The girls were friendly! However, way too pricey! I thought is was 30 a person so our bill would have been about 90.00 plus my 2 wines. Ticket was 200.00 for 3 people and only 2 wines!!! Potty humor, not teen or kid friendly, like mentioned. My biggest disappointment on our NYC trip. Sorry girls!

A fun time. All the ladies are gorgeous and talented and interact with the audience. Dinner was actually very good. Usually these dinner shows serve lousy food but this menu is decent and the drinks are great. It’s a really funny show and a good time.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and I have to say we had so much fun. Drinks are small and a bit expensive. The food was decent and enjoyable. The live shows are the best part of it all. Amazing how funny and engaged all the queens were. Will be coming back soon.

The four stars is only for the show itself. It was great! The host, Ginger Snapps I believe was her name, was hilarious. She had myself and my friends in tears from laughing so hard. Perfect entertainment for a Sunday brunch. Loved it. The food was awful. I had the salmon eggs benedict and I was only able to eat one. The sauce was very salty and the salmon had a weird taste. I was scared to eat the rest so I stayed hungry. The pitchers of drinks were free flowing and my friends said the bloody marys were sooooo much stronger than the mimosas. Overall, great place for entertainment, not for food… or service.

Best place ever! We came on a Wednesday evening and on a Sunday brunch and both days Gingersnapt was our host and she was phenomenal. Hilarious, vulgar, very quick witted, you laugh from beginning to end. She picks a bit on people, maybe on you and its hysterical. The musical performances are awesome, the costumes pretty cool and the food is surprisingly good! The wait staff is very kind and helpful, we had a fantastic time both times and I would happily go every night Gingersnapt is on! Woot woot!

My face hurt from laughing and smiling for so long. These Queens deserve crowns for flawlessly managing tables of drunk, rowdy women, for finding the energy to perform insane numbers that rival the USA Gymnastics team, and for the time it must take to put themselves together every day! Jeesh! I’m exhausted just considering their lives. We arrived at Lips 30 minutes late for our reservation and looking like drowned rats, thanks to a surprise rainstorm during our walk from Times Square. We had called ahead to let them know we were running late, and they handled us well. They ushered us into our table and made sure to have us order ASAP so we could eat before the show. Our group of 8 shared two appetizer platters(we were only going to order one but were advised to order two, and we definitely needed both). Our salads were fine, nothing special. The entrees were HUGE. I had the tilapia and it was not only cooked to perfection but it was more than enough for two. If I wasn’t boarding a train right after dinner, I would have asked for a to-go box. My friends gave mixed reviews of their food — I guess some of it was passable, while others loved it. We were all surprised with how good it was for such a touristy/destination restaurant. The dessert came at the very end of the show and needed to be eaten in a rush before the next seating, and it wasn’t anything special. I wish we could have left it off and gotten a discount on our meals. We were a little surprised with the end cost. For the amount we were spending, and the fact that 6 of the 8 people in my group drank multiple drinks/shots, I was shocked that we were charged for pitchers of soda($ 10/pitcher!!). My prix fixe $ 34.95 meal and my portion of the bachelorette’s meal ended up coming to $ 80 with tax and tip somehow. I would suggest that you pre-game and just order water. I was also a little surprised that they encouraged giving the performers $$ as they came by. They were getting tips for their table service and for their performances and I felt it was a little much(although I did tip almost all of them since they were hilarious and very talented). It was kitschy but really well-done. I would go back, especially now that I know what to avoid!

This was my first time at a drag queen show. Definitely won’t be my last. Fabulous. Fabulous. Fabulous. My friends and I had an amazing time here 97% due to the show, 3% due to food. Highly recommend you don’t take teens under 18, definitely not appropriate. The show is geared towards a more 21+ type of crowd. Yes, there actually was a 16yr old sitting there and lets just say the jokes were not appropriate for 16yr olds. Lol. Gingersnap was our host and she’s superb and hella funny. All the Queens are very talented and super entertaining. A great experience for birthdays or Bachelorette parties. Go! Go! Go! Con: Food isn’t great. I had the mamma mia(omelette with house fries); fries were pretty good, but omlette was too dry and not all that great in the taste department. Two of my friends had the chicken penne which they liked. Another friend had the chicken burger which was left uneaten because of the dry bun and how hard the chicken was. buuuuut the show was totally worth it. So, we weren’t too upset by the mediocre food. The food, drinks, tip, and tax included boiled down to about $ 40 per person at a table of 4.

