This place made my heart skip a beat! When I heard there’s a manousheh place in NYC, I knew I had to try it. Everything in this place is nostalgic for me(I’m Lebanese btw). From the Lebanese-Archafieh accents, to the wall décor, it all took me back to Beirut. To top it of, they also had Unica & Bonjus!!! if you grew up in Lebanon you know what I’m talking about. We started our meal with maamoul, the walnut one was amazing and so was the date. The’re crumbly as they’re supposed to be! As for the manoushehs, well they’re great much thiner than a traditional manousheh but still as good! The Zaatar and lamb were both great! I can’t wait to be back here again!

I have been looking for a place that will remind me of the delicious Lebanese food I had when I visit Lebanon. Found it. Clean, fresh and delicious. Love it, love it, love it.

Delicious, simple and fresh food ! Have a preference for lahme(one for 6 $ and 2 for 10 $) but zaatar was excellent, such as the other options. Meat is halal /they also have vegetarian — vegan options. Arabic coffee and sweets are also very very good(Biscuits filled with dates or pistachios) and a must-try. Last but no least: Very friendly and efficient team ! Bravo :-)

Awesome little place. I had the labneh with added veggies(no olives) — the nice woman at the counter even let me try a cucumber because I’m so picky. The sandwich was more filling than I thought it would be, and the bread is perfection(thin and crispy in the outside and chewy on the inside). Do yourself a favor and get an Arabic coffee and one of cookies they have by the register — the walnut filling has some rose water and the flavor is superb.

My recent experience at Manousheh was great! I ordered the Cocktail(half thyme /half cheese) which was amazing. I ordered the labneh and the garlic sauce on the side, both of which complemented the dish well. The labneh in particular was one of the best I’ve had in the city so far. While the garlic sauce + cheese combination got a bit salty, I was overall very impressed by Manousheh and was thrilled that it is so affordable as well. The service here is great as the staff is very friendly /funny and are happy to explain the menu to you if you haven’t been before. The food also comes incredibly quickly(but without compromising on quality and freshness). I can’t wait to come again to try more items(in particular the dessert options and the other savory ones)!

I’m lucky enough to live down the street from Manousheh. I always get the zaatar bread with labneh(not veggies, plain labneh) and its incredible. Everyone who I’ve brought here loves it as well. It does take a few minutes to get your order because they roll out the bread for each order and bake it. Which means its fresh and incredible, but not lightening fast. The only thing I’ve had here but didn’t like was a special Sunday dessert that was drizzled in rosewater syrup. I really like rosewater but I didn’t dig it with the cheese and clotted cream. Overall delicious. You really must try it.

Unique, delicious, and clean – all you could ever want from a cheap eats place. Manousheh has a few tables so maybe a dozen could dine comfortably. Staff is super, ultra, crazy nice. Now let’s get to the food – SOGOOD. Get the Zaatar and go nuts with the extras! Novelty factor definitely gives it a boost but the flavors are soooooooooo… perfect. That melted cheese… the fresh vegetables and herbs… While $ 8 for a «roll» or whatever it is called isn’t cheap, it was definitely worth it. Had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time here and I think about this place pretty frequently. Wish I lived closer so I can stop by once a week. Lucky NYU students.

Do you like carbs? Do you like freshly baked carbs? Do you like Middle Eastern food? Do you like cheap food? If you said«yes» to all these questions, then you should head on down(or up depending on what part of NYC you find yourself) to Manousheh immediately. This place serves up some truly wonderful Lebanese street food that is almost too much to be true. Imagine a soft, chewy, freshly baked flatbread served with various wonderful toppings and rolled into a delicious wrap. Yeah. That’s this place. I always go for the labneh with veggies(cukes, tomatoes, olives, mint). For an extra kick, get za’atar on it. If you don’t know what that is, you’ll have to visit this place and just taste it. It’s wonderful. Also good is the jibneh, a type of Arabic cheese. Okay. Let’s just be straight up. Everything is good. That is all.

Ooook though I’m not happy with the with the way my sandwich was wrapped(no love from the cashier) I will say the food was amazing. The chef did his thang! The flavors were delicious. I will say though, the time that I waited I was hoping that my wrap would have at least been warm.

This is a quick, simple and authentic lebanese spot. We had the veggie flatbread with the zatar seasoning. It really hit the spot. Great for a lunch or casual bite but probably not the best for big groups. Wouldn’t be the place i would travel across town for but If I’m in the area I would definitely go again. The portion sizes were on the smaller side and we ate vegetarian so I can’t comment on the meat dishes. Overall, satisfying but not overwhelmingly so.

