Ask for Veronica at the bar if you go for a visit there. She is sweet, funny, and has the best hair in all of NYC! The GM/Chef needs to be to share the new menu items with not only the servers but the hostess and the bar tenders. How can they truly sell for you if you they haven’t tried or even seen the menu items? Either way… It was a great experience overall. Veronica is the best!

Made reservations for a pre-show meal. Love the décor. The food was nice — not the most amazing meal, but better than average. Odd menu. Pad Thai, sushi, fish and chips, hamburgers, and Mac and cheese. Eclectic mix. If you have a tight schedule, I would not recommend this place. I’m hoping today was an off night for them, but it was very disorganized. There was a large party up in the front, and a few tables occupied in the back when we came in. Two waiters and two bussers were staffing the place from what I could tell. At first, both waiters kept asking for our orders, which to me says that they clearly did not have a system in place. Were they both assigned our table? The food was efficient, and then more people came in. Then our waiters were no where to be seen. There was a lady who came in when people kept looking for a table from the builder who would just say«I’M the hostess» in a very arrogant manner. But clearly she was not around to be found if they kept passing her to get in. We didn’t see her coming in. The tables in the back kept looking for waiters. Someone waited 20 mins for a beer. We waited a long time to get anyone’s attention after the food came. A man from the party upfront came rushing in the back because he couldn’t find a bartender and his wife was going to pass out and needed water. She kind of ignored him, when there were two bussers right there with water, and said he has to wait while she sat this table, and then passed him again. The busser overheard this and came over once he was ignored by her, and quickly got him a water. They clearly needed more staff or organization. I would not go here pre show. Cool vibe, but not enough to go back.

I chose this venue because it was featured as a great spot for boozy brunch. I was meeting friends and family this past Sunday May 15 for brunch before attending a play. When making the reservation a few weeks ago they made it seem as though the place gets really packed(which can happen for boozy brunches) so when I arrive and saw the empty tables and lack of people, I was surprised that the phone attendant acted as if he did me a favor by setting up my noon res. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before we had to FLAGDOWN the hostess to take out drink order; like I said, the place was empty. We waited another 15 minutes before flagging the hostess down again to take our orders. She was rather comfortable behind the mini bar in full view of us and had no problem walking right post the table without checking on us. While taking orders, she reached for the menus taking them from people’s hands. While my friend was ordering she again reached for the menu and spilled her drink all over friend in the adjacent chair, staining her suede shoes. Fast forward, the food was awesome and thank goodness because the service was terrible. When the check came, they added a service charge to which we certainly did not agree. There was no manager to speak to. The supervisor on duty was indifferent and had no interest in the customer experience. After some serious conversation she took off the service charge. While the food was good, the service was terrible. There are too many places to eat in NYC that provide the same great cuisine but also take pride in the customer experience. I’ll not be returning

Nice restaurant and ambiance. The waitress was very nice although her English wasn’t that great. My friends and I went after happy hour it was pretty empty: we ordered a bunch of small plates. The wings were yummy, I would pass on Mac and cheese it was tasted like a box item. The pad Thai was good and nice portion. We also ordered the sliders that were well seasoned and cooked well. I would recommend and go back again.

Had a 1pm reservation for brunch and they promptly sat us down for our meal. I think our experience was amazing through and through. I had the huevos rancheros, which was so delicious, the drink were always being refilled, and the service was excellent. In the island where brunch with unlimited drinks seems to be a hit or miss… Maple, by far, is an absolute hit! I cannot wait to go back!

I definitely recommend this place for brunch! I’ve been 3 times and have loved everything I have ordered. I’ve tried the burger, French toast and the two eggs breakfast. The prices are amazing, and the two hours of unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary’s are amazing! I will continue to go back when in Times Square before or after whatever Broadway show I’m seeing.

