This store is amazing! They are so knowledgable and won’t up sell you on anything. They know what works and what doesn’t for you and your size/​shape. The owner is a bad bitch too! Love it. It’s expensive but worth it. You can’t put a price on a great bra that will last you years and years.

The owner of this shop, Rebecca, is the most expert and knowledgeable bra-​fitter I’ve ever met. She solved my bra problems for me today in under 5 minutes. She’s also kind, warm, and funny, which was very refreshing.

I’m impressed. While their selection is small, the employees are quirky, attentive and fun. I really wanted to purchase a gorgeous frilly red and white polka dot Chantal Thomass bra, but they didn’t have my size. Still, they let me take a photo of the tag so I could purchase online.
A hilariously awesome conversation with one of the best employees went like this:
Employee: How would you wear this bra?
Me: As a top while sun bathing, or under a partially unbuttoned white dress shirt.
Employee: What’s your sign?
Me: Aquarius.
Employee: They’re kinky. People don’t know that because they present themselves a certain way, but they are.

Stumbled on in here on a whim and so glad I did. Was drawn into this beautiful little shop, but actually also needed bras. So, it was a win-​win. All of their lingerie is gorgeous!!! I’m a petite girl with not so petite boobies, so Victoria’s Secret bras do nothing for me. The lady that was working fitted me and was really helpful. And I was glad to have found a place that carries all of the brands that I like. I ended up with two beautiful lace bras, which is exactly what I wanted. Both fit great. They also have my favorite Hanky Panky panties. I can’t wait to return!

Large product selection that ranges from very playful to seductive and vibes more burlesque than boudoir. Speaking of vibing… they also sell vibrators (a convenient and sensible thing to do).
The staff is friendly and knowledgable — Sam is our go-​to girl! She knows what fits, why it fits and couldn’t be sweeter or more helpful in the trying-​on process.
Small/​medium bra sizes upstairs, larger sizes downstairs (requires an associate to pull you pieces from their backroom). Sale drawers downstairs as well.

The is the best lingerie store in the metropolitan area. I have been an intimate apparel designer, intimate design director, and this small out of the place personable place is the place to go for hot, sexy functional, lingerie. But don’t take it from a designer who has no stock in the place just 20 years of experience to boot.

If you’re an average sized girl who thinks Victoria’s Secret fits you just fine, then this isn’t the store for you. This is the store for difficult-​to-​fit ladies, or ladies that don’t know what fits wrong or why.
When I came in both workers were busy with customers, so I browsed around. Most of what’s displayed are the pretty special lingerie. They «hide» the everyday bras in the drawers underneath. I’m not shy with showing my body in a bra shop (to the fitters) since that’s the only way to get properly fitted. I’m also not shy with saying what I’m looking for and only trying things on that fit those needs. They did have me try on far more than the 2 I was looking for, but that was to see how I felt in different cuts and styles of everyday bras. No one pressured me to buy everything I tried on! I wore a bra that I knew really had to be retired, so I didn’t feel guilty about wearing its replacement out the store. I wanted to make sure I got rid of a bad bra!
It is on the pricier side, but for those who are hard to fit, you know the extra cash is worth it. There’s no sideboob/​underboob/​unfilled cups, and you feel supported and sexy. If you take care of bras right, they can last you a while. They really are an investment. The bras also aren’t exorbitant; they’re still less than $ 100 for normal everyday stuff. Obviously, bejeweled slinky silk will be more expensive, but that’s special occasion.
I like that they have a loyalty program although I don’t know if I’ll buy 10 bras before accidentally losing the card. The vibe of the store is very girl friend-​y so I didn’t feel awkward for a typically uncomfortable experience.

Very helpful service. The salesperson helped me find the right bra fit for me and also instructed me on proper bra care. It’s true that the bras are a bit pricey, but worth it I think.