What an amazazingly ABENANERMIN awesome spectacular birthday I just had at lips last night!!! My queen is Starla she’s sooo sweet and bitchn lol I love her!!! She complimented my birthday gown which is a Vera wang I bought a David’s bridal(which she was shocked to hear that Vera wang makes dresses for David’s bridal lol!!!) that I had added tulle to the back(which is rainbow for gay pride) and on the sides(right side has tulle in the color order of the gender fluid pride flag and the left has tulle in the color order of the pansexual pride flag) which I’m totally going to wear to the pride parade this year and they all loved my faerie wings that light up green which I accually wear every where I go cause I’m the 12th faerie(I’m otherkin identifying as faerie and mermaid: D) It was my 34th birthday and Starla made me feel as if I was a queen like she is which is a dream come true cause the male aspect of my soul loves to dress in drag but since my body is female I thought I’d never be on stage with real queens!!! And last night I got to be!!! I wish I could have performed with them but that would be in another time I guess lol Starla though was truly wonderful!!! When we as people celebrate our birthdays came to the front to be on stage the gave them all brownies with candles lol but Starla passed me to go back stage and said«oh you’re our special one!» And I said«lol that what my mama says!!!» And then she hands me this huge cupcake with a green candle in it!!! It said happy birthday and the number 12(for I’m the Seahawks 12th faerie lol) and I was all how did she know about me and the number 12!!! And then I was all Jerry!!! My husband is the best lol and that’s when Starla started conversing with me about my dress :) Then I went on stage with two other queens and they talked with me a bit and then lit my candle(pun intended lol) and they took my picture!!! Best birthday ever seriously and I’d have to say the food wasn’t bad either lol we had all appetizers which is accually what we as a family usually order when we are all together lol We had the chicken fingers and pot stickers(which were good but would have been even better with accual pot in them like I would have gotten where I’m from in Seattle lol) and coconut shrimp which paired with the spicy sauce was to die for lol I know people bitch about the food there but if you know that is not the best in the world going in you will actually be pleasantly surprised when you get your food and realize it’s really not half bad lol And my drink was an apple martini which was very green and classy!!! Lol I loved it and actually got a nice buzz from it and I only had one lol good stuff Maynard lol!!! Like I said I love my queens and I’m going to be back for my mother in laws birthday and my best friend said she would take me there for my bacholrette party lol Which yeah I know I’m married but we were accually supposed to have our wedding yesterday as well but because of my mental health(PTSD due to MST) we had to cancel a few months ago cause I got admitted :(but these queens made my night the best ever way better than anything some stuffy Long Island wedding venue that would have cost us our arms and legs and first borne lol so we are having our wedding at deception pass in Washington state where I’m from :) Thank you to my queens y’all are so wonderful sexy bitchy fierce!!! Uhg I can’t get enough and can’t wait to come back!!! I love ya!!! Mcl and blessed be xoxo!!!

Fantastically fabulous place to eat whether you’re celebrating an engagement, birthday or it’s just a Saturday. The girls are pretty freakin’ hilarious but make sure you can take a joke. Everything is said«tongue in cheek.» Get there on time. If you come late, you’re going to either miss the show or miss out on time to eat. It’s a pretty tight schedule. The food comes pretty quickly so don’t expect to wait around for your meal. The show is really entertaining. Most of them lip sync but occasionally there is live song. Everyone is really outgoing and you’re free to take pics with all the girls. The best waitresses I’ve had were Madiva(who is a Madonna impersonator) and All Beef Patty. Can’t say enough good things about these girls. Hilarious and really friendly. I’ve seen Sweet 16’s up to women in their 80’s celebrating birthdays. Lots and lots of bridal showers going. Not as gay as you would expect but you’ll get the occasional couple celebrating an anniversary or there with their hag. Go and have a great time.

