Let’s Go Driving School

I paid for and took the class. They would not give me a certificate. AVOID!

This business has lost there least and is not OPEN!!! I paid my money for 5 classes, my road test and 5 hour class. I took 1 class and my 5 hour course. I have been calling for weeks trying to make a appointment for the rest of my classes. My permit expires on ⁷⁄₂₁ and my road test is ⁷⁄₇ there’s no way I’m going to pass my test especially because this company was suppose to provide the car for my test. I’m very upset and I will be suing this company if I do not get a refund! This is crazy how they can take people money and just close down. There’s no room on the mailbox to leave a message nor is there any contact information listed on the website. on the VM it also states to send a text for a fast response… Yeah right!

I’ve been trying to call to schedule an appointment and I haven’t been able to get threw for days. Finally when the female owner answered, she said «can I call you back, I’m having lunch» not professional at all. And sure enough NO CALL. I still try to get in touch with someone and no answer.

Seriously Thy are known for lying, extremely rude, disgusting location, biggest excuse they don’t have anymore certificates… but what’s crazy is I came in on a Monday and was told they certificates would come Wednesday… and after your class you can come pick it up… well it’s going on 2 ½ weeks and I clearly missed my April 3 road test !!! and still being told the same bullcrap… Now the new excuse is «oh the certificates came in, but the instructor hasn’t signed them come Sunday!!!» And it’s Wednesday. I’ve never seen such unprofessional people in my life !!!

They don’t know the road rules. a bit of a worry for a driving school. I kept my mouth shut when they got things wrong because I know all the road rules & just wanted to get the certificate and get out of there (I’ve been driving overseas for 10+ years, previously held a license another US state and also studied the New York State road rules — plus I’m lawfully driving in NY at the moment on a foreign license). Others in the class decided to correct their misinformation, so it was amusing watching them explain why they thought otherwise. Most of the class consists of videos from the 70’s & 80’s (I’m not kidding), so the information in the videos is also outdated at times.
I guess you can’t really fault the school too much as it’s ridiculous that the DMV makes you take this when you’re an experienced driver — they should just make it a compulsory logbook of 30 — 50 hours for new drivers.
The least I would expect is for the school to know their stuff. To new drivers this misinformation can be extremely confusing and potentially dangerous.
The staff were pleasant enough and the instructor was very friendly. They didn’t have the certificates ready at the end of class as they were too busy with their U-​Haul business, so they asked the class to come and collect them another day. Most decided to wait around for them because who would really want to return another day.
If you’re taking this class just to get the certificate, then that’s fine, come along for the cheapest 5 hr class in Manhattan. If you are a new driver and actually want to learn, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $ 10 on a decent class mid/​downtown.
I gave two stars because they were friendly enough on the day and it was the cheapest around.

This place is a DUMP.
I went for the five hour class required to get a drivers license in NY. They put us in a windowless room in the back that seems as it wast last cleaned in the 90s. There was a filthy couch and a few lice-​infested chairs. A dog walked in the room at the beginning of the class. That might explain how dirty it was.
The ‘class’ consisted of a series of videos, the most recent one probably from the 80s (the videos themselves were so old that they had outdated and wrong information). I did not learn a thing. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
When the class was done, the instructor informed us that they had run out of certificates, but that we should come back next week because they were sure they would receive some (?). I asked to speak with the manager, since nobody told me I would not get a certificate, and they most definitively charged me anyways, but the manager was nowhere to be found. I asked if they could mail me the certificate, but this seemed to farfetched and complicated to them.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. On October 9^th I tried to go to the 5-​hour class. I arrived 15mins before the class started and the instructor was outside the location because the owner of the place (I wish I had her name) got her car broken and she was the only one with keys to open the building. Up to there it was reasonable and as decent people we understood and decided to wait. While we waited for her, the instructor gave us part of the class outside the location. We waited over 2hrs and the owner never showed up. During that time the instructor and one of us called the owner several times and she decided not to answer the phone. Still we were all told before we left that we would all get a signed certificate given that we stayed there and got most of the material. Next day, I called and spoke to the owner and she put all the blame on her instructor. She said she told the instructor to cancel the class. Never apologized and asked me to come back and take the class again. She was rude on the phone and even hung up on me. When I called back she put me on hold. Are you kidding me? She behaved extremely unprofessional at all times. She did not even offer a discount or even an apology. What about the time she made us waste while we waited outside for her for over 2hrs? The owner is not a serious and liable business person. There are plenty of other driving schools around the area so stay away from this one.

Horrendous experience at this location. Don’t go there and try not to deal with the mean and disrespectful lady at the counter. If I could leave no stars I would.
Terrible customer service and no organization. Avoid this place at all costs!

Great company great people need a fast road test they got it done for me quick and I got my license thank to them thank you

I give it one star because they look like they’re upgrading their stuff. Before they only had a 13 inch tube tv for the 5 hour class now they have a flat screen all there cars are about to break down ain’t not of them new. I took my driver course in their car and almost failed because of a break issue and the car made funny noises. Oh yeah and the driver was late. This place has a long way to go. I like the title of the place Lets go Driving that cool.

YAYY for Silverio!!! My Dad paid for my lessons, and Silverio was an amazing instructor. He was super patient, and taught me exactly what would be given on the road test. Not the best school, but Silverio is pretty darn great!

The 6 hour defense driving course is boring to death but the staff at Let’s Go seems very friendly yet professional. Maritza answers any questions you have with full attention. Steve (the manager I believe) was very helpful and attentive. These guys gets a nice flow of business, so they’re obviously doing a good job.

If I could give them no stars I would!!! THEY SUCK!!! Avoid this place, I received a gift certificate for driving lesson package and when I went in with my certificate the owner said it wasn’t valid b/​c i took long??? The gift certificate never stated a deadline. So basically my boyfriend lost his money! The package was a $ 525.00 driving package! I reported the to the better business bureau. the owner a lady is rude and just a nasty person she doesn’t speak proper English… DON’T GO HERE!