As a lady with thicker thighs, It is a challenge to find stockings that don’t cause mini muffin tops or roll down. When I saw that they carried larger sizes in store, I jumped at the chance to buy a pair online and pick them up in store. When I arrived to the store I was greeted by the most lovely woman, who went to get my order and told me that unfortunately, due to computer error, I would have to pay for the stockings in order to take them with me. She assured me that she would have the payment refunded to me ASAP. I called in today — a few days later — and not only did she remember me, but she assured me the refund had been processed on Monday and that I should see it by the end of the week. Beautiful store, Excellent product, and best of all — incredible customer service!

I had a fantastic experience at La Petit Coquette last night. The owner assisted me and she was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Her knowledge of size and fit are top notch and she took great care to listen to the styles and items that I liked. I’ll definitely be back!

This is the ONLY lingerie store you need in the city. The owners are personable and experts in their field. I went in dressed sloppy looking like I don’t have two pennies to rub together, not sure what I was looking for yet the staff gave me fantastic service, made sure each bra fits, I even got a few laughs in with other customers. I left with five sets and could not be happier. They also have high quality silk robes and slips – hard to find in a world dominates by Victoria’s Secret poly-​blend garbage.

This is my number one favorite lingerie store in ALL the land. The owner is super sweet with a sexy raspy voice. I’ve been going here for over 6 years and they carry all of my favorite brands from Europe and the UK [including La Perla]. They also have tights [including Wolford] as well as bustiers that will make your tater tots look amazing. Love this place. A lot.

So a funny thing happened to my boobs this year…
Without gaining weight, and without getting pregnant, they grew TWO sizes. Yup.
DOS, amigos.
They had a growth spurt.
I’m serious!
I woke up one morning and my boobies just decided to finally catch up with the rest of my 5’11″ frame.
BOOM!!!
Life changed.
And at 29 no less…
So then suddenly I had these massive humps practically choking my neck, and i felt awkward and misshapen and really wretched (and too shy for the turtlenecks I love so much).
The resulting disdain for my new friends has led to a year of wearing old, ill-​fitting, flimsy bras and teeny bondage-​tight sports bras to try and flatten them down.
But then not too long ago I ((turned 30)) decided it was time to embrace them… get a new perspective on their appearance, perhaps pamper them with some proper support. Maybe that would change how I felt about them?
So I did a little research (thanks NY Mag) and went in search to make peace with these pesky pillows sitting on my body.

I strolled into La Petite Coquette only anticipating to do a little price-​scoping, trying on 2 or 3 bras, perhaps leaving with a thong… maybe not even. Maybe leaving with stronger desire to do everything I could to keep hiding them!
But you see the 5 stars there… and the fact that I’m rambling on about my personal boob struggles… Which means, obviously, the merchandise and experience sucked me in.
Everything was GORGEOUS, to start. And then Nina approached me. Oh Nina bless you! Before I could even hang the 3 bras I’d ((wrongly)) selected, she had me in a fitting. I was just expecting her to show me to a room (which are cozy and is a small area overall, but this is NY people) and to my surprise she asked me if I needed help with my size at which point I admitted I had absolutely no clue (as a 30 year old woman). Good god lemon.
So she determined my size ((very much to my surprise)), by having me try on a few fit bras. Then she brought customized selections, after explaining why I am the size I am and how to best determine what constitutes a well-​fitting. Nina checked in with me while I was wearing each bra she brought. She helped me understand why one might be working particularly well (they pretty much all seemed too!) but also gave me ample time to stand on my own and try/​touch/​ponder/​test with the tanks they leave in the room… and my fav turtle neck ;)
I was also really pleased with how Nina zoned in on styles that had the right functionality for me AND were totally on point stylistically for me (there are many styles packed into that tiny shop, actually, you would never guess it!).
The whole experience exceeded my expectations for bra shopping, needless to say.
It was evident in the way all patrons were treated that this customer service style is just part of what makes LPC so standout. And then there’s the quality of the merchandise, because boy is it something!!! Everything in the store seems carefully selected. Each bra I tried was supportive, shapely, aesthetically pleasing… and I could tell from what other women were saying that they loved what had been tailored to their needs too. I had a hard time narrowing it down from 5 items to 2, in the end. ME!!! A woman who thought she’d never like her boobs enough to like her bras or even give a shit. Well I’ve had the bras for a month now and I’ve nothing but. It’s addictive to have real quality when that quality changes your form/​figure/​LIFE.
I’ll be a repeat customer, and soon!
**PS: There’s no fee for the fitting as a walk in (but do tip if you buy– and how could you not!!). I do believe you can make appointments, perhaps for monies, if you need even more time with a specialist. But I think the complimentary service is quite great on its own.

