Clean, a lot of tables available, super super fast, automatic counter, automatica refreshments… very good sandwiches, efficient… love it!

Terrible management, poor service and dirty location. There are many other options around. Save yourself the experience.

How does a giant Midtown McD’s have such total incompetence and be such a total horrorshow at 9 PM on a Thursday?
1. They were out of every single kind of soda and the caramel coffee shake thing my boyfriend ordered. They have those GIANT soda machines. They were out of Diet Root Beer. You KNOW if they are out of Diet Root Beer in ALL THREE soda machines. they’ve been waiting on a soda syrup delivery for a really really long time. We paid at the kiosk so we’d already paid for the items when we discovered they were not available. They gave my boyfriend a vanilla shake instead of the thing he ordered and were unwilling to refund the difference withough causing more of a ruckus than 75 cents warrants.
2. My fries were cold and it took them forever to give me new ones.
3. Every single garbage can in the place was overflowing.
4. Something was making a shrill beeping noise for the entire time we were there.
Not asking for a lot from Mickey D’s, but this was awful.

I had the best double cheeseburger ever! The temperature and everything was perfect! Woooooow! Kudos!

The only thing I can say about them that is a negative that they don’t have the highest prices of all the McDonald in that area.
Now that we got that out of the way, I would like to talk about their general level of incompetence.
I have occasionally gone to this location over the last 1.5 years after work. Early morning when the lines aren’t long. Their hours of operation are constantly changing even though they are supposedly open and serving for 24 hours of the day.
They have quite a few registers to choose from but usually only have 2 open in those early morning and late at night. And hopefully they’ll charge you what it said on the register. Another reason why I keep MY receipts, when they remember to give them to ME.
Yesterday, they went on strike (again) because they wanted to increase their wages to $ 15(let’s not even get into that topic of discussion), so I could understand why there was no service available all day.
Today they were back to work on what I’d like to believe was a slow down at the expense of their customers and employer. 1 register open and upwards of 8 minutes per order delivered! Not only was my food lukewarm (eww), but I also missed my bus.
Apparently NONE of the cashiers know how to offer refunds.
And to make matters worse, when one went back to get a manager to do it, they saw that my food was done a while ago, hence the lukewarmy-​ness. This was the cherry on top of a 1.5 year crap cake.
I’m going to stop here because I’ve made my point and anything after this would just be offensive.

This one sucks. The service is incredibly slow even when there’s a decent number of people lining up for this place. It’s dirty and their soda machine’s are all sticky. The food, however, is pretty average. Just your average McDonald’s.
The worst part is that at around 9−10pm, THEY RUN OUT OF ICE CREAM. like those delicious cheap cones and McFlurries. NO MORE. It’s the worst. I hate it. It’s happened like 6 times to me already. It’s like running out of happiness. How do you run out of happiness? You run out of ice cream. SO BAD.
It’s completely depressing.

NO I HIGHLY DISAGREE in fast food workers striking to get paid $ 15/​hr when their service hardly improves and is ALWAYS inconsistent and irritating and service is NEVER fast despite being a FAST food establishment!
McDonalds never fails to amaze me with their SUPERIOR HORRIBLE customer service and poorly trained staff. I thought this particular one would slightly provide better service than the others scattered throughout the city due to its proximity to major tourist sites, one being the most visited: Empire State Building which is literally right across the street, but boy was I wrong.
It was a cold Black Friday night and I was in the area and decided to step in to grab a quick bite before heading home. Right at the entrance, this young kid (not sure if he was a bum or just had no $$) was shivering and opening doors for people and begging them for food because he was hungry. He also asked me but I just entered the store without thinking much because I was hungry and because it was shit COLD!
Anyways I step in, order one Bacon Habanero Ranch burger and a Big Mac and show my promo receipt (Buy any large burger, get one free after completing a survey online) and the girl behind the counter gives me a confused look. If she was well informed and trained, she would’ve acknowledged the promo and charge me for one burger and was charging me for the Big Mac. That’s when I told her that the 2^nd burger is free and she’s like no and I said YES. As my voice got higher, she calls her manager.
The Indian-​looking manager lady arrives shortly, scans my entire body from top to bottom with her doubtful idiotic eyes and tells me that the promo is ‘for FRIES only’ LMAO I told her exactly these words: «Are you fucking kidding me? I’ve used the promo all the time in multiple locations in the city and I know my shit. Don’t try to fool me because I’m no fucking tourist nor will fall into your trick. Obviously YOU DO NOT know how to do your job right’. She replies back ‘It’s our policy, it’s only fries’ LOL I laugh out loud sarcastically and then she shows the girl behind the counter that rung me up how to do the promo and literally told her in a slightly low tone ‘MAKE SURE YOU RIP the receipt so he wont be able to use it again’.
ARE YOU FUCKING kidding me? Do I look like a bum to you??? I’m fucking from SOUTH KOREA, where we make SAMSUNG, HYUNDAI, LG, and all the good shit you probably are using you ignorant lady! Pure ridiculousness.
That being said, I got my two burgers, and feeling disgusted by the incident that just happened and while I was exiting the place, for some unknown reason, something inside deep my heart led me to hand over one of the burgers to the kid outside who was hungry. He was surprised and thanked me greatly and stepped inside (McDonalds are kicking out loiterers these days who did not make a purchase).
I guess it was the Angel inside of me or just because I know the feeling of hunger and I’ve been there when I started with nothing when I first moved to NYC. I usually ignore and degrade beggars who beg for cash if they have two perfectly functioning arms and legs, but begging for food due to hunger that shit is real. One time I gave a beggar leftover pieces of pizza and he replied with a «FUCK YOU, I don’t need pizza, I need $$!!» I replied back to that beggar «FUCK YOU you worthless piece of lazy shit, get a fucking job and stop wasting my tax dollars on welfare and food stamps you fucking thug!!’ and walked away like a boss.
See, people who DO NOT know me well would probably think I’m some pretentious foul mouth asshole but I do have a soft, and ‘human’ side in me and can be nice… especially if one asked in a kind manner and not just a ‘Yo, can I have a dollar?’ kind of bullshit.
Last but not least that manager needs either get demoted to a line employee or get written up for NOT knowing the policy of a promo that McDonalds promises.

