Great décor, amazing service, great food for the price. I had chicken and noodle soup, bread, which was an incredible combination of flacky on the sides and soft in the middle. Pretty decent beer too. My waitress Hannah recommended to get the bread with harissa, which was a definite WIN. Solid combination, especially if you like a little kick of spice for a light snack. They’re also generous with the harissa!

This is my favorite place for lunch in Tribeca, but you can’t appreciate how wonderful it is until you get Hannah(the figure skater from Illinois) as your waitress. She is the perfect blend of professional and personable, courteous and unobtrusive, charming and welcoming. At its best, LPQ feels like you’re eating in somebody’s living room. Hannah makes you feel like she’s the host, who is welcoming you into her home, and your home away from home. This kind of service is what makes everything else that LPQ gets right come alive: the hearty food prepared with a light touch, nuanced flavors and pairings of ingredients that are deliciously provocative without being jarring. All of these things make me want to each there under ordinary circumstances, but the kind of atmosphere that Hannah brings to the table is the magic sauce that makes it all come together in just the right way. Strongly recommended.

$ 15 for a fucking piece of dry bread with ham and cheese on top? They call it tartine. C’mon guys! I can make this for $ 3. They don’t even warm it up! So bad.

I had the farmhouse chicken salad. First, it should be called a farmhouse salad with chicken as I was expecting chicken salad. But the salad was tasteless — the chicken was so bland that it could have been anything. Too many greens and totally uninteresting.

I came here for lunch with a friend around 1pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant was not overly crowded and the customers thinned shortly after we ordered. Although there were seats available along the wall/windows, we were seated at a table in the middle of the room. We had wanted an alternative table, but the host essentially pointed us to the table and ran off before we had the chance to ask. We placed our order and received our food relatively quickly. However, the server brought me the wrong item and did not come back to check on us until I had already began eating. The food was also cold(I ordered a hot dish). The server and the manager came over to apologize for bringing me the wrong dish, and followed-up by asking if I was a vegetarian or had an allergy to the dish that was brought to me. When I said no, they did not offer to replace it and still included the item on our bill. They didn’t seem inclined to offer anything other than an apology for their mistake. After that point(which was approximately 15 mins. into our meal), the server didn’t return to our table once to check on us. I had wanted to order a coffee with my meal but didn’t have the opportunity because we couldn’t get a hold of the wait staff. We had to flag down the server in order to get and pay our check. Considering there was an abundance of wait staff for an only moderately busy restaurant, the customer service was appalling. I would not recommend this restaurant, nor would I dine here again.

I have to say that my favorite part of my visit to Le Pain Quotidien is the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant. The restaurant offers free Wifi. The food was great as was the service.

I keep going here because it is close to my apartment and one of the few places open before 11, but really need to kick the habit. The food is ok, not great. The service has, every time, been shockingly poor. There are always many waitstaff, and they all seem quick busy, but nothing seems to get done. Sometimes I just sit and marvel at it. If they are trying to be authentically French, then I would say they have surpassed anything I have experienced in Paris for poor service. Congrats.

Overall the place has a cozy feel, but way too pricy. Went in for a simple breakfast sandwich that was listed as $ 5.95 on their chalkboard, but was charged $ 9 because the same thing was listed on their menu for more?! It was literally a croissant with cheese and ham… nothing else.

Great cozy feeling TriBeCa location for coffee and pastries, spacious and large with a lot of seating. Enough seating/tables to work or meet people for conversation. Coffee is consistently good and tried a cheese/scallion scone which was interesting and also pretty good. Bathroom is huge and with a baby changing table — I don’t think I ever see these in NYC.

I came here for lunch at around 1:30 on a Monday. It was not that busy but the service was sparse. I had the the butternut squash soup which was too salty, avocado toast which was a bit too greasy, and the kale salad which was not good at all. The nut on the salad was flat, the whole salad was just not good. Then when it was time to get the check, our waiter was missing. I had to ask another and they had to go find him… I don’t think I will be coming back.

We needed a break after a long walk and this was the place that looked very inviting and relaxed. As a «boulangerie» we had to try the Croissant and the Pain De Raisins: both were amazing. My doubleshot Espresso was perfect too. Come in, relax, people watch and eat.

I have been eyeing this place for a while and finally decided to check it out. It’s a super cute restaurant with a living room feel. That community ambiance is definitely there with the large center table which sits over 20 ppl. The large center table is great if you need to work on a computer while eating. There are also tables to choose from. The menu is very clean which the world organic all over the place. I ordered the turkey with avocado tartini. It’s a slice of bread cut like pizza slices with turkey deli, avocado, sliced cucumber, sliced radishes, and arugula drizzled with a light Dijon mustard dressing. It was simply and delicious. I also ordered a mint lemonade. It did not taste fresh — I was expecting fresh squeezed instead it tasted like minute-maid. The price got me. The drink was on the high side so my simple lunch cost $ 20. Too pricey for what I ordered. Overall, the food tastes fresh but not the drinks. Pretty pricey for a small meal. Happy dining!