Pros: Love this place. The selection is incredible –such beautiful pieces. You can go get perfectly measured for a comfy go-​to bra, or you can pick up something sweet and sexy. They have some amazing bra sets, but they also have a good selection of chemises and baby dolls… And the corsets! Wow. Oh, and they also have a good selection of hanky panky underwear!
Cons: Definitely not the lowest prices. The staff is very friendly, if a little aggressive. If you go in to shop around, you will end up with 30 pieces in your fitting room — which is awesome if you’re the kind of shopper than can hold your ground and feel comfortable saying «I think I’m only going to get this one thing today.»

Really upset to write this review. I used to go to LPC back when I was in college and splurged on things here and there. I always loved how they fit you and always got great fitting and lasting bras. Now after breast feeding 2 kids, it was time to get fitted again and felt like I wanted to treat myself by going back to LPC. I cleared my schedule and made the trek from Brooklyn. I went into the store and it fulfilled my dreams. I had a great fitting with a really nice sales person and came away with 2 great fitting bras.
After wearing one for 2 weeks I noticed the back of the bra started falling apart. I had not worn it too much and had not even washed it. It seemed to just be a damaged bra as the thread was just unraveling in the back. I called the store and someone said I could bring it back in and they could fix it. I told them I would not be able to make it in for a couple weeks as I was traveling, but just wanted it noted on my account about this so they didn’t think I was wearing it a ton. I came back and called the store only to find out that they don’t repair bras anymore. The sales person who was a manager was very rude this time. She said since I had worn the bra they wouldn’t help me. After trying to explain more the situation and now complaining, she said she would fix it for me as a personal favor but the stitching would not be good. I asked if they would just replace it because I obviously took a bra that was faulty. She said because I wore it (even for only 2 weeks) that they couldn’t help me. She was really rude and made me feel like the jerk that I bought a $ 90 bra and upset that it fell apart after a couple weeks. I told her I actually loved the bra and wanted to buy more but just wanted the one I had replaced or properly fixed.
I’ve decided I’m just going to pay for a local tailor to fix it and find the bra online to purchase more. So upset to have this experience and to write this review as it was a store I always loved. They need to consider better policies and hiring people with better customer service to manage and deal with customers.

Incredible! Came in to find a gift for my girlfriend and it could not have been easier. I was a little apprehensive at first about how it was going to work (a man buying lingerie), but it could not have been easier! From the moment I walked in I was treated with outstanding service and attention. The owner was able to help me find a extremely beautiful piece from La Perla that I was extremely happy with. Thank you so much La Petite Coquette for making my shopping experience so enjoyable and easy!

Absolutely love this lingerie store. I have a very small rib cage with a full bust and I’m hard to fit. The staff is friendly and knows what they’re talking about. I miss being in the city to shop there, but love the website option! And just as in person, the customer service over the phone was phenomenal. The associate was friendly and happy to take her time with me as if I were right in front of her. You could hear her smile on the phone. Always a great experience at La Petite Coquette.

I went during their sale time, not expecting customer service, since the place was so packed. I was so wrong. I was made to feel as if I was the only customer in the store. Despite it being crowded, the salesperson ran all over to get me the sizes I needed, she brought me suggestions that were on the mark, and made sure everything I purchased fit me perfectly. I am a loyal La Petite Coquette customer for their selection and high quality and excellent customer service.

