Kevin Wallace

Kevin Wallace (and Murray Hill Medical Group in general) are extraordinarily unethical and dishonest. I was double charged for my annual routine physical, and when I called to dispute the double charge, the billing department told me that I was either «mis-​remembering or not telling the truth», and that I must have had 2 appointments in one day. They then added a $ 50 charge to my account for missing an appointment, claiming that six months earlier I had missed an appointment and they had forgotten to charge me for it (obviously, this charge was retaliation for challenging them on their practice of double billing). When Kevin Wallace finally called me back (several weeks after I left him a message), he told me that the double charge was justified by the fact that I asked 3 questions during my routine physical. He is now under investigation by the New York State Attorney General, and the New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct. He and Murray Hill Medical Group should be avoided at all costs.

I love Dr. Wallace. He always has time for me, he listens to what i have to say and he addresses my concerns. he is professional but calming. I dont usually like male doctors but i am a fan!

He seemed in a rush when seeing me. And he asked me to come back for a 2^nd visit, attempting to charge me twice even though I cleared scheduled for a physical with the nurse. The front desk is also very rude and impersonal. Not a positive experience for me.

Dr. Wallace consults with the utmost efficiency and care, and I have always felt comfortable and trusting of his expertise for the 3+ years of being his patient.

I have to say I am absolutely shocked by Joe S’s review of Dr. Wallace. I came to Dr Wallace after my favorite doctor of all time Dr. Deore moved. She recommended him to me and I trust anything she says.
Dr. Wallace takes the time out to sit with you and talk about what is going on. On numerous occasions he has sat with me and not just tried to fix symptoms but gone down to the heart of WHY these symptoms are occurring. He practices medicine that is very unlike many American doctors. I have hypothyroid and he doesn’t just TREAT my thyroid. He wanted to find out if perhaps my condition was hereditary or caused by a virus which would mean I probably wouldn’t be on meds forever and literally went through a lengthy process to find out what was going on. Turns out I carry the gene for hereditary hypothyroid. Good to know.
Recently I had a medical issue that was scaring the crap out of me. I went to Dr. Wallace who was VERY thorough and ran every test imaginable to find out why this was happening. He contacted my previous doctors to get old test results and promptly scheduled an MRI of my kidney. Seriously when Dr. Wallace gets serious about whats going on he is NO joke and aggressive in finding out what is going on. Totally gangster. Its pretty hot to watch. Turns out I didn’t have a kidney problem but something that was treatable with antibiotics only. Dr. Wallace is totally a doctor I would want in my corner if I ever became extremely sick. Attentive, takes his time and will literally get to the root of whats going on. If he cant, he is not afraid to refer you to a specialist.

Dr. Wallace is absolutely spectacular. He is thoughtful, concerned, and very professional (without being aloof or snobby). I feel like he’s a «real» person. I’m also extremely glad he’s my doctor now!
It was a joy to see him go over all of my family history and medical issue., I could actually see him trying to figure me out and what was needed to fix me, a true doctor in action. In comparison my last doc rushed me in and out, never made me feel that we connected on a personal level, and actually, never solved my issues.
Another great thing is that he takes new patients relatively fast. i just moved to Manhattan and I was seeking a doctor for some time. A few places I checked into had 3 – 4 month waits for new patients, and that seems a bit crazy to me. I got an appointment in fairly short order after calling, and it was much appreciated.
I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.
