Learning Tree

Love the location and the facility. The staff is always friendly, the instructors are competent, interesting, and engaging. Love the views, the free wifi, and the variety of courses.
Dislikes? The restrooms are a bit dank, and the refreshments leave much to be desired. Otherwise, it’s a stellar place.

My favorite training company in NYC. They have very informative training classes for your job, and I took so much benefit from their classes for a few years. They also work with great training instructors, even from oversea. Breakfast and snacks are offered every day. Highly recommended if you or your company wants you to really learn something! :) You get what you (or your company) pay for.

At my job, we typically receive training about two times a year. Learning Tree is a great place for training, whether at location, or via remote.
Not too long ago a course downtown for 4 days. Anybody who has ever attended a course here, will probably tell you they gained about 5 pounds that week.
They will feed you. Feed you again, and constantly feed you with pastries, cookies, brownies, chips and etc. It feels as though they will cook you at the end for the course.
The instructors are pretty good for the most part, and there would often be a helper incase the class has a large number of students. Also, if you are unable to make it on location for a class, their eLearning solution used (Adobe Connect) makes an online class a pleasure. However, it still does not have the same feel as being in class honestly.

I’ve taken a few Learning Tree courses as a request from my job. After taking a few classes, I feel that I’m able to fairly gauge Learning Tree.
If you love food, you’ll definitely like this place. There is a buffet breakfast in which there have a decent selection of food. Usually around 10:00am, most classes have a short 15 minute break in which most folks go for seconds on whatever is left. At around 2:00pm there is another break in which there are snacks out, which can vary from chip and dip to cookies.
While the place itself is good and presentable and the instructors are very knowledgeable, I’ve come to the realization that these courses aren’t for those who really wish to excel and gain the valuable in depth knowledge. The courses covers a broad overview of a topic which has plenty of exercises. So if you aren’t a fast learner or don’t care much to go in depth, Learning Tree is perfect for you.
However, if you’re a fast learner, want to learn more, you’ll want to kill yourself in these courses. In most of my classes during the group work, my partner and I finished rather quickly and we would literally wait 30 minutes to 1 hour for the next lesson to commence.
I personally crave for knowledge and I would have rather had training elsewhere so I can get full utilization of time. Other coworkers pretty much call attending a Learning Tree class a vacation from work.
Well, that’s my 2 cents about Learning Tree.

My third experience with this finely managed learning center sited on the tip of Manhattan Island giving one premium views of Battery Park and the harbor. The former Coast guard Headquarters on Governor’s Island, Ellis Island and Liberty Island are distinct and the Staten Island ferry shuttles from the Battery to Staten Island. Quite an experience on a bright sunny day.
I have used The Learning Tree at locations throughout the US and this particular NYC location is the best. The classrooms are spacious and fully set up with computer and projection services. Easels, chart paper and whatever one needs for a seminar, class or business meeting is readily available.
A very full breakfast buffet is set every morning with lots of pastries, hard-​boiled eggs, cheeses, bagels and lots of other breads. Coffee is available all day. In the mid-​afternoon an array of snacks are put out along with soft drinks. These are part of the package available to participants using the facility.
The tech people are there and very busy every morning and of particular note is Dwayne who has saved my bacon a number of times. I remember his, but am not taking away from the rest of the tech staff that are outstanding and wonderfully responsive.
The manager is on top of everything and sees to it that her staff are there to assist and make everyone happy. In the early morning there are people sitting at a large table labeled with all the activities going on that day. Participants register, get their welcome packages and are directed to their classrooms. Very efficient.
These services allow program leaders to concentrate on setting up and preparing their rooms without having to greet and accommodate participants until it is time to begin.
A very fine operation and I look forward to using it again.
