I have had chronic back pain and knee for almost 8 years following a successful track and field career. After going to 6 different chiropractors and 2 orthopedic surgeons over the years, I had given up on the thought of ever feeling better.
I decided to give Dr Calvano a try after a particularly difficult time 3 months ago. That decision has changed my life. Not only has he been able to treat my herniated disc without surgery, but he figured out what was wrong with my knees! I no longer have to struggle with constant swelling after workouts or restless nights due to back pain. This kind, patient focused doctor is a miracle worker and I will be forever grateful!

My husband experienced terrible pain from sciatica and two herniated disks. It was so bad we had to cancel our 2014 Thanksgiving plans, and he ended up in the ER twice, the following month, on Christmas Day. TWICE ON CHRISTMAS!!!
He had epidural steroid injections, appointments with a Pain Management doctor, physical therapy from two different therapists, acupuncture, strong meds, prednisone, you name it.
Then someone recommended chiropractic. We knew of Dr. Calvano from another friend so decided to try him. Within two visits my husband started feeling relief. Dr. Calvano, aside from being an amazing practitioner, is a genuinely nice person
.
My husband now goes once a month to stay «in check.» And I go, too, when I need a little adjusting.
He’s truly a miracle worker.

I love Dr. Calvano! He’s very friendly and funny and makes you feel very comfortable. He truly cares for your healing and the adjustments are very nice and smooth. I have been seeing him for about 3 weeks and have had alot of improvement with my back issues already. Would recommend to everyone :)

I run in the park in the mornings and started to notice that I felt as though one shoulder was higher than the other, accompanied by back pain and knee pain. I have been in and out of PT for many years and decided to try a chiropractor. I thought he could only help me with my back and neck pain, which was bothering me a lot more than my knee. I didn’t even mention my knee right away on the first consultation, thinking that he couldn’t help me with that anyway. Well, long story short, I was back to running pain free within 6 months, knee and all. It’s been 2 years now and I visit just once a month for back and neck relief (I haven’t stopped all of my bad habits like too much time hunched over a computer, carrying my perfectly ambulatory 5 year old daughter from time to time) but my pain is relatively minor. Dr Calvano is always pleasant, professional and great with kids too (if you occasionally need to bring yours along for an emergency appointment!)
BTW, he recently moved to midtown (Third and 33rd). I still visit there; easy enough from the 6 train.