What a concept … Cheap, made to order Middle eastern comfort food. The savory ones looked great but what caught my eye was the Halawah… A sweet sesame paste, I know as Halavah. Rolled up on a freshly baked flat bread. Amazing. I was already completely stuffed but had to have one. Cute little place with a table or two and some stools looking out at a meeker Street. The price is right. Every town needs one of these. For 6 or 7 bucks that’s all you need to eat for the day. Next time I would try the cheese and thyme. That oven is blazing hot !! Free coffee or tea with Unilocal check in !!

I can’t believe I havent reviewed this place! I came when it first opened awhile ago. I got the scoop directly from the owner, Zaid. Pretty much interrogated him on how i could not have known about tjis place sooner. And have since instagrammed and facebooked the hell out of this place to alert all my friends. But, I digress. They make authentic Lebanese maneesh — best cheese, best bread, zaatar, etc. I like to mix my sandwiches by combining zaatar and lebneh and mixed vegetables. Best of both worlds. Its a great little nook to chill with one or two friends. There are numerous outlets. *gasp* So, relax, sip your tea, and munch on a manousheh while charging your phone. Sigh. I’ve missed this place.

Quick bite to eat in a casual spot for more than reasonable price. Traditional Lebanese«flatbreads». My husband got the meat one and I ordered Zataar with veggies. I definitely loved mine more! Service was very friendly. Will come again and next time I want to try coffee as well

Oh. my. gosh. What a find! Manousheh serves cheap, fresh, quickly-made Lebanese street food. I popped in here by accident, and I was blown away. I ordered the Lahem Bi Ajine, essentially a flatbread with ground beef. The dough is deliciously thin and crispy, with a nice crunch towards the edges. The beef is seasoned so perfectly and has a soft texture, with no sign of gristle. The acidity from the lemon wedge balances the delicious fatty flavor from the meat. I’m craving it just writing about it– I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu!

My first time eating a Lebanese flatbread topped with ground beef and tomato. I didn’t know what to expect and it’s been a long time since I’ve encountered a «new» food. The flatbread was very thin, flaky, and tasted good with the thin topping on top, mostly the flavor of the ground beef stood out. It was a nice, quick, inexpensive bite. The dessert of khedef was pretty good too, a light sweet creamy white base topped with some sort of crumbliness. I think rose water was sprinkled throughout because the flavor of floral was noticeable throughout. I would have liked the flatbread to be hotter or warmer since it was cooled, but this is definitely a very fast bite.

Love this place. Cheap lunch spot with delicious food! Have been going here for quite some time and figured I should finally write a review. The staff here are always super friendly and always happy to explain what each dish is. Love that they have a simple menu with occasional specials. My go-to is the cocktail with added $ 2 veggies and a side of labne. They recently introduced a chicken version with garlic sauce — absolutely delicious. Today we added the veggies and is now a new fave.

I chose this place for a quick bite because it was really close to the Comedy Cellar, where a friend and I were headed for the night. I CHOSEWISELY. Manousheh is really cheap, simple, and delicious. The woman at the counter was charming as hell and quickly explained the menu to us before we ordered. I ordered the labneh flatbread with everything on it, which included some tomatoes, cucumbers, mint, and green olives. The dish was only $ 5 and was enough for me for dinner. I really enjoyed it; it was nothing particularly fancy or unique, but it was healthy and fresh and tasted great. I’m really glad I found this place on Unilocal and I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!

Anyone who gives Manousheh less than five stars on taste is either lying to themselves and others or has numb taste buds. They’re cranking out great stuff from those ovens(let’s call them Lebanese calzones, for lack of respect). I tried the Zaatar Jibneh, which was outstanding, but they also have labneh(Middle Eastern cream cheese basically, you may have had the Turkish and Israeli versions) and Lahem Bi Ajine(a version of the Turkisn lahmacun pizza pie). The Jibneh was so good(Homer drool), and very large as well. If you want more fillings, pay a couple bucks extra like I did. At $ 6, and paired with a $ 2.50 ayran, it’s one of the best bargain«fast-food» mealsyou can get anywhere in Manhattan. I can’t wait to try the other savory flatbreads as well as the Nutella sweet calzone. Good stuff – go out and get yours!

Wow! It was an incredible pleasure to sample the Lebanese street food available here. The friendly proprietor truly took her time to explain the few dishes available and we eventually decided to… TRYTHEMALL! The price is quite low and the freshness and quality were the best ever! We also scored one of the two tables and relaxed by playing some backgammon on the set they have available for patrons. We look forward to returning!
