This place is hit or miss depending on what you get. When you hit, you hit a home run. I would hands down give the Living Legend salad 5 stars — it’s a very creative salad with lots of herbs to spice it up even before the dressing gets put on. The protein add ons, I’ve tried lentil pâté and soy salmon, are really delish and compliment the salad very well. I missed on the peach cobbler smoothie and some coworkers reported that the Caesar Tempeh sandwich came in with soy sauce on it? Really strange. TLDR — Beware of the grenades in some of the dishes but once you find your dish, you’ll be hooked.

I order Leafage via Seamless. Delivery service is terrible! I have waited more than an hour for my delivery and they are extremely rude when you call to inquire. The delivery guy actually started screaming on the phone at me because he was an hour late and couldn’t find my office which is right in Times Square… I will never go through the frustration of ordering from this place ever again.

What a joke. I got the spicy lobster roll for $ 11, the description on Seamless read New England lobster. Just look at the picture of my order. Some pieces just had a carrot in it. Honestly, this was pathetic. I will never ever ever order from this place again. Be warned. There’s a reason they have such a horrible Unilocal review. Too bad there’s no zero star option. Oh yea, it also took them over an hour for this. Thanks for nothing.

The juices and smoothies here are usually fantastic BUT I’m a little upset with my order from last week. I ordered a Peanut Butter and Berry smoothie with coconut macaroons. I order this particular smoothie once a week and it’s generally fresh and high quality. Last week my smoothie was old. The berries were a strange texture. The color was slightly off. I could not finish this drink– it made my stomach hurt. I tried calling the restaurant 3 different times and never got an answer. I generally order ‘Leafage 2 – 3 times per week but I’m afraid after my last experience.

I ordered the Four Root Bisque(GF, Vegan) soup today, and was kinda nervous about it, especially since it’s bright magenta in color– but it was AMAZING! Crazy delicious! Here are the ingredients: Sweet potato, parsnip, beet, carrot, poblano chili, vegetable stock, rosemary, cayenne, maple syrup, thyme and sea salt. I will definitely have to get this again, and even get extra bread next time. I ordered the small, and it’s an enormous portion. I ordered this via grubhub delivery, and it’s a super cold day — and the soup arrived piping hot!

If you want a plastic container ¼ full containing 3 pieces of lettuce, 1 piece of meat and a small slice of carrot, then look no further. Oh and if you want it to take almost 2 hours for it to arrive, then you’ll simply love this place.

Ordered delivery and they stated 25 – 40 min delivery time. Lunch never arrived after over 90 minutes. I called 3 times. Each time I called I was given the runaround and the last time I called, I was put on hold for 25 minutes. Finally I was told that the delivery guy got into an accident. When he finally arrived I asked him if he was ok, and he said he was fine. Food wasn’t worth the wait. I will never order from them again.

DELICIOUS! Just had the steak salad, this place never disappoints! From the tender steak, amazing corn, the bread(OMG, if they just gave the bread I would be happy) to the warm popcorn, this place is amazing. Yes its pricey approx: $ 15 with tip, but its worth every penny. The servings are large and can be split, which is a plus. However, the cost keeps me from making this a daily spot. Try it — you will not be disappointed.

Ordered dinner and a Super Curious George smoothie from @leafagenyc and the smoothie was chock full of ground up plastic Saran Wrap… Beyond disgusted that a company would let this happen. Very bad quality control and completely irresponsible #leafagenyc Would also like to mention my friend ordered a salad and got horrible food poisoning. And yet another friend said she could tell the lettuce in her salad was unwashed because it was grainy/sandy… absolutely disgusting.

Ordered a grilled kale salad. Got a grilled kale salad with A LIVESNAIL inside the container. WTF?! Free popcorn, though.

I only order Leafage on Seamless; I’ve never been there physically. I like their quinoa bowls, but their Seamless-related service is stupendously bad. Upwards of 80% of the time I add any«extras» to the quinoa bowl, they just forget. E.g. deviled eggs, avocado, etc. I call, speak to the manager, and get interrupted and spoken to in an aggressive, stressful tone. Today, I ordered deviled eggs again, and I got the egg whites… empty, without the deviled yolk part… Or another example – they leave up on their Seamless the possibility of buying«natural» Kale chips, even though they only have Nacho-flavored. They’ve been warned about it, but they don’t get in touch with Seamless and they still leave it up. If only on Seamless, avoid it – not worth the stress and the hassle when you’re ordering.

There is no denying that food from ‘Leafage is extremely overpriced. But as someone else has mentioned, ‘Leafage caters to employees in Midtown who are not price sensitive so taking the price aside, I think the food is delicious. I got the customized salad with grilled kale and arugula as my greens. The bitterness of the kale and arugula balanced well with the sweet miso carrot ginger dressing, which is vegan and gluten-free. I chose the pan-seared duck breast and roasted soy glazed salmon as my proteins, and both were delicious! The duck breast was very tender and juicy, and almost tasted like beef filet. The salmon tasted buttery and I loved the sweetness from the soy glaze. Other veggies I added were alfalfa sprouts, avocado(they put ½ of the avocado), roasted brussel sprouts(they were more like steamed…), medjool dates(sweet and full of flavors), grilled onions, mango bits, grilled pineapple, and soy glazed shiitake mushrooms. I was very full with the salad. ‘Leafage also adds popcorn and a piece of Balthazar bread to every order.

Bottom Line: Save your money — there’s better value at Just Salad or even Chopt. First of all, my order cost $ 18.00, so as I hit send, I was prepared to be delivered the best salad of my life. This was not my experience. Their Seamless is really well-written, but the way they describe their ingredients is not really what you get. Instead of «roasted brussels sprouts» — which I expect to be soft, caramelized/browned maybe — were like steamed or whatever way your mom cooks them when you’re five and you don’t want to eat them. Instead of «agave-glazed walnuts,» which I expected to be sweet little nuggets of delicious crunch, I got about 3 walnuts from what tasted like a batch in an old bag of Costco bulk that has been left in the back of a closet for months. The grilled chicken was good, as was the avocado and grilled pineapple, but I couldn’t get past the fact that there were minuscule portions of salad ingredients tiredly sitting in an overwhelming sea of romaine lettuce. For these prices, I expected to be overwhelmed with ingredients. Leafage indeed — all you get are leaves of lettuce. The free bread and popcorn didn’t impress me. Like another reviewer said, I would have rather had more of the items I actually wanted in my order. I also think it’s just a little sketchy that they don’t have an actual store.

I just paid $ 17.50 for a very mediocre salad. It was full of onions and corn, which I didn’t order, and I hate onions. The toppings I did order were sparse and unexceptional. It was nice to get«free» popcorn but I’d much rather have had more of what I ordered and none of what I didn’t order or want.

My coworkers order from here frequently. I was catching a train to Boston and ordered a smoothie and salad to go last week. The food was high quality and tasty. The drawback is the price – it is geared toward people in midtown who aren’t paying the bill for their meals – and that stings a little when you’re actually paying. One suggestion is to ditch the Mason jars for the smoothies. I’d rather have a paper or plastic container and have the price drop by a dollar or two. Also I’d suggest losing the apostrophe at the start of ‘Leafage’s name. It makes it hard to find you guys on seamless.

high quality. had the miso salmon 3−4x in my salads. there’s something about not seeing a physical storefront that bugs me though… the free popcorn they always seem to include is a nice touch.
