Billing fraud caused me to leave this practice as a patient after 5 visits of which 3 were problematic: For service 1÷27÷16, they billed my insurance $ 650, billed me $ 155, and wouldn’t return a $ 80 cash deposit which they require of all new patients claiming they can’t collect from the insurance company but then still won’t return the funds even if you show proof. For service 2÷26÷16, they billed the insurance $ 470, billed me $ 0, and wouldn’t return the $ 50 cash deposit for which they claimed no counter-receipt on their end. I reported this fraud to the NYCDCA. For service 3÷24÷16, they billed $ 1,500 for 2 vaccines(Pneumococcal conjugate5 a.k.a. PCV13& Tetanus, diphtheria, & acellular pertussis12 a.k.a. Tdap), so prospective patients, beware. Most patients have Medicare which this office looks upon favorably as not fighting their claims, but is skeptical thus collects cash deposits for patients on other plans then makes it very difficult to get a credit/refund.
