My favorite place in the East Village. Not only is the food delicious authentic Mediterranean, but the energy is very inviting and excellent music to go along with the vibes. Make sure to ask for Davide, excellent service and he will make sure you and your friend have a good time.

This restaurant is an example of the very best that the east village has to offer. From the very beginning the outdoor seating and ambiance invite you in. The cocktails and wine selections make this a great spot for drinks with friends and the stellar food makes for an unforgettable dinner destination. The staff is attentive, the chef is out of this world, and the owner Shay truly knows the meaning of hospitality. Local92 is always my go to venue when entertaining friends, guests from out of town, or for a relaxing night with great food And drinks. Please do yourself a favor and stop in.(And check out the lavender negroni!)

Happened upon this place during happy hour. Good food, the sangria was nice, but it seemed a little too weak on the wine. I ordered the ceviche app and while tasty and very fresh, the bread was a tad stale underneath the buttery toastedness, which was unfortunately distracting to the delicate raw fish topping. It’s a little too expensive in my opinion outside of happy hour, but nice atmosphere and friendly waiters.

Such an amazing little Israeli /Mediterranean restaurant… Been to a few others Israeli restaurants, but nothing compares to this venue! They have quite decent happy hour specials and good drink selections(some brands from Israel too, which is amazing)… food itself has a great variety and some unique dishes! We came with a large group and the staff was very accommodating — appetizers took a while to arrive, but the taste of the food and fun atmosphere made everything better!

Fantastic for large, loud, semi-belligerant groups. I’m sure it’s great for other things as well, but they crushed that cohort.

Davide ran our table of 20 like Michael Jordan ran game 6 of the ’98NBA finals. An all-time performance we’ll reminisce for years. Confident, poised, and with a touch of swagger, we knew we were in good hands from the moment Davide described the hummus platter as the group peppered him with questions. I highly recommend Local 92 to anyone interested in being being blown away by food and service,(most notably by Davide). The value Davide brings to Local 92 is remarkable; it would be a mistake not to consider him for a promotion to management in the coming weeks.

Hummus, yes. Flatbread, yes. Lamb chops, divine! Davide has a great affect; he handled our table for 20 with a grace and savoir faire not seen since Ralph Finnes’ performance in The Grand Budapest Hotel. Convince your«on the fence» friend to come. S/he doesn’t know what s/he’s talking about anyways.

Probably today was my turn to be disappointed customer even-though there are lots of good reviews and the place was totally empty when we came ! I’ll get straight to the point! Appetizers: — Corn Soup was OK, nothing above 3 star restaurant. — Octopus was plain, i mean no flavor at all, and it came with spaghetti squash which was pretty plain as well, no hint of sun dried tomatoes or flavor of them(which is mentioned on menu) 2 plain things on one plate that doesn’t go together… — Burata cheese was good! the only thing the chef probably doesn’t have to cook, just to pour some sesame seeds and send out! Main Course: — Chestnut Gnocchi were very dry probably frozen for long time, cream was very watery and plain and pieces of lamb were plain and tough like rubber! — Lamb Osso Bucco not tender at all as it suppose to be as if it slow cooked over night, and lack of taste, i mean plain, israeli couscous was over cooked. We barely touched our main courses and asked the waiter to take it back, he responded«What do you want, you finished your portion what do you want me to do, why didn’t you asked me about this courses, I would recommend something else… » Great respond !!! After a moment he offered something else from the kitchen, but we already felt that we had enough. Then he came back and said that he can’t void or compensate us cause the manager is not in a restaurant… Overall we expected more from this place given all the great reviews!

Yum. The food here is delicious. The hummus– made in house and SOGOOD. The drinks are made really well. Lavender negroni? Yes please! Come for happy hour– half-priced drinks and bar food specials. The people that work here are also really friendly and super efficient. Even when this place is packed, your drink is never empty and your food comes right away. Great spot.

Omg this was so good. Found this place on Unilocal and made a reso though didn’t end up needing it. We started with cocktails … I had the fig mojito which was so good everyone at the table ended up ordering one. A couple friends tried martinis, also great. One person ordered some lavender cocktail which was so bad she sent it back and switched to the mojito. Drinks were $ 12 each and glasses of wine about the same. For food, we tried the hummus app to start. SOGOOD. The pita it was served with was some of the best I’ve ever had. Fluffy light and perfect. One person got the corn soup which was really great too. Another ordered the soup but never got it and ended up cancelling. For meals, I did the falafel platter which was actually an app I guess. Listen, that falafel was some of the best I have ever had. Very garlicky, beware if you dont care for that. It was served with a tomato and cucumber salad and more hummus. One of us got the gnocchi and he liked it but didn’t love it. Another had a salad she really enjoyed and the 4tf had some eggplant tomato dish I don’t recall name of but she loved it. Service was very good too. So, overall food was fantastic but one star lost for a couple things. Ambiance was great too, a really cool rustic-y place with great food.