Whenever I come into this shop I can not leave without buying something.

Stumbled upon this store online and was pleased with my experience. I felt the staff was very knowledgeable about the products in store. Case and point – I came into the store thinking I was one size but once I had a bra in that size on, she suggested I try another size and she was totally right! I was much more comfortable. I will definitely be coming back.

I picked an afternoon to go lingerie shopping for some little sexy things to have on hand for the new beau. This was my second stop out of 3 village/​soho non-Victoria’s Secret lingerie shops, and it was BY FAR the worst one.
The minute I walked in the older lady behind the counter literally eyed me up and down and did not say hello. Got the distinct feeling that because I’m not a size 6 and dressed Fashionably, that I was not worthy of her time. Whatever — I moved on to look at the pieces because that’s why I was there. I guess she figured out I might actually have money to spend there, so she walked up to me and through a stiff smile uttered hello & could she help me? I said yes, I was looking for one-​pieces with underwire in them, gave her my size and showed her something I liked.
She came back a minute later with 3 bras, saying I should try those on while she went to look for any one-​pieces in my size. (I didn’t want to try on bras!) As we walked to the TEENY TINY closet of a dressing room she noticed my bag from a competitive lingerie store and asked me if I liked it there. (Um, considering I bought stuff from there wouldn’t the answer be Yes??) I said yes it was very nice and she just snickered and rolled her eyes. I found this very odd, considering she was shoving me into a hot closet that only had a curtain to barely maintain my privacy while foisting bras I didn’t want upon me … Compared to the competitor, which has HUGE dressing rooms with proper doors that close and huge mirrors, fluffy gowns to wear while you wait, Evian water, Baci chocolates and super friendly sales people who actually give you what you request! So I said «have you ever been there?» thinking she can’t possibly have eyes in her head and think that this place is better than the other one — and she just chuckled and said ‘oh yeah, i wasn’t impressed.” I just smiled and nodded, but was thinking…
Well, lady, you need to get out more. And take a class in customer service. And watch Miracle on 34^th Street for the Macys/Gimbel’s scene!
She came back up from the basement and promptly announced that they had NOTHING in a one-​piece for me to try no. Wow. NOTHING? I’m a size 12 with 38D bust — just to put this into perspective for you other Women out there with curves. I had even told her that it didn’t need to be exact size because this was just Boudoir Wear, not a support system. She tried to push the bras on me again (what’s up with that??) but I politely said no thank you, wished her a good afternoon, and walked out — all the while she was just staring at me. So creepy.
BOTTOM LINE: Never Ever Going Back. You can save your Snotty Rodeo Drive Pretty Woman scene for inexperienced youths who will put up with it. My $$$ are going elsewhere.

Great lingerie store with an amazing staff! They will help you find something perfect for you. They have a great stock of everyday, affordable items to more expensive sets for a special night. It’s a small store so this is the kind of place that boyfriends and husbands can come along without feeling out of place or unwelcome.

Town shoppe here I come! I have been coming to LPC for a few years now but an officially never shopping here again. They are usually somewhat helpful and I’m in and out with what I need. Every time they emphasize their customer service and free alterations. Turns out when you go to take them up on the alterations (a hook broke one one bra and I wanted to get my strapless taken in a bit) they say that the bra is too old and that alterations aren’t possible if the bra was bought over 6 months ago. (Bras were both bought a year ago). Further, when you go in to drop them off they don’t tell you this is the policy or that they can’t alter them. They make you drop them and then they call to tell you they can’t be fixed and that you need to come back to get your bras!
It’s a real shame because this is a convenient location but I’ll go uptown for all of my lingerie needs going forward.

Shopping for lingerie can be stressful, but this place makes it fun and even enjoyable.
My friend and I came in here while taking her dog for a walk. She was looking for sexy underwear, and I was interested in their sale (I usually buy my underwear at T.J. Maxx). We both found exactly what we wanted. The staff was super helpful, and the store has such a friendly vibe. We are happy to have this place in the neighborhood!