Terrible. Incredibly crowded and bad service. We literally sat there for 20 minutes without being greeted, served, or anything. In fact we had to seat and clean the table ourselves. We actually left because they didn’t want out money, clearly.

I frequent LPQs around the city and this one is by far the best. It’s the cleanest and has the friendliest and most helpful staff. Furthermore, the actual restaurant is very large and welcoming. Food is consistently fresh and delicious. All LPQs have a European vibe– and they do operate a little slower than that of most«fast food» or «quick service» restaurants. I like that it forces you to sit down, sip your coffee, and enjoy your lunch break. The new(I think, new) avocado toast is AH-mazing. Ask for a little smoked salmon on top and you’re good to go.

I had breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet. The food was good and the service was very friendly. You can order and go or you have to sit down and they will take your order. Overall i really enjoyed this place. My views expressed are of my own and are from my personal experience from this establishment but may not reflect this actual establishment or someone else’s experience at the establishment. Update: 07/06/2015 — I had breakfast here before a meeting. I ordered the soft boiled eggs and it was good. Unfortunately, I also ordered a latte with almond milk which was not good at all. In addition, the service was very slow this time but i believe there was only one person working. Next time im in the area i will try it again. Their hot chocolate is an embarrassment to all hot chocolate everywhere! When they first brought it to the table, I thought a mistake had been made. My sexy photog companion, tried to help me remain calm, but I was perplexed. If you order a large($ 5.75 I think), you get a huge mug of frothed milk and this little container of chocolate on the side. After realizing there was no mistake, I added the chocolate, but it barely made a difference. I requested more chocolate and quickly added it, but it still did not taste very good… and by the time the 2nd dose of chocolate arrived the milk was cold. I would certainly not order their hot chocolate again, as I really don’t think it is ready for prime time. I think they should rethink the recipe. I can’t imagine any chocolate lover liking it(and I’m not asking for some disgustingly sweet concoction, just a proper chocolate fix). FYI… Max Brenner extra thick dark Italian hot chocolate is what I compare all hot chocolate too; in my mind, it is the most outstanding HC ever made in the history of the world… so maybe my standards are high. On a positive note, great atmosphere and good service.

The servers were good and nice; however, coffee was definitely not hot enough when it first came out(was okay once I asked that it be reheated). I also had a chocolate twist, which was meh. My coffee companion, El Tigre Grande, had a hot chocolate which was more milk than chocolate(was okay once they brought the extra chocolate he requested… but by then it was cold). I did like the rustic feel of the establishment itself, but I will probably skip coffee and a sweet treat at LPQ in the future.

Time: Lunch Total bill: $ 15.84(sandwich $ 10 + cold brew coffee $ 4.6) My friend and I decided to get a bite to eat after school, and being that she has a few«dietary restrictions» she pick this place because of their coconut macaroons. Loves them. . The menu was easy to look over, nothing too overwhelming(you know there are places that have literally pages of stuff) Simple dishes. She informed me they use quality ingredients, and it shows in their ambiance and presentation. The place was busy, but nothing too crazy. The biggest concern I have for them would be their lack of quality service. It took us 20+ minutes to order our food, and another 20+ minute to get our check. We saw our server, at most 30 seconds top through the whole experience. 20 seconds for the order, and 5 seconds to drop off the check. She never checked on us. It was actually another male server who wanted to make sure we had everything. The price seems a tad high, but I get it. You’re paying for the quality of the ingredients they use and the overhead cost(rent, staff, etc). It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It’s…OK.

4 stars overall Food was very good. And the cheesecake was the best I had for a long time. Ambiance– really nice and cosy, enough room and not too crowded as many places in Manhattan tend to be. I rated 4 instead of 5 because I am picky when it comes to ‘packaging’. Being such a nice place, I don’t like when I receive my tea in a teapot with cracks on it and chippy. Also the guy that served us wasn’t paying attention, had to ask for more stuff and the check to someone else

I ended up here after being told I would have to wait 30 minutes for oatmeal at Jamba Juice. I didn’t want to go here because I knew how overpriced this chain tends to be but I took the train to get breakfast so I might as well take advantage of it. I walked in and remembered that I wanted to try the chia pudding last month. That little thing wasn’t going to hold me over so I also asked for a chia muffin which was $ 3.50. My total ended up being $ 10! Like how much was the pudding? Why wasn’t there pricing in the vicinity of the pudding? He asked if I wanted my receipt and I said yes foolishly thinking it broke down the pricing of my LIGHT breakfast and it basically told me what I already knew! That I was at Le Pain Quotidien, my credit card information and what I paid. So I rounded off the price of the chia pudding to 7 damn dollars. For that little jar. At least I got to keep the glass jar though –_– Why can’t you use paper/plastic bowls like everyone else? Even if you didn’t want to don’t pass those costs along to me. The set up of the register is also weird. Are you in line sir or are you just standing around looking stupid??? The muffin tastes like pumpernickel. I love pumpernickel, just not in my sweets and I have no idea what was in the middle of the muffin but I thought it was pieces of bacon. I was about to spaz. The chia pudding tastes like cinnamon-y celery and it smells like sweet pickles. I hate sweet pickles): I wish I would’ve went back to work after Jamba.