I have been to Lips twice, once for a birthday brunch, the other for a bachelorette dinner. *****I do not recommend going here unless you are going for a celebration.***** The broadway themed brunch is great, the entertainment was top notch. My only thing is that they did some kind of obscure broadway songs. I was a theater arts major, so luckily im super cultured and smart and stuff, but I think updating their set list would be helpful. We all chipped in and paid the extra $ 20 or so for my friend, the birthday boy, to get pulled on stage and have dirty things said to him. Well worth it. The drinks were not that strong and were not refilled that often, making me believe that the bottomless wasnt really worth it. The food was eh. Same with when I went for dinner. The food was eh, the drinks were eh. So why 4 stars? Because I have come up with the perfect strategy for your lips going that makes it worthy. Step 1: Make a reservation for the 5pm Saturday show Step 2: Attend a nearby boozy brunch at like 2pm nearby Step 3: get wasted at said brunch(or drink to your comfort level) Step 4: Go to Lips Step 5: Order only main course dinner, no alcohol Step 6: Enjoy the show :) That, my Unilocal friends, is a perfect Saturday celebration.

Tonight I went to lips with some coworkers and had a blast!!! First, let me get the negative out of the way… I didn’t like the food. No one I was with liked the food for that matter but I can only speak for myself. I had the breaded chicken with veggies and potatoes the veggies were decent but the chicken was ultra dry and the potatoes had 0 taste. For the price(not cheap), the food should be good. But a positive, the drinks are yummy! Also, the service is good. The draw h queens performing are also the servers and they joke with you while taking your orders. Now, the show itself if GREAT! The song performed are a mix of older classics, new songs and some hilarious songs that I’ve never heard of(mostly sexual of nature). The drag queens dance with some of the audience and it’s all in good fun. If you’re going to a drag show, you have to expect a little edginess. They can get a little feisty with their jokes, they joke on the audience.

I am disappointed that I have to write this negative review especially since in the past I’ve had some good experiences. So we had a reservation for the 11:30pm «x-rated dirty show» and we arrived at 11:15pm and the place was packed! The other show was still in full effect and the lobby SMALL waiting area was so packed as well. We waited a long time and were not seated till 11:50pm and out by 1am. Ok service, hmmm we had Starla as our waitress and she was cool, funny I liked her for the most part. What I did not like was that at the end of the show they tell customers that the tip is not included, ok got it, well, Starla not only repeated it once or twice but three times. There’s no need for that. Not only is it tacky but it’s very unprofessional and makes you, well at least it made me uncomfortable. Ok so our table was literally a red, plastic tablecloth with 2 white napkins and a fork, that’s it. We get our drinks and order dinner and I swear it was out in less then 5mins. I ordered the penne a la vodka and asked for cheese which never came out. I felt so rushed. And it was even good. The show ugh, it was mediocre, frankly I was very disappointed by it. It was rushed, amateur and boring. They took more time posing with those celebrating their birthdays and bachelorettes then on the show itself. The hostess was great!!! I will say she was awesome and funny. Her part was hands down my favorite of the night, Damn I can’t remember her name but she was covering for someone else. Now this is suppose to be the x-rated, dirty show and hmmm there was nothing dirty about it, the hostess did sing a song about being f*cked which was great and hilarious but that’s about as dirty as it got. Just a ehh experience. Honestly, it fell very short of my expectations. I don’t see myself being back. The entire experience was short, rushed and expensive.

My coworkers and friends took me here on a Friday night for my bachelorette celebration it was amazingggggg to say the least. Not for those who don’t have a sense of humor or don’t know how to loosen up. Drinks were amazing the blow job shots were the best thing ever!!! Prices weren’t that bad crowd was amazing also. I truly enjoyed it. Perfect spot for a ladies night or celebration wish the show was a little longer we had a ball.

I did not know what to expect, so I read a few of the reviews. Dinner was not bad, the performances were good and they have lots of audience participation. We placed bingo, I laughed so hard until I almost busted a gut. We had a group of 8 with reservations. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and this is where she wanted to come. The drinks, yes, very much on point. I say come check out the review and see for yourself.