This is not my first time coming to Maple. I wanted to make sure I give them a fair review so I waited until now. I got to say I had a great experience here. Let’s star with the food there(brunch menu). I few of my friends ordered the fish, French toast, the plain eggs with home fries, pancakes and huevos rancheros. Everyone enjoyed their food. I personally loved their huevo a rancheros. Drinks, I am not a fan of bloody Mary’s but a few of my friends ordered this and they seemed to have enjoyed this drink. Well I had their mimosas. They were excellent! Service, well the service was exactly how my experience went from 4 to 5 stars. Our server was Sashi, she was great! She made sure that our really big party of 15 left Maple happy.

Went here with some friends after work for drinks and apps. Cool look with all the wood and lounge section. The prices were reasonable and drinks tasted good. We ordered the duck bun and I actually fell in love! The food was executed very well and I deft want to go back for dinner soon.

I absolutely recommend this place! The prices aren’t bad at all and the food is delicious! I went for dinner one night while in NYC. It was freezing, January right before the snow storm, and this was a great welcome from the cold. The décor is very mountain lodge with elegance! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I hate eating alone so they happily accommodated me and seating me where I would feel comfortable. My waiter was one of the best I had, I wish I could remember his name but I can’t he was taller and had blonde longer hair. He was wonderful!!! He was great at suggesting items that would be on the healthier side of their menu. I had the Swedish salmon with brussle sprouts and polenta. It was to die for!!! Cooked to perfection! I could not recommend this place more!!! I will be back next time I’m in NYC!

3.5 stars! Came here for a Saturday birthday brunch… service right away was welcoming and sweet. Our party was a little late but our server, Sachiko, was super accommodating and adjusted our time for us. The food was tasty. Only thing that threw us off was to order a side of pancakes it was $ 15 for 3 pancakes. Makes no sense. Other than that the drinks were constantly being filled and the service was attentive. The whole vibe of the place is super woodsy, hence the name. Enjoyed it very much and would most likely return again!

I attended Maple Restaurant and Lounge for brunch on Sunday. When I originally called on Friday looking for a reservation for 15 people, the hostess let me know she would have to speak to her manager to see if they could accommodate us. About a half hour later I received a call from Sachi(spelling might be incorrect) who said she would be able to set up a special table for our party in the runway as the back room was booked. I was hesitant but with it being a holiday weekend, most brunch spots in the city were booked for such a big party. When we arrived, the table was set up as expected and Sachi was our waitress. As members of my party gradually showed up, our two hour unlimited special began. $ 29 is a great deal for a meal and unlimited drinks and Sachi consistently filled up our mimosas as well as leaving pitchers on the table for us to refill our own glasses. The food took awhile to come out but we were not in a rush so this was not a huge deal. Overall, we had a wonderful time and for $ 29 a head this was a great place to begin our day!

