I mean unique take on burgers and fries. It’s sliders and shakes, blaring rap music(love it) laid back, art on the wall. Four or five different ketchups, 6 – 7 different shakes… Place is just all over the place. Love it…

With the amount of great reviews that Mark has, I decided to give this spot a try. When you specialize in just two things, sliders and fries, I expect it to be the best sliders and fries I’ve ever had. However, after finishing my first bacon slider, I wasn’t impressed. I think White Castle’s sliders tasted better than these. I love cheese fries and there was so much potential for Mark’s cheese fries as the amount of gooey melted cheese was 2:1; again, I was disappointed as the fries were soggy. Perhaps Mark tastes better after a couple of beers when you’re craving a greasy burger and fries meal.

The sliders are really good. They grind their own beef so you are not getting a frozen burger. The pulled pork is life changing. They have a good assortment of milk shakes. Two words: Happy hour!

Came in on Memorial Day weekend and sat at the bar. At the suggestion of the girls, I sat by the grill since it was soooo cold out. From start I don’t understand the negative reviews about service. EVERYONE was so nice and all smiles. I will start with fries. They are made fresh every order. They do not make a batch for a bunch of people and let sit. Perfectly crisp and fresh, not frozen The burgers are delish. I saw the cook put seasoning on the grill before throwing the onions and meat down. I am a meat LOVER, and the regular sliders are good, but the turkey burgers surprisingly slammin

Such a great spot to just hangout and eat! I don’t know that I’ve ever actually drank here(as it is a bar) — I’ve only come in for their sliders, fries and shakes. Every time. For those prices + chill vibe(they play throwback songs and the bartenders are super friendly), it’s definitely a solid place to kick back. Not to mention their food is great! Their sliders(~$ 3) are small, but they have a lot of flavor. The last time I came in, my boyfriend and I shared cheese fries. They definitely don’t skimp on anything here! There was cheese all the way to the bottom of the container. They have rich, thick shakes. I’ve never had the bacon one, but the Hennessy is a favorite of mine — even if I can never finish it.

This place does not know what service is. I dined here five hours ago and am so appalled by their shitty service that I had to write down my experience on here. So my friend and I entered and lingered near the front of the restaurant for a few minutes. No one greeted us or acknowledged our presence so we just sat ourselves down at the seats in front of the grill. We sat there for over SIX minutes. No one said anything to us or even gave us menus. The frigging cook had to give us menus since I got annoyed and finally asked for them. After we decided what we wanted, the server seemed to totally IGNORE our presence. She was too busy on her damn Instagram to realize that there are hungry and waiting customers just a few feet away from her!!! But no. Instead of properly doing her job, she just whips out her phone… AGAIN! Ridiculous! Thank goodness the bartender walked by us and took down our orders. But mind you, it took FIFTEEN minutes for our orders to be taken. We were so close to walking out. Anyway. The food is basic and bland. The sliders were nothing special. We got bacon and pulled pork sliders with cheese fries. The pulled pork was cold! Were they too lazy to even cook their refrigerated meat properly?! We waited around FIFTEEN minutes to get our food. The cheese fries were the WORST food decision EVERRR!!! The cheese tasted like it was expired. It was so disgusting that we tried our hardest to find fries that weren’t drenched in such nasty, vile cheese. Gross! We ate 5% of the fries before covering it with a napkin… signaling it’s funeral. Don’t go here. Don’t do it. Don’t listen to these high rated reviews. These guys probably have non-working taste buds. P. S. Hire people that work and fire the ones that exemplify laziness. The female bartender and one of the cooks are the only ones doing their job. Everyone else was too busy on their phone to remember that they are at WORK! Thanks a lot for the waste of time and stomach space!(Sarcasm)

This place has really delicious food at an even better price! Happened to stumble in here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night and there was amazingly available seating at the bar. I’m not a huge fan of burgers normally but this place has made me rethink that. I got the turkey sliders with a side of pickles and we shared an appetizer of loaded chili fries. The sliders were so juicy and they grill onions into the sliders which makes them so flavorful. They chili fries were so crispy did thin. This place is great for a quick bite to eat. It’s nothing fancy and the menu is pretty limited but everything they do, they do it very well! They also have a pretty good selection of beers both bottled and on tap which was also very reasonably priced of 4 bottles for $ 20! Overall would definitely recommend this place!

This place by far has one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And to make it better, they are small! They sell about 7 different sliders, fries and shakes. Every slider comes with cheese and onions and there are 4 different sauces at each table(ketchup, chipotle, bbq, & jalapeño). The sliders are very small so I would suggest at least two per person. The pulled pork is my favorite by far. It’s very casual and you can sit anywhere. Take a trip downtown and try these delicious sliders.

Someone at our hotel recommended this spot for their sliders and Guinness floats. We were excited to try it so went out of our way to stop by. When we got there, we grabbed a seat and ordered the Guinness float and a bacon slider. We waited over 20 minutes before our server came back and apologized for the order taking a while. Another 20 minutes went by and still no shake or slider… We got up to leave so I went to find the server to let her know we were leaving. Couldn’t find her… hope she understands why we walked out.

