This place is a big hit with the guys at the office so I decided to give it a try a few weeks ago. My first order here was the tuna salad on a baguette. It was hard to keep it together because baguettes are a little tougher than regular rolls but it was fresh and delicious. I came here today and got the #8 black forest ham, substituted the swiss for American, romaine mayo and I added pickles. Shit was slamming, beautifully created with fresh ingredients and super friendly staff. Not great for groups very limited seating so grab and go!

I went with the No. 5, a roast beef sandwich($ 9) on baguette with Dijon over mayo. A hearty baguette, a good amount of roast beef, not overloaded with muenster, juicy tomatoes. A reasonable size sandwich where you get torn between stuffing yourself by finishing the whole thing, or saving half for later. While I did not notice the deal when ordering, you can also get a soup for a few dollars more.

Coffee has an aftertaste of melted plastic. I threw it away after a few sips. Prices are reasonable for NYC, however. It looks cute and welcoming from the outside, but inside, it’s like any other NYC deli.

Got some bagels here to go. Little shop, great service, pretty good bagels. If you want a quick bite, it’s a good place to stop by.

Went here to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. I was pretty hungry so I decided to go with a #6 and sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese. The sesame bagel was delicious as it was perfectly toasted and had a lot of flavor. There was also a generous spread of cream cheese which really added to the overall bite as well. The #6 was pretty good – but was not the best sandwich I’ve ever had. That being said, it was still decent and was a good size for the price. I would be more inclined to order a different sandwich and maybe get it on a bagel instead of their 7-grain loaf. Overall, this place serves up some decent food and has the assembly line down pat. If you are looking for a quick bite to have on the go, this is your place.

Cute little shop with only a few seats. Be ready to order, and order quickly cause sometimes the line gets long suddenly. But don’t worry, the workers are prompt to take your order, and efficient. I always get out of there pretty quickly. I often stop by to pick up a bagel for breakfast and a coffee. They have some breakfast deals, but I always get their bagel with smoked salmon. The price is little but more than other places, but its large enough for me to eat it as lunch as well. Great place to pick up a quick lunch!

Awesome sandwich/soup spot. It’s a good good healthy option if you work or live in the area. I got the sandwich with honey mustard and pepper jack. It was really good. The chicken soup(it was a special that day) was also very fresh and good.

Awesome sandwich place! Great place to grab a quick bite. I got the #6(easy on the turkey) and a Super-C juice. Fresh ingredients and likable flavors, what else do you want?! *Fyi, there is not too much seating*

I went here for lunch and will return. I ordered #3 — turkey pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard on a toasted plan bagel. The food was prepared fresh and tasted wonderful. The honey mustard had a good spicy kick. This place only seats 4 people which was perfect for us.

Tuna Salad sandwich is awesome. $ 9 is pretty steep, but that’s the same price Lenny’s/Lenwich charges and this is beyond better. Also, half of the sandwich fills me up so I usually save the other half for lunch the next day which isn’t a bad deal for $ 9!

Super nice staff. Awesome sandwiches that were loaded. Good smoothie, too. We were craving a park bench lunch, so we grabbed this on a walkabout of Manhattan. My sandwich was piled high with veggies – a refreshing break from typical traveler fare.

This place was great. Good selection of bagels and great deli selections. You can grab a set at the window if you can’t wait to eat you sandwich.

Great place to pick up something quick. I started going here when Bread Soul closed down near my work. They also replaced my soup since it dropped on the ground due to a wet bag. The soups are also not salty which is great. I know that I’m not eating a ton of something weird. P. S. Every time I’m here, there are always a bunch of young women who talk about their lawyer husbands. And then there are also a lot of guys in the same age range in suits – I’m assuming they are the lawyer husbands. Interesting dynamic at lunchtime. It’s like going to a college corner spot but everyone is dressed up in work clothing.

I miss this place so much. I used to work right down the block and this was my favorite place to go for lunch in Hell’s Kitchen. It’s a tiny place, tucked in between a bunch of other stores on 9th Avenue but you can’t miss their sunny, yellow awning. I’ve been here many times. My boss and I used to order lunch from here and sometimes split the sandwich because they are pretty big. You could probably eat half and feel full(unless you have a big appetite). I like having food leftover for later or sharing it. And if you come here with something else in mind, you can always build your own sandwich. Their bread is so fresh and the instant you walk inside, you can smell it. Sandwiches I recommend: the #1 Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Pesto Sandwich, the #3 Smoked Turkey, Pepper Jack Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Honey Mustard Sandwich, and the #7 Roast Beef, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, with Horse Radish Mayonnaise Sandwich. The Lunch Box also has a great smoothie menu, very tasty soups, and their bagels & muffins are delicious if you decide to stop in before work.

Exactly what you want for lunch. Not overwhelming in size, grab-and-go, and healthy options that actually taste good. I had my fair share of the hummus and vegetable sandwich, but in all honesty my favorites will have to be the everything bagel and the tomato-basil-mozzarella. There aren’t too many choices, but they have all the classics and you can create your own… Perfect if you get easily scared by the daunting choices of delis.

As always, I was looking for a bagel and lox for breakfast, and this was the highest rated place to my friends’ apartment. The lunch box is a little establishment with a few stools but mostly for takeaway. Good solid bagel, slathered with cream cheese and tasty lox. ~$ 7 for bagel and lox. They mostly have sandwiches and bagels but no eggs so this isn’t the place to go for egg sandwiches. To some of the other reviews, I don’t think there’s much cooking going on here so you’ll need to go elsewhere for a hot breakfast sandwich.

So I was kind of bummed when I walked in here for breakfast and realized they don’t make egg sandwiches(maybe they don’t cook anything at all?) but all my disappointment went away when I realized I could order a bagel with lox. The moment I bit into it I would say I went from happy to delighted. It was fantastic. This is not only one of the freshest lox/cream cheese/bagel breakfasts I’ve ever had, but I can tell the bagel itself was pretty amazing too. Pretty much the best breakfast I can imagine getting for less than $ 8(and much better than a lot of more expensive ones). On a side note: this place is the size of a shoebox. Don’t make firm plans to eat here; it gets so busy you’ll likely end up eating your delicious bagel on the sidewalk outside.

Update: I may sound a little obsessed with this place, but I’m picky about where I spend my money when it comes to food. I tried their #10, and I can honestly say their tuna is the best I’ve ever had. It’s made with very little mayo and tastes delicious on their fresh 7-grain bread. I will be never again be able to eat the mayo drenched excuse for tuna salad that most delis and supermarkets have. I will definitely be back for this sandwich!