Hey Friends, If you’re like me, and enjoy being seated on time, food options, concern for dietary restrictions or getting your meal *remotely* on time, then boy have I got a place that is NOT for you. A little background, we came here for Sunday brunch(the holy grail of New York weekend meals) very early. This meant we had to leave our warm beds, ignore our ungodly hangovers(and in one special case, a very god given warm body) to trek to midtown, as we were told it was the only time the venue could seat out 8 person party. Fine. When we get there, not only is there no reservation, all the hostess can do is stress that it’s not *her* fault and that there is NOPOSSIBLEWAYTOSEATUS(in the empty restaurant). The lead server made it seem like it our fault for just showing up, even once they realized their error. Refusing the dumb option of sitting for 45 minutes and then moving to the bar(FYI food took over an hour, so can’t imagine how that would have gone down), they finally sat us in this front area, which was cute, whatever, hence the 2 stars, ie more than 1 which is what I felt in my heart. If this was where it had ended, we could have all danced into the sunset together. The following is what truly haunts my brunch nightmares: 1. They don’t have anything but cream for the coffee. YOUSERVEBRUNCH– HENCECOFFEE. THISISNEWYORK. YOUAREBYTHETHEATERDISTRICT. Do you think any one drinks whole milk in the theater district? Everyone in NY is ovo-lacto-vegan something. Don’t tell me it’s so hard to have if not a non fat option then coconut, almond, soy, hemp, flax… 2. One girl did not want to get the 29 $ brunch and drink special and was treated like sh*t. She could be a recovering alcoholic, she could be hungover, she could not want to drink at 11am in the morning. Don’t tell me my friend can’t sit with us because she just wants an egg and coffee and you«charge by the head.» 3. When asked for pepper and salt, only got salt packets. Sup Maple, real classy. When pressed they brought out mini shakers. Was that so hard? 4. One girl’s meal was completely forgotten. Over an hour forgotten. When we asked we got a brush off that it was«coming» until they realized they forgot it and then at least pretended to be sorry. 5. We got the wrong drinks multiple times, whatever weird, free drinks 6. MYFAVORITE– there was a giant TV that was playing acne commercials on repeat that turned on halfway through our meal. We asked them to turn off, and they where like *why*- sorry that I don’t fine people’s acne ridden«before» faces a nice accompaniment to my eggs Benedict.(lets be real all they had was an omelette) 7. I ordered a maple omelette, turns out it is just a basic scramble bearing the name of the venue(my fault I guess, but still weird). To apologize for all these shenanigans, they gave us 10% off. They should have just given poor girl who basically had to eat alone her meal for free. In addition the discount was presented to us as a GIANT favor– like the only you did not mess up was the actual taste of the food. Which was decent for brunch foods(nothing new, but def yum). So kudos to the chef — you did good bro. anyway the discount was split on the cards, and so the girl had to still pay for most of her meal which was sad, and now we all owe her drinks. TL:DR lost our rez, took forever for food to come, didn’t care about dietary needs, only vaguely accommodating, no alcohol in mimosas, food tasted fine, but nothing to write home about, forced to watch acne faces on high def.

I just went here the other night for a girl’s MeetUp group. It was my first time at Maple Restaurant and Lounge, and the only thing I researched about it before hand was the location. My first thought was, «I’m nervous about the prices being steep because of the close proximity to Times Square,» but there were a nice range of options in varying price ranges that took my worries away about that. When I first walked in, I was somewhat unsure of what to do because I knew no one in the group yet that I was meeting. The host(who actually was the manager, and I didn’t know it at the time) helped me navigate the«first things first.» He patiently guided me to the coat check area, and helped me get a drink ordered and some food.(I should probably mention that the girls-group had reserved the sitting/standing lounge area in the front and so many of us showed up that the only room in that area overflowed somewhat to the host stand and cozy fireplace.) I ordered a margarita that was absolutely delicious, and I ordered the chicken dumplings. Those dumplings witnessed the outside world for approximately three whole minutes! I highly recommend them! The ambiance was comfortable yet compelling with softer lighting all over and brighter lights highlighting the main features of the space. There were a few servers popping in and out through our crowd in an effortless way. I was surprised they were able to keep so many individuals and their checks organized while maintaining knowledgeable, timely, and precise service. The music was somewhat loud, but it made it feel really exciting. I could imagine that going there on a date would cause one to have a great excuse to get close to have a conversation. I did not venture through the entirety of the venue, but it also looked like there were offerings of «quieter» spots available if necessary. The energy was a wonderful balance of relaxing yet energetic. I will be bookmarking this place in my Unilocal account, as well as adding it to my list of places to take some friends when they visit! And thank you again, Maple Restaurant and Lounge for a fantastic experience!

I love the wood décor and the setting was like a ski lodge wood cabin with modern style décor seating and painted picture frames w/o pictures made it seem like you’re the intended guest… the lunch menu has a wonderful style of food selection and the presentation of the food was beautiful my order was light but the taste for a simple meal made my taste buds explode… I enjoyed every bite… I can’t wait to go back and try the dinner… that lamb chops is calling my name… and last but not least the staff was extremely kind and helpful… making the restaurant very inviting and comfortable.