Found this place when we were nearby and decided to check it out after seeing the great reviews. It’s a small space(like most places on St. Mark’s) but we found a table by the entrance and under a heater, which was perfect to warm up on a cold night. I ordered a turkey slider with cheese and onions, cheese fries to share, and the shake of the month, which was candy cane. The slider is good(and I love grilled onions on a burger!) but the cheese fries and shake were the highlights of the meal for me. Normally, I don’t order milkshakes because it’s too heavy with the rest of the meal but this really hit the spot. Prices are great, too, and the service was good. I’ll definitely come back for more!

St. Mark Burgers NY Manhattan East Village 7:30pm Saturday 7th November 2015 Five Stars On a street where every restaurant is crowded, Mark is a great burger counter with no wait, cheap prices, and excellent food. We sat at the far end of bar counter. I had a Double Burger($ 5), Bacon Burger($ 3.25), Cheese Fries($ 5.5), and Bacon Milk Shake($ 8). I really enjoy watching the cook my food. He was very methodical in placing, smashing, covering each patty with thinly sliced onions and those orange squares of American cheese. The«sliders» we’re larger than average. The two burger patties was cooked a nice medium. They were fatty and flavorful. The warm classic bun held up. The onions were tender and sweet. The cheese was melted. The bacon burger has the bacon smashed inside the patty which was a bit disappointing but was still good. The French fries are freshly cut and fried. The $ 5 basket is huge and can easily be shared by two or three people. Warning: The cheese fries comes with a lot of cheese sauce. My poor crispy potatoes were drowning. Next time: I will get a fries with side of sauce instead. They have four additional condiments: Ketchup, Chipotle Ketchup, Jalapeño Ketchup, and BBQ sauce. The milkshake was delicious. The Bacon was more prevalent, chunky, and savory than I would have thought but it turned out really well by balancing out the sweet. They have two TVs but neither of them were playing any NCAAF. Also the Slider record is 29. I think it’s beatable.

This place has been on my list for a couple of years. So naturally when I was hanging out with a fellow elite last night and she mention this spot we instantly made a detour and came to mark. My friend spoke so highly of this place that my expectations were high and I must say that Mark met those expectations. I got 2 bacon sliders, she got the guinness milk shake. So of corse I had sip of her milk shake and it was DELICIOUS! What a perfect idea, blending desert with beer to make a tasty intoxicating concoction. The rich taste of Guinness stout fits perfectly into a milkshake. You must try this milk shake. The bacon sliders were excellent. Tender flavorful beef with bacon infused into the burger meat. The bread was fresh and soft and the burger meat appears to be ground on premises. Mark is giving you excellent quality and more than a reasonable portion for your money. I think they may have overtaken Criff dogs as my go to late night food spot in the area. Mark gets a very solid 4 – 4.5. I’m going to come back and try a few more items, like the fries in particular. If the rest of what I try is on par with what I already had I will bump them to 5.

Deliciously juicy sliders for $ 2.75($ 3 with cheese). There are four condiments placed at each table(ketchup, barbecue, chipotle, and jalapeño). This is my go-to spot whenever I’m around St. Mark’s.

Warning: this place is all sliders. Do NOT expect to find a normal sized burger here. I am super disappointed. You know what NYC lacks? That burger and slider game. And then I hear about Mark and I get stoked. I come into the place with my friend. Feelin’ the vibes. I am ready… and then I see the slider and fries. Sliders are just standard. There wasn’t anything special about them. It’s basically the equivalent of what you could get a diner. The cheese fries were above average. The distribution of cheese was a little iffy. They got soggy after awhile. It was basically the In N Out animal fries conundrum. I was full after half a thing of cheese fries, two sliders, and… the redeeming quality about the meal: THATGUINNESSSHAKE. Bomb. If you come here, you have to get it. Don’t question it. It is big, so be prepared. Service was decent. It took a long time for us to put in our initial order but after that, it was basically standard service of any normal restaurant. I can see why you would want to come here and maybe my high hopes tainted by view but they’re just sliders. Nothing too special.

Great sliders, good fries and reasonably priced good beer. The regular slider, which comes with american cheese and onions, is deliciously greasy and flavorful. The fries were good but not especially memorable. Excellent chocolate milk shake! I want to come back to try the guiness shake. They have a decent selection of bottled and draft beers(I had a tall boy of Wet Hot American Wheat by Finch Brewing in Chicago), they only have 4 drafts and were out of 2 at the time but the beer was only $ 6. A nice chill place for food on St. Marks

Sliders! Shakes! Fries! I owe a debt of gratitude to Unilocal for introducing me to this place. While wandering around St. Marks, I wanted a burger, and Unilocal guided me to the doors of Mark. When you walk in, it looks like a bar/lounge — well, it kind of is. But, it happens to be a bar/lounge that sells bitchin’ sliders made right in front of your nose. The menu isn’t extensive: it’s pretty much sliders, cheese sliders, and other sliders, accompanied by french fries and a milkshake, if you’re not feeling or a beer(or even if you are, who cares, get both). There isn’t really a «healthy» option, so if it’s diet week, you best look elsewhere. The Nutella milkshake is heaven on earth and, in my experience, pairs wonderfully with a brown ale. The bartenders/waiters are always friendly and keep you satisfied. Mark is just a fun, unpretentious restaurant that does something well and sticks with it.