THEY HAVE HOT N SPICY MCCHICKEN!
I came here whilst inebriated and tried my luck asking for the southern Hot n Spicy McChicken. AND THEY HAD IT! This literally just made my month. I’ve been craving the spicy counterpart to the McChicken for a good three months.
Though they did have this elusive item, it wasn’t as good as the ones I get in Texas… Will go back again sober and try the item again.
But as of right now, the fact that they have it at all is incredible. And though it doesn’t rise up to the level of southern Hot n Spicy McChickens, it’s still better than the normal, bland, northern McChicken.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! 2 THUMBS DOWN!!!
I ordered only one thing: 4 piece chicken nugget and they made me wait like 15 MINUTES and up for it. I mean like come on! This lady who came in 10 minutes after me and ordered a 10 piece nugget with fries got hers in FREAKING 5 SECS. There is definitely something messed up with their ordering system and wait time. When I noticed that, I asked the server how long it was going to get my order and she had the gall to shove her hand in my face to wait and continue taking orders from other customers and ignore me. What a B***CH!!! I swear its like my order never showed up on screen or something. This guy who was just ordered noticed my frustration and said they sure are taking a long time «must be making a turkey». I mean like how hard is to make a 4 pieces of chicken nuggets. Geez!!! This women next to me waited a long time for her two ice cream cones too. I don’t know what is wrong with this McDonalds!

This McDonald’s is located right on 5^th avenue on 34^th street so I’m sure it gets its fair share of tourists daily with the Empire State Building being in the nearby vicinity.
The service is okay, but not quite at the speed that you might come to expect from a McDonald’s. I went in earlier this week to grab a blueberry pomegranate smoothie, which was on special and being featured on the breakfast menu. I was given a number with my receipt. After a few minutes an employee kept calling out the wrong number, but had my smoothie in her hand. It’s important to note that the place was not packed at all. After she realized her mistake she handed me the smoothie and I was also handed my yogurt parfait. Apparently they don’t bag any drinks/​parfaits and you’re expected to bag your items on the way out. I was kind of surprised by this. Oh! And to top it off I forgot to grab a straw, since I’m not used to packing my stuff.
In conclusion, not the best start to my day.

The service is just okay to me. Not «fast» as it should be in McDonald’s especially when I only ordered a double cheeseburger and small french fries. I noticed that the employees engage in more gossip than service to customers as with many fast food eateries (nothing new), but I do love the murals here. This McDonald’s SCREAMS New York City with the artwork. Haha. For the nice wall art, chandelier, and the food being fresh, 3 stars. I think I will call this the New York City Mickey D’s. Haha.

This has to be the nicest looking McDonald’s I have ever been in. They have nice murals, new soda machines with 100+ flavors, very sleek layout, especially for a fast food joint. But 1, the service is horrible. Last night I thought only 2 people were there, and then at least 30 minutes later I noticed there was actually at least 6 people there. I have no idea where the other 4 came from, but then there’s less of an excuse for the service and cleaniness.
It takes them forever to get the food out to you, even if you order the most basic things. They don’t know the placement of things, and apparently are not well stocked, given the fact that my friend couldn’t get hot chocolate and had to settle for tea. They made it up to him by accidentally giving him 1 extra chicken nugget.
The entire place is just disgusting, from the floor to the table tops, to the walls even. Nobody cleans this place, I stepped on a spilled McFlurry when I was sitting, definitely not something I would expect. You HAVE TO wipe down the table tops, and also most likely clear off the garbage. Proof that nobody cleans in there, is the fact that there was a paper happy 2012 top hat on one of the tables. I’m assuming that table wasn’t cleaned for at least 24 hours. Also no soap in the bathroom, and you can draw a conclusion regarding the state of the bathroom yourself.
This is definitely one of the nicest, but worst kept McDonald’s I have ever been in.

Above average for a McDonalds but the staff leaves little to be desired. With the exception of the wonderful Indian woman at the register, the rest of this staff is mediocre. The place is cleaner than most Mickey D’s.

Lots of tourists, obviously — it’s across from the empire state. City Mc Donald’s prices (they add that extra buck on the twofers and whatnot). The seemingly all Dominican cast of employees does a pretty good job of making and serving this grub that’ll prob be the bane of our existence.
Free wi-​fi, $ 1 coffee and lots of seating in this nicely renovated Mickey D’s keeps me coming back… what more can I say? It’s Mc donalds
