I’m big fun of Y-​3 sneakers and I can always found my size. It’s cozy and comfortable store. One of my favorite.

Came here on a rainy NY day to do some holiday shopping. Glad I did! If you near NYU swing by.

Abysmal customer service. Never busy. Not sure how they stay open especially given that, on the occasion they do get a customer they act like they could care less. 100% incompetent staff. Decent selection but very easier to find all of the stuff somewhere like Bloomingdales.

I placed an order for a popular shirt that had been drastically marked down. They charged my account, sent a confirmation email and other marketing emails. Then 3 days later they send me an email telling me that they’ve cancelled my order because the shipping address did not match the billing address. (WTF!!!) I’ve ordered from the likes of Bloomies, Saks, Nieman, Gucci, and have always had everything delivered directly to my work address with no problems AT ALL! …This hole in the wall didn’t even have the courtesy to hold the order and try to verify anything. They just canceled the order and advised me to place it again and have it shipped to the billing address. I really wanted the item so I decided to follow their suggestion. And of course when I go back to process the new order the item is no longer available and my card has been charged for the original order.

i was looking for a restaurant one sunny day and i walked by Memes. i was drooling at the small-​but-​awesome collection of sneakers/​shoes they had on display. i noticed the graphic t-​shirts and hip hop mix tapes on the shelf, too. i liked the vibe and the humble space. the staff was very inviting and helpful when i asked them questions about their jewelry collection.
the few other times i’ve been back– there’s been a new rotation of staff, a more eclectic clothing palette and even more dope jewelry. Johnny– who’s ill with it knows the ins and outs of pop culture and what’s hot in NYC. from blogs to sneaks and fashion related parties/​shows… this guy is your guide to cool sh*t. he was a delight to meet and i appreciate how much he knew about the products and recommended other places i could find what i was looking for.
the japanese love their hip hop. no, really… they’re obsessed with it. they also love them some fashion/​style. Memes is just that = hip hop + fashion = had a japanese baby. the baby grew up in NYC in its college years and now it is this classy/​stylish/​handsome/​mature adult.

An email list I’m on pointed me here for cool, hip accessories (chains, etc) for guys. Unfortunately, the photo in the email was the only accessory in the store that I 1) liked and 2) could pull off.
Staff member said «hello» and then pretty much stared at me like I was going to steal something the entire time. Comforting — not.
If you’re over 27, this is not a place where you’ll find much of anything to wear.

Terrible customer service. Misleading sizing on their items and claim it is «japanese sizing». The size is marked on the item itself but they change it on the packaging so you are completely mis-​led when purchasing. When I went to exchange a small for a medium, they said a medium does not exist in japan. When they didn’t have an item for me to exchang, they would not refund me and offered a store credit good for 30 days. Was extremely rude and unhelpful. Would never shop here again if I didn’t have to use the store credit. If they had more than 20 items in the store, it might be easier to use the credit in 30 days.
Much better options in the EV or LES for better prices.

if you are down with urban threads this is a must stop. walk in, head nods to the beat (s) and then notices the simple layout of kicks, t-​shirts and threads lacing the walls. i don’t always walk out with something, but when i do it lasts.
