Masterdisk Corporation

After tons of research and several quotes we decided on Scott Hull at Masterdisk for our album mastering. Scott’s and Masterdisk’s track record speaks for itself but we were still blown away with the quality of his work, professionalism and organization throughout the process. Even though we are an indie group we were never made to feel any less important to him, in fact he seemed just as passionate about our project as we are and always took the time to answer our (probably dumb) questions without making us feel like a we were asking too much. Even after the mastering process Scott and his associate Kevin Peterson were always helpful and graciously answered a ton of other questions we had about file formats, duplication, online distributing ect. These guys were there for us from start to finish, and even a bit after finish :)
Sonically they took our music to the next level. The clarity, warmth, separation and loudness they brought to our tracks really exceeded our expectations. They really improved upon our mix, it’s amazing how clear, crisp and balanced it sounds now. Not to mention it is broadcast loud without sounding compressed, or too pushed. Our album has a lot of different sounding songs, almost different genres, and it became clear that Scott applies mastering differently per song based on each song’s needs individually. He also fixed several of issues in our mixes that we didn’t even know could be fixed.
On top of all of this, his price was substantially less than quotes we got from his competitors, which is big for an indie group like us and surprising considering Scott Hull and Masterdisk are on a short list of the best engineers /​mastering houses in the world!
Overall we couldn’t be happier and it was a pleasure working with these true professionals. They are my new go-​to for my projects and I will be singing their praises!
