You absolutely can’t go wrong with a regular slice from here– it’s one of the best in NYC. The crust is FANTASTIC– a must have!

Never fails. Pizza is always amazing at a great price. Love when I am around union square and can grab a slice here. Whether it’s late night or for lunch I am never disappointed

2 slices and a fountain drink for $ 5. What more can you ask for? The pizza is good. Appropriate amount of cheese and sauce and has a bottom that is sprinkled with bread crumbs which is a really nice touch. You can definitely tell the difference between the pizza here and dollar pizza for example at two bros and percys or whereever. They have all of the standard condiments available plus ranch and hot sauce! Overall great experience and you can’t go wrong with coming here

The pizza was fine — it certainly wasn’t great, and lacked flavor. But, the crust was solid, and if it was prepared right, there’s something decent there. The sauce is sugary, so it will never be authentically great. The place itself is old, and it’s visibly dirty. $ 7+ for two slices seems quite overpriced for the product. What drops this place to a 2-star is the same thing everyone else is screaming about. The people who work there are just plain mean. Angry little elves they are. The cashier tried to charge an elderly woman $ 2 for a cup of tap water, then yelled at her to «sit down». It was alarming, and mean-spirited. Boo these guys.

BEWARE this place is homophobic and racist! They would not serve my friend because they said they’re not gay and won’t take a transsexual’s money! Their pizza sucks anyway and the TALL European man is a pig! He refused to serve us and told us to leave the shit hole restaurant. They threatened to call the police and said to leave and they wouldn’t accept our money because«I’m not gay and I don’t want your fucking money» PLEASE don’t give them your business!

3.5** Delivery sucked — he came with a cart and refused to carry it down the stairs without the cart. The crust was very interesting; I’m not sure if it was on purpose as a cool twist to a regular crust but it was definitely different. The crust had tiny crunchy pieces and it didn’t taste like a regular oven pizza since it leaned toward the chewy side. I had the spinach pizza and the assorted veggie pizza. I loved the spinach pizza and not so much of the veggie pizza. The veggie pizza was full of vegetables, which is always great, but the balance with the sauce and cheese was off. The spinach pizza was spot on though; the crust was chewy and crispy, the base of the cheese with the spots of cheese and spinach synced perfectly. I think the spinach pie would still taste good cold.

I’m a pizza snob and I have to say that their pizza is amazing and true to New York. It’s worth what you pay for it. I hate dollar slices, those types of chains water down what it means to have a good slice of pizza in the city. They use a great amount of cheese and a tasty sauce. There’s some sorta trick they do with the dough. I’m assuming they use panko under the pie instead of cornmeal which actually make the pizza crunchier without it being so stiff. That inspires me to do the same when I make my own pizza at home. This is the type of place I want tourists, and visitors to have pizza at so that they know how we do pizza. It’s simple, but not many places get it right. It doesn’t help that most claim to be the best pizza in the city. My only complaint is that they seem a little disorganized, but idk what these other people have to bitch about this place. It’s super casual and ain’t nothing fancy. Don’t expect a seat and don’t expect the pizza to be fresh late at night. Some girl even said she’s not picky and loves all kinds except this place. She obviously has terrible tastes and I wouldn’t trust her judgement. I’m a home chef, foodie, pizza snob and I say this place delivers the taste. see my Instagram @sandy_dex I know food.

Pizza is good. Loved the crunchy crust. It’s that worked there were pretty friendly to both my friend and I. I ordered two cheeses and a drink for $ 5. My friend was super happy with her choices. Her slices were $ 2.75 each with a bunch of toppings. I didn’t think that the guys who worked there were rude at all. They were pretty nice to us. Of course, they were all smiles and giggles, but they were cool and down to earth.

my friends and i call this place«misogyny pizza» and it is awful. the man who works there at night(tall, 40s, very very short greyish hair, threatening, misogynistic) is the worst person i have ever met. he really hates women. he constantly is making violent remarks about his wife, and disgusting comments about women in general. he is frightening and frankly revolting!!! he hates women and talks about the importance of virginity and how women are subhuman. also the pizza here is mediocre at best. i’ve unfortunately eaten my fair share. it’s the closest pizza place to my apartment and i refuse to ever support them again, i would rather walk 4 blocks to another place.

