This is probably my favorite bar/lounge to come to with my friends. Long Island Iced Teas are $ 14 but when you’re in the city, what drink won’t be expensive? I had my birthday party at Mazaar with about 25 people, and the host was very accommodating. 3 bottles and a complimentary hookah. The back section is very spacious for a group not to mention cozy. The vibe and ambiance is great. I always enjoy myself when I come here. Highly recommend to come with a group of friends. You will love it.

This place is so chill! It’s the perfect place to relax, smoke hookah, drink wine, and hang out with friends. 10⁄10 would recommend. Plus the staff is super nice!

The bar here is not that great. I arrived at 11:30 and every time I asked for a drink on their menu the bartender told me they didn’t have it. So why is it on the menu then??? Anyway the vibe was okay I guess, the DJ played dancehall, afrobeat, soca and hip hop but the crowd was a drag. There was way more ppl on the wall then actually dancing. Meh. Oh yeah, and there was a VIP section full of nobodies literally on the same floor a few steps away from the DJ. I tried to walk down thinking there was a dance floor and someone goes«no it’s VIP.» For whom? Who are you? WYD???

Scouting lounges in the Lower East Side for my birthday celebration. Stumbled across this Hookah lounge because of the music and Hookah bottle display in the front window. While the music is fantastic! I wish I could just hire the dj. The manager was so rude. Did not like the crowd. Hookah was harsh and too strong for my liking. Ordered glasses of champagne at the bar but the champagne had no bubbles! Would not return here!

The vibe was all good, I had been there since 9 pm enjoying the DJ and my drink. Around 11 pm I got singled out and asked to move cauSe I wasn’t smoking hookah, yet other couples around me had tabletops. I guess that’s how they treat people up North. If I’m a paying customer I should be able to sit where the hell I want. I won’t be back

Went there last night(Thursday) for a friend’s birthday outing. The DJ was pretty good for most of the time we were there(8:30−11:00ish). When we first got there we were the only ones(about 5 of us) but I didn’t mind at all. Later more friends joined our party and I spotted a few couples came out as the night went on(seems like a good spot for that lowkey vibe, prob just on weeknights though). Hookah is $ 25 each, we had mint and peach both were good. I’m not a drinker but drinks seemed to be on the pricier end. I would be willing to check it out on a Friday night as well.

Stay away. Drinks are weak and overpriced. The place is a sausage fest. The music sucks, they over compensate with base.

I went on a Thursday night the Dj was so good. He made me forget about the 15 $ Long Island. The staff was attentive. The hookah is 25 $, I’ve had cheaper but the ambiance, I’m all about ambiance, was great. The bathroom is unisex which is interested but I had fun. It wasn’t packed at all and I liked that, I’ll definitely go on a Thursday night again.

This place has a lot of potential. Great location, friendly staff, good music and GREAT hookah. However, the ventilation system is definitely not designed for a hookah spot so its a bit easy to get light headed. Also, there’s a 20% «service fee» applied to all parties regardless of size — which(let the waitress tell you) ISN’T a tip but IS just plain tacky(and possibly illegal?) Work out your vent situation and your sketchy charges and you’ll be 5-stars in my book.

Where do I start. I went here this past Saturday for a friend’s birthday celebration. Staff was not helpful with taking requests ESPECIALLYTHEBILL. First off, we ordered hookah and the product was great. I simply asked once the hookah wore out, if we can change the coals. They said ok and brought an entirely new order over! When I said we just wanted a coal change not a new hookah, they said it is ok you’re not going to be charged who then transferred it over on to my cousin’s boyfriend’s tab so the hookah won’t show on my bill. Then after showing the bill to my cousin, she had to take order because there was no itemized check, just the amount. In addition, when we finally received the breakdown, there was a discrepency with some of the items(drinks) that was charged under a different price tier and it was the bartender’s fault who didn’t correct it the first time. We asked for a manager to look into it but it took over 20 min. to deal with on a 2 min. issue.

Fabulous new spot in the lower east side! The drinks, hookah and music are superb. The staff is by far amazing and the Middle East décor sets the tone for a great night. If you are looking for a classy lounge, Mazaar is the place to be! Try the fresh garden(gin, basil, muddled cucumbers, fresh lime juice) and the exotic hookah, you will not be disappointed.