Party of eight(8). What a way to say farewell to 2015., bringing in the New Year 2016 @ LIPS. Arriving early. We were allowed to enter and awaits by the bar prior to our seating reservation called by their hostess. Kindly made our way towards the bar and immediately introduced friendly staffing and customer’s chatting about the decorations and their vision creating a festive New Year’s atmosphere @ Lips. At the bar I ordered Vodka n’ club soda, while we waited for our name to be called. Once seated you see all kinds of things to wear as the old year ends., New one begins. Since this was an prefixes menu. I ordered: Crab Cakes., which were breaded lightly and seasoned. Sauce added great placement on its presentation. Ordered: Stuffed chicken breast with spinach and steamed baby asparagus. Finally for dessert I Ordered: cheesecake. During my prefixed meal. I also ordered two(2) keepsake shot glasses of kamikaze @ 10.00 each. They were strongest compare to the Vodka from the bar. Lol. LIPS ~ DRAGQUEEN experience on New Year’s Eve. Well. just speechless how each individual reflects impersonators performances. When they come off the stage… Baby let me tell you something. Get your Singles ready!!! LIPS was high in energy, crowd participants were on overdrive, interactions among the guest with each performer and each other were truly a Kodak moment. Especially enjoy their moments during the show where they acknowledge birthday, anniversary, engagement and so forth. Great spot for any occasion or just because. Happy New Years @ LIPS

What a drag-nificent time! My group of 5 enjoyed our night at Lips! We made reservations for the 11:30pm «Dirty Show». There are other shows like Bingo and Karaōke, but we chose the raunchy one. Lol. Anyhow, the queens were awesome. The fill-in hostess was by far the BESTPERFORMER! She performed to Rihanna’s «B@#ch better have my money@ and the audience went wild. She cleared the most tips of the night. Almost every table tipped her. The others could learn a thing or two about performance value from her. Overall, out of 4 performers, I enjoyed 2. The food was good tonight. I read all the bad reviews & was a little apprehensive but $ 250 in drinks & appetizers later & I’m a happy camper. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that they added an extra $ 60 fee to our bill & expected us not to notice. Admission on Saturday night is $ 12 per person. There were 5 of us. They charged us $ 60 twice until I alerted the server. Be sure they don’t charge you twice for admission. My suspicion is they expect you to be drunk enough not to notice. Drink recommendation: Frozen Cosmo or Blue Margarita Food recommendation: Spinach dip & garlic cheesy bread

Excellent Service!!! I took my Cousin here for her BDay and she really enjoyed herself. The drinks were on point, Thanks to Frankie Cocktail, the bartender. The food was alright. Our waiter, Melinda was the Bomb! The place is small, the ambiance is nice, the show itself was very entertaining, if you want to go out and have a good, gut busting laugh, this is your spot. Oh, we lucked up and found a park right in front of the club for $FREE.99!!! Most parking garages are $ 46./4hrs which is ridiculous.

The show is incredibly fun but food and drinks are pretty awful. I came here on a Friday night for my sister’s birthday. We made reservations for a party of six. First, let me just say that the show was a blast! It started around 10:15pm and lasted over an hour and a half more/less. It’s funny, glamorous, lively and will keep you entertained. I loved every second of it. Five stars! The showgirls are also the waitresses so you’ll be tipping them at the end of the night. The cover was $ 12 per person which they include in the tab. I highly recommend this place for a fun girls night but stick to appetizers if anything. Most of us ordered the Shrimp Alfredo($ 22). None of us were able to get halfway through our plate! I could tell the shrimp was frozen and way too fishy. The pasta was bland and lacking in flavor. We barely touched it. The garlic bread was extremely salty and calamari was mostly just breading. The cocktails average around $ 11 but were weak. I tried to switch over to white wine for my second drink but that was a disappointment as well(very flat). The food was 1 star but the atmosphere was 5 stars! I would like to come back here at some point but definitely never eating there again. They need a new chef and improve on their recipes. Pregame elsewhere then come here! Fun time but wish we hadn’t wasted so much money on crappy food.