Had a great time here last night for my friend’s birthday. Was skeptical when I saw that she chose a place smack in the middle of Times Square, but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival! She called ahead for her birthday and they reserved a special section for us and gave us free cover when we said her name. The ambiance is very cool in here, but it is an oddly shaped bar which makes moving around and mingling a little awkward. There are two bars, but one was off limits for a separate private party, so we were stuck with one very very crowded bar. Drinks were fairly expensive and difficult to actually get, but were made well. The music selection was awesome! The dj even took requests. He was a gem. Would I come back? Probably not. That being said, we did have a great time and the bday girl was very happy!

We stopped in for a quick drink at Maple after work on a Monday evening. I really wish I had more to say but having only had(literally) two beers there isn’t much to talk about. The décor has a rustic, old-western feel to it and the place isn’t too big(at least the bar area where we were). Our waitress was nice and brought our drinks rather quickly. The music is fine and there is a projection TV to catch ESPN. And… that’s about it. Drinks were priced about where we expected and they had a decent selection of beers. It’s close to the office, so we might return in the future.

Mediocre food in general. But decent tourist food. It was an ok one time experience for me. Had the chef choice 9 piece sushi(sashimi really) and one choice roll(eel cucumber). The eel was ok, loosely wrapped. There was one exceptional fish in the bunch and I wish I saved some to find out what it was. It was buttery. And a glass of champagne. Overall I’d say pop in for a quick drink the bartender is on point(short curly haired woman) and if your hungry maybe don’t venture too far.

This review is for their Halloween party last night. When my friends suggested that we go to Maple in Times Square, my first instinct was no way! I avoid this area at all cost especially during the holidays. But the people at the door were very friendly, I got in right on time. I got my drinks and the music was great! The crowd was very mixed and the bathrooms are between the lobby and the lounge.

I made a reservation at Maple for brunch for a party of 8 on a Sunday. It’s in a great location for anyone staying in a hotel in Times Square and it’s one of the few places that takes reservations for brunch. It’s also a $ 29 all you can drink prix fix. It turns out we didn’t need to make reservations at all. The place was totally empty at 11 when we arrived, and got a bit more crowded as the day went on, but not by much. The staff was very nice(if a bit slow) and the drinks were great. I also liked that cappuccinos, lattes, juices, and other non alcoholic beverages were included in the«all you can drink» price. The food was pretty average. Minus one star for being unwilling to make accommodations. Some of us just wanted food without drink, but were told that that wasn’t really an option – they were willing to do it for $ 20, which is really high for what you get. We also had some vegetarians who wanted to sub out meat and the only option given was fries. They wouldn’t sub out for the other vegetarian items on the menu like Mac and cheese. Overall, this is definitely not a place locals would like(mainly given the Times Square location and the lack of trendy menu items) but it’s great for a big group of visitors who want a restaurant with enough space and a nice boozy brunch.

The bar area is pretty much the lobby. Pretty cool décor and the bar snacks are good(healthy options too!). Avoid the special margaritas as they were premade and my friends thought they were quite bad. Also the rose sangria was terrible. Otherwise their choice of wines & spirits was quite good.

Went for brunch on Sunday. No need to make reservations, there were never more than 4 seated tables the entire 2 hours we were there. I’m sure it’s a different vibe at night, but it seemed like brunch was just there so the hotel could tell it’s visitors it had a breakfast. The food is amazing, I had the migas which were great and my friend had an omlette which was huge(he didn’t finish it). I did think it was a bit pricy($ 29 prix fixe brunch menu) but maybe that’s because the bottomless drink glasses were so small. You can choose between bloody mary’s(good, not too spicy), sangria(which had no brandy I could taste) and a drink of the day. And you don’t have to stick with one drink, you can mix and match through the meal. The biggest demerit for this place comes from the staff. We came in right as the restaurant opened but were ignored at the door for about 5 minutes. Then after we were seated our waiter was hardly seen. I think the bus boy(food runner?) spent more time with us than our server. It was hard to get refills on coffee or even our check. There are better brunch places out there, but if you’re looking for something low key with bottomless drinks this is alright. Just don’t get shell shocked when you see the bill.