Don’t hate. Think this is the best«cheap» pizza in all NYC area. The crust is ridonculous! Guys working can be a bit intimidating but are actually cool if you take a second to say hello.

Pizza was dry and the cashier was extremely rude to me and my boyfriend. Will never eat here again. Hawaiian pizza was okay so I can’t give 1 star but this place is nothing special. Somebody take down their«best in New York» sign they proudly display inside.

Great Little casual pizza place by union square with good pizza, great service. Service was quick and friendly. Extra star for honest employees: I brought my son and his friend here for a quick slice of pizza … My son left his brand new coat there; they picked it up and saved it for us during a busy time and held onto it for 2 days. In union square area NYC, how great is that. My son doesn’t really like pizza lately but he ate his full plain slice the first visit and asked for another when we returned to pick up his coat. I had a veggie slice the first time and a tomato mozzarella slice the second– both good and w a crispy crust. The seating is limited, so it’s good for a quick slice on the go or you’re ok sitting w others. I told my son to sit at a vacant table while I ordered the pizza and when I brought the pizza to the table he was sitting across from a guy. I thought my son sat at the mans table and apologized to him for my son intruding… asked if he wanted them to move– only to find out after the man left it was he who sat down directly across from my son ha. Oops. Not spacious but again good for a quick slice on the go. And honest employees who take care of my sons coat — I will definitely go back just for that — even if I have to stand: D

Went in and I was the only customer and the guy was in a hurry to give the the pizza. When I paid him he grabbed the card from my hand and practically threw the receipt at me. I’m in the store inside as I am writing this. Another person came in the store and the employee fought with him as well. DONOTCOMEHERE. Or at least once this poor customer service changes. I AMDISAPPOINTEDATTHESERVICE.

The guy was extremely rude. I asked him to change his gloves and he told me «I don’t change my gloves for no body.» I explained to him I don’t eat pork and he just touched pepperoni he said if I didn’t like it I could leave. I asked for his name he didn’t give it. This is the rudest person I have ever met

Horrible pizza, really the worst pizza, like just disgusting. Also really expensive. Staff is rude and obnoxious. overpriced fountain soda machine didn’t have water or seltzer, asked for water was told they only had bottled, wouldn’t fill the cup i paid for with water, also wouldnt take it back. Basically dont go here unless you hate pizza, yourself or your date.

I love pizza. LOVE. I have a pizza tattoo on my arm. I like all pizza. I’m not picky. . or so I thought, until I came here. The pizza looks extremely old. Even when heated up, the cheese still looked stale and hard. There was this weird powdery cornflake stuff all on the bottom of the slice. It was also oddly sweet??? Like, the sauce. Ew? It was gross. Now I feel sick. My friend also didn’t like it. This is the worst pizza I’ve ever had. My hot pocket from last night better.

Good variety of pizzas for a small, no-frills place. And to be honest, I would give it 2 stars if it wasn’t for the variety and the reasonable deals. Garlic knots are oily goodness and the Sicilian slices look great. I got the $ 5 lunch special of two cheese slices and 20 oz. drink. Let’s be real, I ate it all but at that last bite, I decided the crust wasn’t to my liking. The cheese and sauce are fine but the crust is bumpy and has a texture more like sandpaper than pizza crust. So given that, I probably won’t be back. Though that deal is hard to pass up, so who knows.

For $ 3.50 a slice it was pretty good. In my last day of working in NYC I had some time to kill and get in on some local flavor and culture. I chose here to see how NY pizza is different from the rest of the US. The crust on this pie was on point. Crispy yet airy… I will be back to try this place when I come back in the near future.

Little Italy Pizza NY Manhattan Union Square 3pm Thursday 23rd April 2015 Four Stars There were plenty of pies on the display. I decided on the Tomato with fresh Mozzarella. It costed $ 3.50 and took a bit longer than other slices to heat but it was worth it. The thin crust was crunchy. The sauce was flavorful. The cheese slid off. The tomatoes were fresh and delicious.

If I was served a slice of this caliber at a dollar-slice pizzeria I would have good reason to complain, so getting an over-done, over-greasy, mediocre slice for 3x the price here is just silly. Pizza in NYC should be at least either really good or a dollar, if not both. The only reason this pizza costs more is because of its location. So let’s save these pizzas for students who haven’t learned to be discerning with their tastes or their wallets, eh?
