This store is in my neighborhood so I usually shop for wine there just for convenience. Service is variable, one staff member is usually helpful and polite, the other is unhelpful and rude — it makes one feel as if he is doing you a favor by responding to a question. The store seems to be a small independent business and I have tried to support it for years. This has happened so many times that I finally decided it was time to post a comment on Unilocal

Starting outside the door at 6:55 when they are supposed to close at 7. Horrible way to respond to customers. Extremely rude and wouldnt recommend you trust this place no matter what. Unreliable and overpriced. I recommend you stay away.

This is a great wine shop. Packed with great values, unique wines and a great staff. Ask as many questions as you like and the staff will be your guide to that great bottle of wine.

Tis place is great. No complaints. When I visit my mfriend on the UES I always come here. I feel like their wines are reasonable priced and the guys who help me are always so knowledgable about the wines. I tell them what I like and they give me a suggestion. They have always been super nice and friendly and ask me if I’d like help but not in an irritating manner. A few times I tell thm no more than 15 $ and they have set me up with very delicious drinkable wines. They have a good selection of wines im not familiar with which is nice. Try em out!

This is an okay wine store. They have a decent selection of expensive and cheaper wines. Re: the customer service — I prefer not to be hovered over by an overattentive staff member. I know my wines and if I need help, I will ask. That being said, if you don’t know what you want, I suppose this type of service could be useful.

My best friend lives just around the corner, so we pop in here probably too often. The ambiance — bright and welcoming The selection — vast and varied The layout — logical and shopper-friendly The employees — ridiculously friendly and helpful The prices — excellent My friend often orders from them and has the wine delivered. It’s always very quick and the delivery guys are very nice. Tonight, they were having a tasting of 3 delicious wines. We tried all three and ended up buying a bottle to pair with our dinner. It was a lovely pick-me-up after an atrocious day at the office. Basically, it’s a charming little neighborhood wine shop and I’d recommend it to anyone in the area.

Very cool! The best place to buy wine in Manhattan. The bulk of the wines are $ 25 and under. I haven’t found a place I like more in the whole city. There are 2 ladies that work there that are true experts(I think they are the owners?); they are passionate about wine and dedicated to helping their customers find a wine they will enjoy. As expected, discounts are given to customers when buying a case of wine. You There is an even greater discount if you buy a case of all the same wine. I have already purchased 4 cases of «The Prisoner«from California and will continue to do so; I recommend you do the same! Bottom line, the customer service and level of expertise is what makes Manhattan wine Xchange stand out, and their huge selection(especially for the upper Eastside) is also worth mentioning. They also have some pretty cool events going on almost every week.

MWX(as they call it) is one kick ass wine store! The store itself is super aesthetically pleasing with bright walls that give off an energy that resonates with the cheerful staff. Speaking of the staff. they are GREAT! Super knowledgeable about wine and always give me great recs! If you are looking for a wine that they don’t carry, they can try to get it for you! PLUS, they deliver — and not just in their neighborhood(Midtown East). This has been great for me as I live in Flatiron! They have FREE wine tastings every Weds, Thurs and Fri and also throw special events from time to time. The overall style of the store, the staff, and the wines makes this place hands down my favorite wine shop in all of Manhattan. Well done!

Let’s have a toast for the douchebags, Let’s have a toast for the assholes, Let’s have a toast for the scumbags, Every one of them that I know Let’s have a toast to the jerkoffs That’ll never take work off Baby, I got a plan Run away fast as you can People who were«working» there barely acknowledged us when we came in, didn’t ask to help us and said nothing when we left. Sorry aren’t you trying to sell wine? Did we not look rich enough for you? Don’t worry about us because there are cheaper and much more friendly wine shops on the UES

The UES’s Mini-Morrell store. There isn’t much selection and the focus is on brand names. They offer mid-to-high end priced cabs, but not really the stuff dreams are made of. Expensive wine without the pizzaz. That doesn’t mean with products are bad, just that there is no «Wow!» factor. As a friend once said, Sutter Home makes techinically sound wines, but they don’t make you say, «Wow!». The prices here are consistently 15−20% higher than the bottles in Crush on 57th St a couple of blocks away.