3.5 stars — not bad for a brunch with unlimited mimosas or bloody marys or whatever for a group. There were 5 of us and we met around 11:30am on a Sunday. The restaurant at the time was not busy, which was nice. Our hostess was OK and overall, we just enjoyed having a place where it wasn’t crazy busy and we could hear each other talk. I ordered pancakes with berries — not really worth $ 29, but people come here for the unlimited drinks for 2 hours. This is a good place for groups, we saw a large group of 8 or so and a few other groups here and there. The décor is interesting/contemporary.

Let me start this off by saying the food here is EXCELLENT! I had the tuna tar tar and salmon appetizer. The fish was done perfectly in both dishes. And the drink I had, although expensive($ 14!), was delicious. Now for why I gave it 2 stars. I came here with a group of girls for a bachelorette party. We had a reservation for apps and drinks in the lounge part, but they were able to give us a table since most of us wanted an actual dinner. We got there at 9pm on a Saturday night, in downtown Manhattan, and we were the only people there… a bit fishy if I say so myself. After we were seated by the only waitress in the restaurant, we ordered drinks. Came out quickly. Then we ordered food. After about 45 minutes, and multiple times asking, we finally got a bread basket. After another 20 minutes we asked the waitress(after asking the bus boy to find her), where our food was. Not even appetizers had been brought out yet. She came back about 10 minutes later saying the apologizes, but that there is only 1 chef working tonight. ONECHEF! On a Saturday night in Manhattan! Not even any sous chefs! So after almost an hour and a half of waiting, we finally got our food, which was delicious. And please mind you, that his restaurant is part of a hotel, which is even more unacceptable considering they only have 1 person in the kitchen.

Beware! Inattentive service. When the tab arrived on my second visit with clients on a Wednesday evening, the server(s) had charged me for 39 drinks for four people. The tab was $ 620 plus tip!!! When disputed, management supported his staff, and claimed that his staff wouldn’t overcharge guests. This is obviously not a place for small or large groups unless money is no concern. In addition, the cocktails did not pack a punch. I left with only a slight buzz. Bummer. I thought I found a gem, I was bamboozled instead.

I think this place would fare better if it marketed itself as a lounge/club, rather than a restaurant and lounge. The food that we ordered was okay and I would refer to it as «bar food» and nothing more. The bill adds up quickly so keep tabs on what you’re ordering! However, I guess if you are inebriated, you’re going to ignore that piece of advice anyway! It’s at the price level of the area anyhow… Anyway, onward and upward to the lounge portion of my review. Had a great time celebrating a friend’s birthday here on a Friday night. Would definitely recommend if you have a tight group of friends that wants to catch up with each other and maybe hit up the dance floor after getting a bit cozy with the alcoholic beverages. Although the floor is spacious, not a lot of people were on their feet. This could be because the place is still relatively new, though? Our hostess was an absolute sweetheart. Cute, friendly, attentive, prompt. We had a corner table reserved, but she let us move to a private area with couches since someone else’s party didn’t show. The badass behind the bar was equally as impressive, and the DJ knew what he was doing! The music they played was mostly Top 40 and new school hip-hop. Con: They played that Bobby Schmurda garbage. :( DJ gave us a shout-out, did requests, and the bartender and waiters danced with us! We made awesome friends in the bathroom(don’t ask). One of my friends was totally plastered by the end of the night because they were hooking us up well. One of the waiters, a waitress, and I think one of the bartenders came looking for us towards the end of the night to say happy birthday again and make sure my friend wasn’t passed out somewhere on the floor. Everything was A-OK. Looking forward to going back, even though I’m not much of a big drinker anymore. The people were cool. Go check it out!

Food was okay. They didn’t have pasta for the dish I really wanted, which is odd. You would think they would carry a lot of pasta if they have a pasta dish, especially since it doesn’t normally go bad. So I had to order something I didn’t really want. We got there right at noon, and no one was there which was strange. Because of that, they looked at us like we were lost. It was very uncomfortable and rude. Even when we left, there was only one other table. Is this a sign? I loved the furniture and décor! Such a cool place with standoffish people and okay food. What a shame.
