles as «really well done, perfectly tender/al dante without getting mushy.» Dante wrote the inferno, and it was not about pasta Instant. Ramen. Noodles. 14 $. Here’s a link to said d-bag’s review. I can’t even, right now… In other news, they brought out one entrée five minutes late, no explanation, and the chicken was dried out and tough. Ironically that chicken should have spent 5 less minutes on the grill and come out on time with the rest of the entrees having been done perfectly… Satay app was 5⁄5 though.

I found this place walking around Soho looking for lunch. It’s very big inside and during lunch it’s counter service and seat yourself. I got the vietnamese crispy noodles w/vegetables & shrimp. The bowl was good, lots of flavor and it was a good lunchtime meal. If you’re looking for a quick lunch you should check it out!

This place is everything you might expect from a Thai place in Soho. Trendy, but still welcoming– a nice place for a date night, or a classy meal with some friends without turning the evening into a big to-do. I’ve eaten here on two occasions and ordered the Pad Thai both times. The food is good, but nothing that will blow your taste buds away.

The place is very casual, easy and classy . Staff here are very friendly and nice to me every time I come in. The food here is good. I always order duck salad and chicken noodles. I would recommend fried banana for desert

Stumbled across Kelley & Ping the other day with my boyfriend. This is one of my new favorite spots in lower Manhattan: The ambiance is fantastic, its great for small groups, for lunch. They play fun crackly old-timey jazz music, which compliments the eclectic décor and feels like you’re eating the Grauman’s Chinese theater. Kelley and Ping looks like it was decorated almost entirely from the Pearl River Mart down the street. Love it. More importantly, the food was delicious. Together, we sampled a few different things, all of which were great: Most noteworthy was the Thai Bento box; a lot of food in an elegant display. The vegetarian pad thai was great, though not very spicy, the salmon was cooked perfectly, the salad was simple but yummy and very fresh and the dressing was fantastic. The mango rice was one of the greatest things I’ve had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. It could have been a dessert. And the spring rolls were a great size and texture and sauced appropriately. They are cash only, which was is a drawback, but not something I would knock off a star for.

If there was a half star option, I believe the Kelly and Ping would have a 2.5 star rating rather than the current 3 star rating from raters such as myself who’d prefer to drop that half star. It’s in a good location, décor is strangely festive but the seating arrangement is a little tight in the back area and there is only a unisex one stall bathroom which makes for a constant queue. Nice that there is a small cookie selection by the front bar for those that need a sweet to round out their meal but bottom line, the food is merely passable– low on real flavor and just not as good it used to be.

Kelley and Ping is a really nice place to eat. I’ve had Both Lunch and dinner here but it’s been really cool. At lunch I love the Pad see yew and dinner time I go for the steamed cod fish in a banana leaf that’s shaped like a boat. The day time is more like self service and at night you get a waiter. Service is nice at dinner time and the food usually comes at a decent time. I like it and I’d recommend it every time.
