This company rules! I used them way back when they where first starting out (kinda bummed that the price has gone wayyyy down now). the staff was super friendly. I used them during a time when I was in between jobs and places and where in contact with the for a few months, they even send me a chocolate bar? how’d they know I loooooove chocolate. 1000 Stars if I could

This service is great
They let you keep the bins for a couple weeks to fill them as you want before they come pick them up
The pickup people communicate with you through text and are often able to come earlier than the scheduled time, which is great when it works out.
Having pictures associated with what you’re storing is fantastic. Can’t say enough
The staff answers email promptly and it’s just been great
I don’t have an iPhone so I can’t comment on the app, but using the website is good enough

I have used MakeSpace 3 times now, they are profession and very experienced. A big thanks for coordinating and assistance to Chelli. Paris and Darrell was fantastic and amazing furniture, very gently with my stuff, polite, made no scratches in the building, really really great experience– those two guys are what MakeSpace should built their teams spirit on, both of them were veterans too. Thanks again Paris, Darrell and Chelli!

I cannot recommend Make Space enough!
I was leaving town and, of course, left dealing with storage to the last minute. There were no available appointments online, so I called them.
They answered the phone right away and made time for me at the last minute.
This service is incredibly convenient, they are accommodating, have great customer service and their employees are polite and friendly.
Their interface is really easy to use and they are always easy to get a hold of.
I have recommended Make Space to a number of my friends, and they have had similarly wonderful experiences.
You can’t go wrong with Make Space!

This is my first review. I usually don’t do reviews but I felt I had to do one. I used them for about 2 months now and I don’t know what I would have done without them. I lived in a tiny apartment 8×9 in a 4 story walk up. I stored everything in it while I move around for a few months. So far so good. The guys who came to pick up the containers were really friendly too.
I would definitely advise to call and talk to Stephanie. She was amazing on setting up the items. I was also told that I was the beta moving service for new york city, since I had a lot of stuff. Keep up the good work! Hope for best for makespace!

I have been using them for over six months. It is a must have if you live in a tight apartment.
They are prompt in dropping off boxes and picking them up.

If what you say is true, Sam, why do I keep getting emails telling me my «account» is now past due? What’s next – sending me to collections? Get your shit together – or I’m reporting MakeSpace to the BBB. Because this latest email from MakeSpace indicates you are STILL trying to run my debit card even after your lengthy explanation.

I store my bike with MakeSpace. Easy, efficient process. Safe and inexpensive storage. Great!

Makespace has made living in a 4^th story walk up studio a breeze. Just had 6 full bins picked up from my apartment. Jamal and Michael were very professional, helpful and fast! Thanks guys– keep up the good work!

Fast. Convenient. On time. Affordable (i only had one box of many many comics– $ 7/​month). So far Im a satisfied customer.

I could write a longer review, but the bottom line is that this service is pretty damn incredible and was exactly what I needed for storing my bicycle and mobile grill. I looked at regular storage unit spots and it was going to cost me more than 5x what I’m paying at MakeSpace. They came and picked the stuff up, we’re super nice and didn’t waste any time. Assuming they didn’t just take my items directly to the dump or or sell my things, I highly recommend this service!

I’ve been using MakeSpace for about five months and what a great storage option. I moved to Brooklyn earlier this year and am still getting situated. I recently called back my bins to exchange summer for fall clothes and add some other things. Chris and Jason dropped off my bins and where courteous, kind and professional – despite having the 4^th floor walk-​up scenario. Great guys!
I communicated with their customer service crew a bit while making arrangements and although they were very helpful, I get the feeling they may be understaffed in that department. It takes awhile for them to respond. This is to be expected from a company that’s new and in demand. I don’t count this against them because the service is a Godsend, but for the sake of their current customer service team and new customers who may not appreciate having to wait on responses — it might be worth it to invest in some additional staff.
Overall, I highly recommend these guys!

I don’t normally leave Unilocal reviews but I had a particularly good experience with MakeSpace. I saved a bunch of money on hiring movers by loading all my stuff into MakeSpace bins and then having it delivered to a different city. The whole process was smooth and seamless so I’m leaving some of my things with MakeSpace indefinitely.

Convenient, Good Customer Service, a little pricey but worth it.
These guys did a good job throughout the process of delivery, packing and pickup phases. I haven’t needed to re-​access my stuff yet but I love that I can when I need to. (If this goes poorly I will update of course.) I especially appreciated that they sent emails and txts to remind me that they were coming to drop off and pick up. Some might find it a little excessive but it worked well for me to be able to communicate directly with the pickup team on the day of and to see reminder emails the day before.
I definitely recommend to anyone who needs to store things and doesn’t need an entire storage unit/doesn’t have a car.

Just bad bad bad all around…
Moving has to be in the top 5 of most stressful things, and they made it worse.
First, because of my location in the Bronx I was ineligible for the much nicer and more durable crates. I was super excited about my move and had spoken to 2 representatives before ordering and none told me I’d be receiving cardboard boxes. I immediately called customer service and received a very flat, «well, we can give you a refund» I even offered to drive to their warehouse and grab the crates myself and still was told no… sigh
Now 2 days before my move I’m going to have to pack 5 years worth of things into cardboard boxes, tape them to holy hell and pray they don’t fall out
Note: Manhattan, BK, and Queens are all offered the nicer boxes as well kind gentleman to deliver and pick up said boxes. I will have to ship my items via UPS

I needed to quickly move items and clothes out of my apartment and am so glad I found MakeSpace. They made everything so easy and efficient. I loved the bins, they were bigger than expected. In he past I’ve gone to the Container store and came home with expensive useless items.
They arrived on time and were very courteous and helpful.

Happy with the way this company quickly responds to customer service issues, and we were able to resolve them.
Great UI and easy to use service, and solves a big problem for me. I’d recommend it to friends.
Just make sure to clearly read their pricing page in regards to the 3-​month minimum when it comes to storing additional items.

So far my experience has generally been good, but with a few complaints.
First, the customer service agent who I spoke to was incredibly useless. I literally asked the same question three times over chat and he would never respond directly to the question. Eventually, I called the company and was able to get a straight answer.
Next, after getting my boxes, I realized that I would need more boxes. So I again chatted with the person about getting more boxes. He told me to have the boxes dropped off when I had these boxes pick-​up and asked if I could fill them within 20 minutes because they were busy and could not come back to pick them up in the two weeks following the drop off. I told him that I needed ten more boxes, and it would be hard to fill 10 boxes in 20 minutes.
I was getting few straight answers via chat, so I decided to call again. I asked when he could have the boxes dropped off and his response was basically «look at the website, I see what you see» which is very unhelpful and frankly rude.
It seemed like the website would not let me schedule another drop off with existing boxes out without scheduling a pick up. So I had to schedule a pick up and then another drop off proceeding that drop off. Was there simply not a drop off more boxes option on the website I understand that the beginning of May is a busy time, but clearly there was a way to get what I needed done, but the customer service person I spoke was either unwilling or unable to assist me.
The website was also unhelpful. For example, I don’t understand why the sizes of the wardrobe box is not listed on the website. Why can’t I revise my number of boxes on the website rather than having to call or chat with them?
The upload team was delightful and quick though.