Lips is a New York institution. It’s an amazing place with amazing people. It’s more than a bunch of sassy drag queens; it’s a place where people can be themselves. I’ve gone at least 10 times and have always had a great time. Sometimes I have dinner on the main floor and am in the middle of the show; other times I relax at the bar and make sassy comments with the bartender. In all instances, I walk away happier than when I arrived. Thank you for your hard work and for the joy you bring to your patrons.

While in town recently, we visited Lips on a Sunday night — the crowds are much smaller on Sunday. The food was good and the portions were HUGE — I would suggest splitting an entrée with someone. The entertainment was great and the emcee did a nice job of making sure that everyone had a great time. It was a very fun Sunday night adventure.

We made plans for the Broadway Brunch for our friend’s bachelorette party, based on recommendations from another friend. I’ve been to drag shows at clubs and once for a dinner show, so I had an idea of what to expect. What I wasn’t expecting was for the food to be good; I figured we pay for the show moreso than the quality of food. It was a pleasant surprise. I had the salmon eggs benedict(called the Sister Act on the menu), and our entire group opted for bottomless mimosas for only $ 6 extra. The mimosas are delicious and someone came by impressively fast to make sure the pitcher stayed full. For $ 10 you can order a shot that comes in a novelty shotglass shaped like lips. They’re for taking home ! The decoration is really fun without being trashy. Chandeliers hang from the walls, and lots of the decoration makes it feel Alice in Wonderland themed. The show is tons of fun and the girls are so talented and pretty. For $ 15, we paid to have our bride to be go on stage, take a shot, and get a picture with Ginger Snap in an Annie costume. She was given a tiara to wear the entire time, and got to take that home in addition to the light up shot glass her drink came in, and a printed photo with a nice frame. For the food, entertainment, and take home souvenirs, we felt like we got a great deal out of the cost. Our group of girls are already trying to come up with another excuse to return, whether it be the next girl in line to get married, a birthday, or even just a quadruple date where we return with our significant others. Since we did the brunch, we’d try one of the night shows next time.

This was a fun, cute night out — but after seeing some real NYC shows like Kinky Boots and drag shows in Vegas and San Francisco, this was a mediocre one… at best. The drag queens are adorable, but instead of putting on a show of any kind, they just walk around to music, demanding tips. It was awkward, and honestly almost felt like beggars pressuring you into giving money. Also, if you’re not celebrating a birthday, they will completely ignore you and your table. I guess people celebrating occasions pay a bit extra, so they pay attention to them, and not to anyone else. To top if off, the food and drinks are thoroughly mediocre. Do not eat here. Go elsewhere beforehand. If you’re going to come here, just know what you’re in for. A cheesy, fun, boozy night with mediocre, expensive alcohol. And bring lots of singles. Because you will feel awkward when the drag queens walk around and you have no tips to give them.

There’s no way you can’t like a night out here at this New York drag cabaret dinner theater. Came here with a large group for a birthday party and the staff did a great job with service. Yes, the food sucks, the drinks are watered down and it’s very expensive, but the show is the real reason to come. These queens are sassy, funny, do great impersonations and are very talented. You’ll have a great laugh. We had a great time.

My wife and I came here Sunday for Brunch and had a great time ! Brunch is $ 21.95 each and the names of each meal is named after a broadway show… Mama mia, Cats, Les miserable… etc. Upon entering, the décor was very nice and clean and the ambiance is very comfortable. This adds to your experience. Your seated and they give you the menu. Food comes out fairly quick and is good. The show begins after everyone is almost done. Drag queens go up on stage one act at a time and they do their lip sync routine. They do a nice job, but Ginger spice, really does the show !! Gingers humor and comedy is outstanding and will make you laugh. Brunch will come with your choice of a mimosa or bloody mary. They offer you a special of unlimited drinks for $ 6 extra. My wife and I are not drinkers so we just took the one drink offer and total bill for us was only $ 47.90 Not bad for the city and 2 hours of entertainment. We left after done and the time was 2:15pm Return? Yes ! I would definitely go back again and recommend this place for all. I don’t know what their evening show is like with their meals and prices but it may cost more.