Mark is pretty much an unbeatable E.V. hangout. You get to admire the bustling St. Mark’s vibe from a distance, but inside it remains delightful chill despite the constant good-sized crowds. It’s a seat yourself scenario with friendly service. And a perfect Mark meal is basically a pair of sliders with one of their heavenly shakes and fries split with a buddy or two. Sliders are basic but flavorful, the fries are crispy and cooked to perfection, and the milkshakes, oh the milkshakes… They come served in a classic tall soda fountain sort of glass with piles of whipped cream on top. They’re the priciest thing on the menu, but boy are they worth it. My one question for Mark is what’s going on with their adorable colorful cow who usually welcome visitors from St. Marks, but was more recently seen hiding under a nearby staircase. What’s up?!

It’s late at night and New York has a ton of terrific options to feed the beast. Unfortunately, many of these places do not have a bathroom. After finding a bathroom in Mark… wow, that sounds really dirty lols. Um, after finding a bathroom in this restaurant, I knew I would have to stay and eat. Mark features«the best sliders in town» or some claim along those lines. I went with a bacon cheeseburger slider, a pulled pork slider, and $ 5 fries because NY just loves charging $ 5 for fries. Sody pop is limited at this place, but there are free refills on Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. Service kind of suffers late at night, as one server takes care of the entire house. Fortunately, the server was very talented and managed to negotiate her way through quite a few tables at once. The atmosphere was relaxed enough that I didn’t mind sitting back and waiting a little longer. My food came at a reasonable time. I was ready for the bacon cheeseburger slider to be good, and it was. The pulled pork slider, however, had to be subpar. Surely a late night slider shop won’t have good pulled pork, right? Boy, was I wrong. The pulled pork was remarkably good. I would put it on the same level as some of the best places in the South. My $ 5 fries dragged this meal down significantly. Fresh cut fries can be remarkable if done right, and can fail epically if done wrong. This was a great example of the later. Most of the fries were overdone, while one of them was somehow raw. This is unacceptable for $ 5 fries. No amount of sauce, salt, or pepper can hide poorly cooked fries. Sometimes, you’re out late in the city and you need both good food and a bathroom. Terrible french fries aside, Mark has both things. Mark’s menu can use a lot more variety, and they should consider a slider of the month, featuring some more exotic flavor combinations. Still, I enjoyed my meal and would happily return if I find myself in the East Village late at night in need of both good food and a clean restroom.

Bacon lover? Not me, but as for the Candied Bacon Shake, I’d give it a shot. Crazy. Some might say it sounds nasty, it wasn’t so bad, in fact it was good. Sweet vanilla-ee slow sips of thick creamy shake with bits of salty bacon. We also went for their Guinness Shake, can’t have burgers without a shake, or beer? Malty, thick, cold… everything a shake is suppose to have, and then the Guinness creeps in sip after sip, only thing is, you can’t get drunk off of this. Good sized sliders for the prices. I got the Double Bacon and a Pulled Pork. I favored the burger more, juicy patties covered in melted cheese, topped with a small slice of bacon and sweet caramelized onions. They have several sauces at the table for the meal. I had some jalapeño sauce to go with my pulled pork, good spice to enhance the flavors. The pork was already saucy to begin with so easy on the sauces! The only disappointment was the Chili Cheese Fries. The presentation was serious, fries smothered in gooey cheese, mounted with chili. Excited to dig in only to taste bland chili sauce with flavorless meat. Besides almost sitting into other peoples faces while trying to squeeze into the tight seating, it was a pretty satisfying Monday night. Actually, more like guilty pleasures.

My girlfriend wanted a low key burger spot for dinner and chose Mark. I’ve passed by this place more times than I can remember but have never been so I was definitely excited to try. The inside is very dim, divey and chill, where you expect the tables to be dirty and sticky but fortunately that was not the case. A few tables up front, a long bar area and a few more tables in the back. We ordered the Guiness shake, candied bacon shake and chili cheese fries to share and two sliders each(I had the turkey and pulled pork). The shakes tasted exactly as they sounded. Both were very thick but had distinct tastes. I much preferred the Guiness. I felt way too guilty to take more than a few sips of the bacon one but if you’re a lover of bacon, this would be a solid choice. There are bacon bits throughout. The sliders were a good size, good price and pretty tasty. The pulled pork was very tender and saucy. The turkey was solid too, one of the more juicy and flavorful patties that I’ve had. The chili cheese fries were a tad disappointing. It was an extravagant sight but the chili was bland, the fries were mostly soggy and the cheese was very watery. We had to make use of the various sauces on the table(chipotle, jalapeño, bbq) to give it more life. If I were to return, I’d stick strictly to the sliders.
