A pleasure to work with! Timely, professional and courteous. They designed, fabricated and hung window treatments in several rooms in my home. I was thrilled with the quality of the work! In addition, they returned a few years after initial installation to rehang the kitchen window treatments after they were taken down for painting. I would highly recommend Manhattan Shade and Glass without any hesitation.

I have had an exceptional experience with Manhattan Shade and Glass. Their customer service (aka the major hand holding I needed!!) has far exceeded my expectations. I’ve purchased custom pillows, drapes in both my living room and master bedroom, as well as solar shades throughout the apartment– all look absolutely beautiful. Manhattan Shade assisted me in picking high-​end fabrics as well as the general design of all of my window treatments. I am truly thankful for their professionalism and experience. Installation was a breeze– their installers are highly skilled and won’t leave the apartment until you are completely satisfied. Manhattan Shade and Glass surely has my highest recommendation.

Never!!! The customer service here is awful! Never again! I tried to go to the local store and support my neighborhood and got the worst service. Im still waiting for the manager of this store to contact me as I asked for this months ago.
Went in for an estimate on my kitchen, living room and daughters room for black out shades. Kimi was my sales person who I had to follow up several times for my estimate. I was told she was busy and would get to it. After receiving the estimate, i decided to try one shade and see how that went. Kimi said she wanted to send another guy to measure as she wasn’t comfortable with the first one that came. So, we remeasured. Four weeks later they install my shade. I come home and its too narrow. The shade doesn’t fit the window at all. I call Kimi and leave a message the very next morning. Im a bit annoyed as didn’t the installer say anything? He clearly saw the shade was way too short on the sides. I call Kimi again at 5pm and she claims she was just about to call. She said they will remake the shade in a week. No apology. One week later they call for an installation date. The day of, they call and cancel. They rebook for the next day. The shade is installed. I come home and its beige vs grey. So the shade is beige and the top valance grey. Again. Did they not notice? I call again and speak to someone else who says she will help me. She calls me back and says one week. They install a week later but again no apology. They credit me the $ 98 installation fee. I ask for a manager to call me as the level of customer service and follow up is awful. 7 weeks later and two incorrect shades and $ 98 installation fee? The entire cost was $ 600. Im told they will call. Still waiting.

i paid over $ 3000 for 4 poorly constructed blinds. they do not fit the windows. they have broken twice within a week of installation. the company does not want to replace them.
SUGGEST YOU AVOID THIS COMPANY. i waited four months for delivery, and although they sent a technician to look at them, they will not accept the fact the have already broken twice (and the pull cords have come away in my hands twice).
SHOP ELSEWHERE is my high recommendation.

Worst customer service EVER! They may do a good job installing but good luck trying to get them to service them. It’s the most ridiculous, painstaking process. Once you finally get them to show up, the guys do a good job. If you have all the time in the world, go for it. As for me… I’m moving on.

You would think that Manhattan Shade and Glass would be a top notch company, given their tenure on the Upper East and high price points. In ordering some simple Hunter Douglas blinds, an item I could have gone nearly anywhere for, I not only paid what I consider to be a slightly elevated price but also suffered through some of the worst customer service I’ve had with any home improvement/​décor company. Missed deadlines, incorrect parts, incomplete orders, a poor installer, a four week wait for a repair appointment and more. Nearly all of their employees have an attitude (no doubt after reviewing the size of my order which, though over $ 3000, was still small potatoes to them) on the phone and are never willing to «go the extra mile» to make a happy customer. There’s no reason to use Steve Schulman and MS&G. There are cheaper options with companies that will appreciate your business, no matter the value.

When I needed custom window treatments for my NYC apartment, Manhattan Shade & Glass came highly recommended. They will use COM (customer’s own material) to make exactly what you need, in my case Roman shades. Their work is top notch and the shades have held up brilliantly. Turnaround, being a custom order, can seem like forever but that is to be expected as they are hand done. I also ordered blackouts, cellular and Venetians from them. They even did the installs lickety split. Well worth the major ka-​ching for work and products which stand up so well over time.