*This review is based on my «Broadway Brunch» experience. It’s a drag show — you’ll either like it, love it, or hate it depending on your preferences and taste in humor. As for me, I’m open to anything that is intended to make me laugh, so I personally had a great time with my large party of 14(but then again we also opted for the unlimited mimosas/bloody mary’s ^_~). — — — WHATISBROADWAYBRUNCHINLIPS? A drag show where you have Sunday brunch while the cast lip synchs musical Broadway numbers(but OH! They were executed so well to the point where I found myself contemplating as to whether they are actually singing live). — — — HOW’S THEBRUNCHSELECTION? Average, or rather, very«traditional». If you prefer to have very safe dishes, eat here. Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary — except that they named their dishes after Broadway Musicals such as «Cats» for Ham & Cheese Omelet, «Mary Poppins» for Buttermilk Pancakes, «Hairspray» for Cheeseburger, etc.(if you stretch your imagination, perhaps the correlation will make sense… somewhat…maybe…). ===Dishes: — «Sister Act» — Salmon Benedict(Traditional eggs benedict with smoked salmon): Pretty good and delightful to eat. However, the potatoes were so salty! — «Wicked» — Eggs Benedict(Poached Eggs and Canadian bacon on English muffins with hollandaise): Not bad. I recommend the salmon over the egg benedict. — «Les Miserables» — Grilled Chicken Sandwich(with lettuce, tomato, and pesto mayo. Served with fries): Okay; comparable to fast food. ===Pricing: Each dish is $ 21.95 and includes a complimentary glass of Mimosa or Bloody Mary. You can upgrade to «Premium Drinking» with unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for an additional $ 6. Note that Premium Drinking is an all or nothing deal, either the entire table participates or nobody gets the deal. — — — EXPERIENCE/VENUE: My friend made a reservation for a big group of 14 a week in advance, and we were given«orchestra» seating — right in the center, upfront by the stage(I don’t know if it’s due to how early we booked the show)! Being that we were right in the center, we were naturally part of the host’s jokes. Most of our party arrived around 11:50am that Sunday, and we were seated promptly at noon. The venue is dark(no windows) with lots of sparkle, disco-lighting, red colors and«leg» décor. It definitely gave off a fun, «Friday-night» vibe. ===Birthday Package: We bought a birthday package for an extra $ 15 which was marketed by our server as a «chance to humiliate and embarrass the birthday girl», so we figured why not? Lol. As a result of this, the birthday girl was given a crown, brought on stage twice, received a birthday cake with one candle and a picture souvenir with the host, cake and crown on stage. The cake could’ve been a little more moist and a little sweeter. — — — WOULD I COMEBACK? It was fun. Why not? They also have different themes depending on the day, such as karaōke night and bingo night, which I’m curious to experience.

Giving my whole experience a 4.5! I had the pleasure of celebrating my bachelorette party here and it was so worth it! So much fun! The Drag Queens are awesome and definitely will put on a great show for you that includes singing, dancing, and raunchy jokes! Warning: You have to have a good sense of humor to go to LIPS. Do not be afraid to be called a Bitch! Haha! Because you will likely be called that, amongst other things, but in a loving and friendly way! You are there to have fun and you definitely will! Especially if you are the center of attention(i.e. it is your birthday or something). The service is friendly, and you get a crown too if it is your special day. You’ll also be asked up on stage so please, enjoy! I got to do a shot on stage, on the house! haha! The only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars is because the food is just OK. Yummy, don’t get me wrong, but nothing I would rave about. I had the salmon which was well cooked(moist) but I just thought it needed a bit more seasoning. The same goes for the rice and vegetables. But really, LIPS is a super special place, and I recommend you go if you haven’t already! I will definitely be back!!!

I like LIPS so much, I had to have my bachelorette dinner here. I actually really like the drinks and the food is pretty decent but the true experience comes from the performances. The drag queens are so talented and funny and EXTREMELYSWEET. I have never had a bad time here and appreciate the humor and the«don’t take yourself too seriously» mentality. This is NOT a good place for the uptight.