I’m all about local! Local food and Local Spirits. Local 92 does a great job of featuring seasonal and Israeli fare in a way that pays homage to both. In warmer months, enjoy dining in their sidewalk café. Hosting an intimate dinner? Enjoy their private room! There’s a lot to love!

Excellent! We had a plan to go to west village for dinner but this place changed our minds. The terrace was so pretty with a lot of people and noce atmosphere! We had fun! Prices are not high compared to what deliciousness you get hahah

The food was amazing, a bit pricey but definitely worth the price! But, there’s something about this thing that when a server brings the check without me asking for it… That could ruin the entire experience for me. We finished our main courses and our server took our plates, and within a minute he brought us our check. «What if we wanted desert?» I asked him. And then he told us what the deserts were, but we were still too full to get desert so we told him we’ll decide in a few minutes. 10 minutes later, he brings us the check again… My friend got a little pissed and she firmly told him that we didn’t ask for the check. He only then told us that they are closing in a few minutes. Well, you could’ve told us that before… The busboy was nicer than the server.

What a wonderful place to dine outside. The lobster ravioli was divine, and so was the selection of drinks! Yes, this review is short. But I just had to say something about it! Keep in mind, I came here AFTER dinner lol. It just looked like the perfect spot to eat and drink after a long night with a friend. Will be returning for sure!

Outdoor seating lovers, rejoice! Local92 is excellent for people watching, and carries its exceptional ambiance all the way outdoors. This is a great spot to invite just about any one of your friends. Especially friends who like sangria(which realistically should be all of your friends, I’m just saying.. .) — with choices of red, white, AND rose. This place is vegetarian, vegan, and meat-eater friendly.

Went with a few friends for some drink at the east village and ended up in Local 92. The bartender Isabel was very nice and professional, she mixed great cocktails that were just for our taste. We ordered Duck fried rice which great, cooked just the right amount, every grain of rice was filled with taste. Also we ordered the polenta crusted artichokes and one of the specials polenta with mushrooms. The polenta had a great texture and the smell was amazing, probably the truffles… Yamy! You won’t regret it, the food and the service is great.

This is a terrific Mediterranean restaurant! Me and the family were walking around the East Village, trying to decide if we should go out to eat or bring something home. We were considering the Mermaid Inn as I have been their several times and their food is good, but my older daughter is a finicky eater and made it clear, NOSEAFOOD! Then we saw the awning for Local92 and the menu looked very promising so we figured we would give it a try. When we sat down, we saw that the menus were on the place mats — nice touch for an Israeli Tapas place. You can keep ordering!!! We had(a lot): Hummus Trio — good, but a little too much curry for my taste Lebane — a soft cheese spread over pita — delicious. Popcorn Cauliflower — A lightly fried cauliflower — addictive! Duck Fried Rice — Terrific! The duck was perfect with the long grain rice. Ricotta Beet Gnocchi — Excellent and unexpected menu item! Schnitzel Fingers — Chicken fingers — my girls loved them Israeli Empanadas — Terrific, filled with beef and marinated olives Plenty of PITA! Terrific favor. The cocktails were great and the service was top notch. We definitely want to come back and try their purple babaghanoush.

While waiting for a friend on the East Side we decided to chill here and have some water as NY traffic takes forever to meet up someone as the train was delayed: P… ended up ordering some Falafel and humus appetizer. We weren’t really hungry just wanted a bite and check the food out. The spot is pretty nice and the insides are well organized with enough space, this review is at 12am in the morning so i wasn’t expecting a big jam here at all. The humus was amazing… really great you could not stop munching on it, they jsut gave us a piece of bread so we had to ask for 3 more as it was 4 guys munching, which they obliged with and the bread was hot and nicely oiled. The falafel were not real falafel but ptotato cutlets n quite bland and tasteless. The salad that came with it aah just went perfect with the humus we had. Do visit the spot as the folks eating whatever they were mentioned it was quite tasty and well cooked.
